I love Kokoro, I order it weekly as I work from home and I have the spicy chicken curry delivered to me in Forge Wood on Cornwell Avenue. The dish is consistent, and taste so good. I can’t recommend t... Toon meer

If you have to eat without Gluten, don't bother with Kokoro!
Absolutely nothing Gluten free on the menu! Appalling!
Bland and difficult to eat
Oxford branch: Korean Chilli Chicken was bland and tasted like school food stew with a few chilli flakes sprinkled over it. The food is served in tall-sided tubs with rice at the bottom and completely covered by the main, such that you can't get to the rice without eating all the main first. I wanted to mix it up. Anyway, just not very nice and I left most of it.
Kokoro in morden
Kokoro in morden. Please don't bother going. Staff rude and unhelpful. The food is cold and revolting. To make matters worse one member of staff was putting her fingers in the food and eating from it! We left our food and went. It's mostly empty in there and now I know why! Avoid!
Kokoro Bedford
I absolutely love the food and the person serving was super sweet ^^
Kokoro - the slowest fast food in town.
Kokoro - where you spend most of your lunch break queuing only to learn they’ve currently run out of that item or it will be another ten minutes.
Then the server asks you multiple times what you ordered while talking to their colleagues.
Kokoro Bromley - Save Your Money
Kokoro Bromley - Save your money and don't bother. Three very junior members of staff behind the counter, none of whom have any interest in serving customers. I had to wait ages for them to all finish their private conversations. One was on their mobile phone whilst preparing food. One was adjusting their hair (No head covering) and the male member was spraying aftershave on himself in the food preparation area. How I was wishing for an enforcement officer from the Food Standards Agency to walk in. I have sent the FSA details of my experience along with details of the reheating of their rice with I threw away.
only gasts at 3 tabels
only gasts at 3 tabels, and it took 1 hour too serve 6 small things for 6 persons. and costed 195 euro 😞
Bone shards in meal - ignored by restaurant
Purchased a takeaway via Deliveroo from the Crawley branch to celebrate a birthday. Found a huge, sharp shard of bone in my partner's meal, along with loads of tiny pieces making it inedible. Contacted Kokoro but they never bothered emailing or calling back. Have had no choice but to contact enviromental health. Poor kitchen practices and terrible customer service.
Won't be buying Kokoro again.
I used to like Kokoro. Now, the noodles are different. They were hard and didn't taste fresh or authentic. The sweet chilli was far too hot, as in peppery. Was not enjoyable at all. Burnt lips for me and my boys. There is never any salmon available so take it off of the menu!!!
Delivery service is painful to setup
When you can’t pay for food because Deliveroo are having a fit with new customers trying to order on PayPal or credit card. Ordered pizza instead….not a problem ordering direct from restaurant.
I come the Gloucester kokoro most break…
I come the Gloucester kokoro most break times while I’m at work and never have a bad experience, the staff are always kind and presentation of the food is always the best.
Portions are so small
Portions are so small. My kimbap.came dry and inedible wouldn't feed tgis to a dog. Phoned them and was promised a refund. Nothing. Avoid, avoid avoid
Kokora Bracknell - AVOID!!!!
Kokora Bracknell.
If we could give 0 stars we would! We ordered and paid for food last night.
Got to the restaurant on time to collect food the next evening. The appalling manager told us the food wasn't ready until an hr later even tho I was there within my designated time slot and ample food was ready and on show.
Chucked us a tub of #ubbish to feed 3 people. The manger was very abrupt and unhelpful, embarrassing that she chose to treat and talk to a customer like she did in-front of staff and other customers who also walked out.
Argumentative, unhelpful, embarrassing! The small amount of food we tried was cold, bland and tasteless.
