Returning at your own cost, even if you are at end of your contract you have to arrange a safe packaging and postage with Recorded Delivery or another tracked postage at your own cost with in 21 days or you will be invoiced for full cost of equipment...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They rent pdq machines which can only be properly operated if you use POS but mobody tells you. When you ask to cancel because the machine is not fit for purpose then they tell you to pay the gull agreement of 18 months even if you dont use the machine. No 14 day chance to cancel and if you dont psy you get threatened with legal proceedings.

One star is too much.

Cancelled my terminal with handepay 13/9/24 notice given to merchant rentals by handepay at the same time.

Was told by handepay merchant rentals would send return address by e mail 4 months on still waiting for the return address for their machine and now they are threatening court action for some over due fees they claim we owe them if not paid within 7 days.

Although handepay offered us a free month this was not honoured clearly due to cancelling.

Worse company ever will never use these or handepay again.

Even one star is too much for this company. Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst company i ever had experience…
Worst company i ever had experience with,i had 18 month contract and after termination my contract,i had collection from parcel force then after few month they contacted me abd saying never recieved machine back,i emailed them with my refrences and no one replied me,after few month later i recieved a court judgment letter for something i have no fault with,disgraceful company

This co,s M.O is only to hoodwink small businesses into their binding rental contract and by then taking them to court for a breach of agreement.their methods are like this.firstly i was told by their salesman that any contract wouldnt start until i actually used their payment machine on any customers purchases.then when he delivered me the machine he asked me to sign for a delivery NOT signing any contract!
Now i have a court hearing as they are trying to recoup their contracted 36 months rental payments for an item ive returned unused,and not signed any knowlegeable contract only a handheld pdu scribble for a card payment machine delivery.DO NOT USE this company Merchant Rentals/Handepay!! Based in Haydock St Helens Merseyside! Scammers and complete liars in their business conduct! See their many other very bad reviews.

I wanted to end my contact early. There’s a fee to pay, that’s fine. Can I pay it?? No apparently not as no one seems able to provide me the means of paying it. I’ve even had an email confirming I don’t owe anything when I know I do.

In the meantime I am getting letters from their collections department sent to me regularly 😂😂😂

I called AGAIN to resolve this today and the agent was spectacularly rude. Couldn’t find d me details, didn’t know who I needed to speak to and when I asked them to wait while I got my agreement number they hung up.

It’s actually embarrassing

what a terrible company , i should have read the reviews first before making a contact, i wouldnt even recommend it to anyone. The card machine got stolen and they didnt even provide for a new one they told me i have to pay for it, now i can not even cancel the contract because i have to pay for a cancellation fee which is ridiculous.

Do not go with this company!
I had problems cancelling and was taken to court over Handypay not passing on the 30 day notice as required. Very poor company that are out for all they can get.

Such a headache avoid went through handepay but not deal with handepay
Cancellation is a con u pay in advance soon as live date but still have to pay full month after cancellation

Terrible service after being with them for years. Change of attitude and abysmal service when you want to leave terminate your agreement. They will not respond to your emails to try and squeeze every penny they can out of you. Complete shame as now I know I have made the correct decision to leave and will advise others not deal with them. Word of mouth goes a long way which is a shame because I will never deal with them again after being a customer for approximately 15 years.

Had no phone calls as yet waiting to be compensated 😡

Dreadful at customer service and the only company during the pandemic not to support us …. Took every penny, no help, at all !!! Leave well alone !!! And always threaten legal action!!!! Stay away !

Absolutely shocking company they send in their handepay people to over sell you a service, this guy was in every day for a week ringing me even rang up my old card company pretending to be as I said I had anxiety about doing it. Make it sound like you sign up for 2 years turns out your stuck with merchant rentals for another 2 years. They aren't helpful at all just send you threatening letters and just ignore your request for help.

Started the process of closing my business down in Nov 2022. Sent notifications to suppliers direct debits & standing orders would cease.
23 Suppliers acknowledged the fact, 1 did not. AS soon as rental payment ceased they could spring into action with threats. All they are able to do is quote the agreement signed at the beginning. They hide behind 'data protection'. After three months it is now acknowledged they received a letter but chose not to respond to me.
Whilst my business was in operation all was fine, no problems whatsoever. Reading the comments on ceasing with the terminal I notice it appears a different world.

Awful company, avoid at all cost! Entered an agreement with Handepay, and unknowingly entered an agreement with this lot.
I shut my business down, told Handepay, went through all the procedures to do this, and I am still getting threats from Merchant Rentals to pay charges, they don’t listen, avoid at all costs, and be wary of Handepay signing you up to these people

Worst card machine company EVER! Do not use!

Been an ongoing battle to get my contract cancelled since 2021, which included multiple email confirmation and two tracked (and received) formal letters requesting a cancellation. They have since renewed my contract.

Still in a battle to try and get this cancelled, even though the reader has been boxed and unused for over 2 years (and I've moved property since) and still being given the the run around. Only managed to escalate the situation by cancelling my direct debit, at which point I was contacted by their claims department on a card reader which they know I no longer use.

Worst customer service ever. Their service while I had the card machine in use was fine, but I guess its because I was paying them for it.

AVOID!

Handepay signed us with them and and The Initial rental agreement with them was for 2 years for Merchant Rentals. When I try to terminate the agreement they said no it is for 4 years agreement. they are asking future rentals for 2 years, just troubles

Had to move as the terminal keep losing connections.customer left without paying happened so many times we moved to clover terminals. Never had a problem since. Apart form merchant rentals demanding money . We have been taken to court . But its to far to go we missed the court date ( they play the system). I see there trust pilots reviews are very high with 5 stars these are fake. SO DO NOT USE HANDY PAY as your provider. Or any other card company that uses Merchant rentals. There is no customer service with this company. Just pay or else

Worst company to deal with, faulty equipment , asked to terminate the contract as the card machine wasn’t working and we logged so many complaints , they still couldn’t fix the issues , had to go with another provider , but they refused to terminate the contract knowing well there card machine wasn’t fit to work , they kept pushing for money and kept charging us , had to cancel direct debit , but they logged a court again us !!!
