Bought a JVC Fire TV about 2 years ago and it was fine for about a year. Now it's a game of if/when it works properly when I turn it on. It's in my bedroom, so I only use it a few hours each night, but it's now epicly slow to react to the remote, selects random channels when I try and select a channel I want to watch, and now the screen will go from black to grey when I've selected a channel I want to watch. I won't be replacing it with another JVC tv , that's for sure.

The TV is virtually unusable. The apps don’t open, the remote is so rubbish that you have to stand right in front of the TV to make it function. Don’t buy a JVC!

I Agree with everyone here,jvc 43" firestick tv was ok to start with,then the remote started playing up,would only switch the tv on and off until you unplugged the TV and removed the batteries from the remote and started over,now the tv won't connect to the wifi,only 2 years old,will never buy again

I have had many smart TV's and was a TV engineer for 30 years and never come across such a pile of rubush in my life, my JVC android TV takes 10-15 minutes to respond to remote commands, when it does all previous button presses activate in sequence, apps such as i-player dont work and the only way we can watch anything is via my phone app, all other devices in the house work perfectly from WiFi all the updates make no diference

Worst TV I’ve ever had…..and I mean, ever.
So slow. Takes around 10 mins to connect to internet and that’s if it does. Apps don’t function properly. Oops errors all the time
Awful TV by JVC

The smart TV we have from jvc is unusable. It virtually doesn't function. Most apps don't open on first try. Some won't work at all. Bbc won't load etc. freezes all the time. Truly terrible

Bought a pair of earbuds, dropped once from 2 feet height, broke immediately. Cheap quality breaks easily. Never buying anything from this brand again.

After 12 month warranty stop working don't waste your money

So many problems with television set...so slow to change channels.. cannot use numbers on remote to change channels... every few days we lose few channels/usually back following day

I agree with everyone here. JVC TVs are a piece of crap. It's like wading through treacle trying to do anything. Can't believe they've got away with selling such junk

Awful. Do not buy. Slow and non-responsive.
As other reviews I also bought my TV in 2021 and after just one year (a month after the guarantee ran out) it stopped turning off properly and kept turning itself back on when we didn't want it to. It has also progressively been getting more and horizontal lines across it and takes at least 10 minutes for the screen to fully turn on as the image comes on gradually in sections of the black screen. Surely this is a fault as it seems all of the TVs with this issue were bought in 2021?!?! Biggest waste of money ever.

Terrible tv. Bought in August 21 and now in January 24 there is permanent lines across the screen and then random lines appearing more often then disappearing again. Problems like this should not be happening after 2 years. Terrible tvs and I thought jvc was a good brand. £400 for two years use. What a crap value for money. AVOID!!!!

If I could give this review 0 then I would the remote control is terrible unfortunately for me I didn’t read the reviews before I purchased this tv it’s very frustrating trying to change channels or Apps Netflix just jumps about a terrible purchase

Broke after 18 months. turns on and off by itself and wont recognise the remote. Absolutely useless! bought from curry's and out of warranty.

Do not buy a jvc android tv from Currys . Total useless piece of garbage . Spend a couple of more pound on something else. Real

Lasted three weeks, now totally unusable. All apps break and force the screen to restart after 5mins. Can't stream to it. Wire connected not on wifi. The unit now just power cycles every 5mins even if nothing is running. Shame as it's great for the price, but I suppose cheap is cheap. I'll see if I have any luck getting my money back from Currys...

I have JVC 50” from 2021 and it’s very slow TV, braking with the apps and wi-fi or when you want to switch off or switch on the tv you have to do this multiple times sometimes - so annoying. After one year “stripes” appeared on the bottom of the screen and now after less than three years “stripes” are visible on the top of the screen. Only good thing was a price and very good quality of the screen. I paid £300 for this TV. I don’t recommend to anyone, please avoid this TV. They should stick to the sound systems and sound devices which they’re good with 😉
