Completely abandoning the consumers who've been with the brand for decades to chase an imaginary profit.
I purchased a X9 PRO for MAC SSD external drive. I had issues right away and calling their customer service was worthless. 1st they had me format the SSD using EX-FAT instead of APFS. The 2nd employee hung up on me and the 2nd employee said I couldn't talk to anyone in technical support for the issues and had to email them. Every email sent to this company comes back saying "this message is from a blocked sender". The 3rd employee said she would have to refer it and she would get back to me with no estimated timeframe. She said I cannot talk to anyone in technical support. She read to me that the light on the SSD should remain lit and flicker when it is transferring data. Then hours later, she sent an email saying the opposite, that it wouldn't stay lit unless it was transferring data. I took it back to the retailer and I will providing feedback to their executive office as well at the retailer. The 2nd employee said I would have to email them the issues, and he failed to communicate in English well. I said I would send an email to their leadership and he said good and hung up on me. They do not understand English well enough to be supporting an English speaking country and if they have someone willing to hang up on customers, they have a huge problem. I tried to reach out to their CEO and COO and all emails say they are blocking emails. The employee I spoke to this morning said they actually get them but don't respond. Late last night an employee said someone would be calling me at 7am MT. they never called. When I called this morning, I was told "sorry for the inconvenience and the misunderstanding". I was told that they were unable to get anyone to call me, but someone will call at some point to address these small issues. Cutting people off, providing wrong technical information and failing to do what they committed to doing is SMALL? I'm on my way to look at other options with anyone but Micron. Their leadership needs to understand that this is not acceptable. My other drive from a competitor worked out of the box and in 3 years I never had to call them. Why is this such a disaster at Micron?
