Brakes and suspension work
I booked brakes and suspension work on my daily car and the difference afterwards was easy to notice. It tracked straight, stopped confidently and the rattles had disappeared. I also appreciated having the individual part numbers listed on the invoice for my own records.

Quality experience that's hard to come by these days

Great service
Brilliant service right from the start of booking it on line what was easy to do . Right to the day of my cars full service. They kept in touch throughout the day either by txt message or through the link they send you and your kept in the loop of progress of your vehicle all day until you collect it from them at MB motors Rugeley. Use of photos
The use of photos, digital diagnostics and online approvals made the service easier to follow. Instead of vague explanations, I could actually see what had been checked and what the garage was recommending.

Wow! What an experience, highly recommend MB MOTORS in Rugeley.
Booked in for a change of 3 tyres, that I purchased from an online company, in which I've used for many years now. Normally, I'm waiting outside tyres changed and thats it.
But! I had the 5*treatment...Professional staff, wonderful waiting area, where you are offered teas and coffee, or even a cold drink from the fridge. You can even watch through a clear window whilst your car is being serviced.
This garage is second to none in my experience, I will definitely be using these guys again.

Better communication
Communication was one of the better parts of the visit. I received updates on the progress of my car rather than having to keep calling, and I knew where things stood before collection.

Fabulous garage, the work was done fast and the price was reasonable. Work was done well with a 12 month guarantee. Im so glad i had the full health check it has put my mind at rest that my car is roadworthy and safe

Main Dealer levels of Service, without the high price.
I used MB Motors last year for the Service and MOT on my Audi A5 Quattro. Most recently they rectified a leaking exhaust for me. The day after the repair there was a slight issue with the repair. They promptly collected my car, rectified it, valeted it and delivered it back home.
No matter how careful work is carried out things can go wrong, that is just a fact of life. The measure of a good company is how they deal with the problem. Having worked for Motor Manufacturers and Distributors for over 40 years I have seen some great garages and some awful ones. The service MB give ranks among the best.

Very misleading booking system
Very misleading booking system, having booked online, the price for my E class B service was from £236, So fair enough, it's not an exact quotation even though reg number was supplied, but when the confirmation link came through the price had jumped to £449, £213 more than the price at book in. Sorry but how can I trust a garage that runs this practice, so glad I picked this up the before handing my car over.
This review is for the booking in process, not the quality of workmanship as I cancelled the service and have since gone elsewhere. Such a shame as I was looking for a local garage to service my cars and this looks like a well set up workshop.

Our booking system clearly displayed a “from” price of £236, not a fixed quotation. Once the exact manufacturer requirements for your particular Mercedes E-Class B Service were confirmed, we contacted you well before your appointment and provided the full price of £449. You therefore knew the exact cost before bringing the vehicle to us, no work was carried out and you were not charged anything.
Thousands of customers use our online booking system every year without issue. “From” pricing is necessary because vehicles of the same model can require different quantities and specifications of oil, filters, parts and manufacturer procedures. Supplying a registration number helps us identify the vehicle, but it does not turn an advertised starting price into a final quotation before those requirements have been checked.
We service vehicles properly to the manufacturer’s specification, using OEM-quality parts, the correct premium oil and the required service procedures, including updating the electronic service record. That level of service carries a cost. A cheaper price elsewhere does not automatically mean the same parts, oil, procedures or standard of work are included.
You chose another garage based on the confirmed price, which is entirely your decision. However, describing our process as misleading is neither accurate nor fair. We were completely transparent, confirmed the price in advance and gave you the opportunity to accept or decline it before your appointment. As you cancelled and never used our workshop, this review relates solely to your dissatisfaction with the price of a service you decided not to purchase, not to our workmanship, customer care or the quality of our servicing.

We feel it is important to clarify the points raised in this review, as we have already spoken with you directly and explained the circumstances.
Firstly, the oil/service life indicator was not reset because your vehicle was not serviced by MB MOTORS during this visit. We cannot reset a service indicator to record or imply that a service has been completed when it has not. Doing so would create an inaccurate vehicle maintenance record and would not be an honest or professional practice. This was explained to you during our telephone conversation.
Regarding the puncture, your vehicle did not have a puncture when it left our premises. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for a puncture caused by a nail, screw, road debris or another external factor after a vehicle has left our care. Nevertheless, when you contacted us about the issue, we offered to inspect and repair the puncture for you.
We will always take responsibility where something is attributable to work we have carried out. However, in this instance, we cannot reasonably accept responsibility for a puncture occurring after the vehicle left our premises, nor would we incorrectly reset a service indicator for a service that was not carried out.
