I like how simple and easy it is to use MemberSpace. I'm familiar with the Squarespace platform and I tend to choose simplicity over complexity. I know almost nothing about web development and I can figure it out, which is saying something. Support is always very fast and very helpful.

My experience with Memberspace has been excellent for a number of reasons. First, the people at Memberspace go out of their way to support our success. Secondly, the tech experience is simple and user friendly. Their clear explanations and support have allowed us to build the business one step at a time and pass on the smooth experience to the teachers and other school leaders that we serve at Credit4teachers.

Great customer service but Memberspace was unable to perform what I needed.
Chelsea was AMAZING. She was responsive (with real options) and asked for clarity before moving forward. It is not her fault that the Memberspace system couldn't do what I needed (transfer paid account status/subscription) but she quickly processed my refund.

Good platform, GREAT service
The platform is easy to use and is really well developed, but the customer support is what gets 5 stars. I build websites and my client had some very specific requests. When something wasn't operating as I needed it to or seemed to be glitching, I reached out to support. In my line of work, it's always a gamble whether you'll get a competent support person or a robot, but in the two times I've contacted the Memberspace support, 1) I've been able to stay connected with the same person both times (shoutout, Jen Sommers!) so they knew my situation and 2) they've given me effective, HONEST feedback. I keep thinking how I can incorporate this into other project I have going because I want to keep working with them. Really awesome platform, even better service.

Best membership tool on the market.
I have a multi-six figure membership, I've been using Memberspace for years. It has more flexibility and customization options than other membership platforms, and their team (including the founders) are very responsive. They truly want to make their product better and better, and they base their improvements on what their users actually need. So glad I found Memberspace!

Expensive transaction fees
Memberspace continues to raise the transaction fee. It's increased from 1% to 4%, to a NOW A 5% TRANSACTION FEE on top of Stripe's fee. Ridiculous. So glad Squarespace Courses came out with a 0% transaction fee plan. I've been looking for alternatives to Memberspace's transaction fees and thank goodess Squarespace Courses listens to member feedback. Every since I've switched to Squarespace Courses, everything has been so much better.
The funniest part is, Memberspace disses substack for having transaction fees by saying this on their website: "Substack often touts the fact that there’s no cost to join. Instead of a monthly subscription fee, users forfeit 10% of every subscriber payment (plus credit card processing fees). This pricing model can undoubtedly make sense for users with small email lists. If you’re planning to grow your subscriber base, though, it becomes expensive — fast. There’s no cap to that 10% fee that Substack takes from each paid subscriber."
...When they do they same thing with their transaction fees. Ha!
So glad Squarespace Courses listens to member feedback and constantly makes updates and improvements for longevity.
I'm excited that more software companies are listening to feedback regarding expensive transaction fees and creating options without them. It's the princple of the matter.