Please please stay well away!!!!! Chopsticks is only around the corner. The food there is fresh, hot and tasty! Staff also very kind and helpful
A few concerns but amazing
Couple weeks ago i ordered the noodles and chicken katsu and it was delicious before then i went to a different place and the curry made me sick but the katsu curry at Kokoro is so fresh and delicious perfect amount of kick. However today, i ordered some crunchy chicken rolls not sure if it was personal preference but the chicken had a fishy/salmon face it was really good but the taste of the chicken put me off so i took a piece and removed the crunchy stuff ontop and the fishy taste was still there. I looked closer and couldn't see any sort of fish. I also had the fried chicken gyozas, they were delicious, perfect crunchy not too chewy the chicken tasted like left over slow cooked chicken yet still tasted fresh. Overall it is so amazing, however i will be avoiding the sushi after the crunchy chicken roll due to concerns on cross contamination but im probably just paranoid after past experiences. Definitely get their noodle/rice meals and the katsu curry and sweet chilli chicken for the first time.
Worst service and cold food
KOKORO - a waste of hard earned money ...
Tuesday 9 January at 10.33am I ordered a sweet and sour chicken from Kokoro in Guildford Surrey costing £12.33 (the courier was Deliveroo Just Eat don't deliver for Kokoro). There was no sweet and sour taste and what appeared were black bits of meat which were unidentifiable and as tough as old leather boots. An inedible meal and a waste of hard earned money.
Why no tofu? Lol?
Its very good food but never any tofu, if they don't get on this issue as soon as possible unless they want me to get involved and.. heh.. you do not wanna mess with me when Im hungry. I am a 434lbs beast, they call me Mr Exponential for a reason now.. Get that tofu ready we'll be best friends. Thanks! xox Harold Exponential II
We had Bulgogi yuck
We had Bulgogi. Terrible. Sweet, Greasy , fat in meat. Not hot.
Not at all like the true Bulgogi dish
Hair found in food
Went to Kokoro today and ordered noodles and chicken. Found a big, grey hair in my food ! I couldn’t eat my food after that. The colleague was apologetic but guess that’s not the point
A novel way to try Japanese style prepared food but what a hefty price tag for such small portions.
Having eaten Japanese food in real Japanese restaurants in London and in Japan. I have eaten Korean food in Korea and Chinese food in China. I was interested to try out this restaurant in Hastings which offers a blend of Korean/Japanese food. What first impacted on me is that this is clearly a franchise along the lines of a Subway style fast food outlet. As with subway, packaged food is relatively fresh when dropped off at the outlet, though we cannot escape the fact it involves an element of processed food though nicely presented. Packaged food is freshly prepared on the premises, though we need to think about the marketing use of the word....freshly? Factoring in the prices, the restaurant could certainly do with more customer space? authentic staff and on a sunny day there is basic seating outside. Take away is available which brings us back to the processed/packaged food element? The food is ok but certainly not on a par with real fresh food outlets in Taiwan, China, Korea or Japan but I can understand the differences are unavoidable. We are in the UK and this is in fact a franchise, a business idea targeting providing food in a style which looks different. You get rice, noodles, seaweed, vegetables, chicken and seasonings which are different to what you are used to. The word Sushi simply means how a combination of foods are prepared, presented to a consumer. Real Japanese soups are incredibly good and the real deals come in a hefty large bowl with lots noodles, meat/vegetables and exciting tastes and real such food outlets can be found in London. (well worth the trip). I found on offer in Kokoro, the use of small bowls, small portions and high prices. This is a novelty franchise where you can get a snack if you are in a hurry (fast food). I suspect the appeal is that we get a feeling of trying a different type of fast food. It is all in the marketing, liberal usage of wording for healthy fresh food etc. I gave it a try, I still really do like genuine freshly prepared Japanese soups etc and for Korean food, Kimchi (pickled cabbage) is ok and they do eat a lot of rice and fish. But, none of these compare to the extensive choices of foods/meals, and broad variety of seasonings available from Chinese restaurants. When I buy a meal I want to feel like I have had a meal and not a nicely presented expensive snack.
