I found the experience of dealing with merchant rentals very easy and friendly. Pat, the lady I dealt with, was professional, friendly, helpful and very informative, nothing was too much trouble for her.

Stuart Finnie was really helpful, and even got the delivery expressed for me so i would get delivery before Christmas shutdown. Arrived on time and was kept informed at all times throughout the order. Thanks Stuart you are a credit to the company.

Use this dreadful rip off company at your peril ! I recently closed a business and I had signed up for 48 months without really realising because I just needed a machine quickly, this is not my problem as I signed the agreement and I was tied in to pay an early exit of the best part of £600. However it didn’t end there, months after I returned the machine to the address given to me by them and a label for the return to show where it had come from so I posted and I thought that was that. Then months later I get a letter saying they had not received the machine back and I was to pay a further £587 !! Or face legal action ! Unless I could prove I sent it back. They know damn well closing a business is stressful and messy so I had misplaced the receipt. I got my wife to speak with someone as I was so angry because I knew very well I sent it back and I know very well the machine is probably worth no more than £50! She got the fee down to £347 and we paid it begrudgingly. This is such bad service and a complete rip off.

We've used Merchant Rentals for some time now and recently we had a need to order some additional terminals at short notice. Stuart Finnie processed our order quickly and efficiently, with everything being delivered as expected with an excellent lead time. I would recommend their services to other businesses. Another headache alleviated!

I gave my Salon based business up 5 years ago. I was advised to contact Merchant rentals via letter to get out of the contract as it rolls on they would contact me about sending the thermal card machine back to them. Still waiting. 5 years on numerous of Letters, phone calls etc these have still proceeded to take a monthly direct out of my account for £19.19. You do the maths. When I do call their colleagues say there’s nothing on the system. So obviously they have not been communicating with each other or doing their jobs correctly. I have now been paying for a card machine that I have not used for 5 years. I emigrate in little over 2 weeks out of the UK for good so need this sorting I have since sorted legal advice and spoken to the bank about taking this further where advised I should be compensated for what is rightly mine due to the fact yous will see I have never used this terminal in years . I shall take this matter further if need be I never leave bad reviews as I do give companies benefit of the doubt been in business was myself for 15 years. But felt the need this was my only option. I’m hoping by leaving this review we can sort this matter and someone can contact ASAP to sort this matter once and for all before I emigrate and close my UK bank account down.

My review has now changed to 5 stars as since my review I have dealt with a lovey lady Joanne who deal the with my complain quickly and efficiently.

Been using Merchant Rentals for a couple of years now since we changed provider for our PDQ terminal services / card processing. Dealing with Merchant Rentals was very straight forward. We have Pat our own dedicated account manager who is always easy to get hold of if any queries and very good at any troubleshooting and very prompt in her response back. Would recommend.

Stuart dealt with the change in our equipment - quickly and efficiently and I had the new machines within a few days. Excellent service and was available when I rang him to go over any queries
