Great job, helpful chap

I nearly wrecked a friend's macbook with liquid damage (orange-juice spill). I tried two other repair shops before going to Mark and they only made it worse. Mark not only saved the laptop, but possibly saved my friendship as well. Thank you Mark!

Honest and efficient repair.
Mark was totally honest with me and showed me the botched repair it was done by another obscure shop in town using fake Mac parts.
He ordered authentic Mac parts and completed the repair earlier he had told me. He also showed to me the difference between the authentic Mac part he had installed and the fake part the previous shop had installed.
My MacBook is working now absolutely fine. As he told me, upgrading the iOS got the computer to recognise the installed part as authentic and now everything runs like a dream.
Shame I wasted money in an earlier repair that lasted only for a few months.

I know I’ll come back to Mark next time I have a problem, for sure!

I brought in a MacBookPro where I was convinced the battery had died. Mark had already quoted to replace it, but on arrival he showed me it still worked, explained patiently about chargers and not to use third party ones. Talked me through what I should be buying for current and future proofing, then charged me a very reasonable fee (the triage fee, which is about a 6th of the cost to replace the battery). The MacBook now works great again with his suggestions. Thanks Mark!

Mark was excellent. What I mean by that is not only did he fix my iMac he also changed the screen as he had a a spare one. Mark is the only guy to trust when it comes to repairing Macs. I recommend him very highly. It’s been a while since he fixed my iMac and its running as good as it’s ever been.

Insightful service and very responsive. Found Mark online after spilling juice all over my Macbook Pro and he was really helpful in fixing it, much more so than anyone at Apple was. He triarged the situation quickly after getting in touched, offered clear time scales for resolution and was realistic about the outcome and price. Would highly recommend for any Apple-related hardware problems in Cambridge.

The service I received from The Apple Guy was fantastic in every respect. Mark (The Apple Guy) was knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and extremely reasonable in terms of cost. Above all though, he did an excellent job of repairing my MacBook which had suffered liquid damage. I would recommend anyone with an apple pc that needs attention to take it to Mark at The Apple Guy.

Mark's web site has his necessary disclaimers re: the potential losing of 'stuff' from devices.. It does of course have to be there... But, I get the strong impression that Mark would rather run a marathon across the desert before he would lose anyone's 'stuff'.
Mark did not lose my 'stuff'. He was also just brilliant in very clearly laying out what my options are. I, now, would not even consider leaving my device(s) with anyone else..

Mark was incredibly helpful and direct, which I appreciated very much. He showed me where he thinks the issue might be with my device and explained what the repair process would be like. My device was perfectly functioning within a few days, I can’t thank him enough. Excellent service for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
