Tim came into my life when it was about as dark as it has ever been for me. I can remember my first phone call with Tim like it was yesterday. I celebrated like I did when Beckham scored against Greece!! I felt instantly reassured.
I had a serious dispute with an MOT tester who decided to completely fabricate pretty much the entire chain of events, including a considerable amount of damage to his car - nearly £10,000 worth, which I knew I hadn't caused.

I finally gained back almost £1000 after a year long dispute with a major car dealership (Stoneacre) over multiple issues, thanks to Tim Kelly’s help.

Going into this dispute, I didn’t know anything about expert witnesses and picked Tim Kelly from a list of names Trading Standards provided me with. I had a boost of confidence once I researched his background and realised he is an industry heavyweight. The thoroughness, technical depth, detail, and authority of the report he wrote for my case proved that beyond doubt.

All of the 5 star reviews written about Tim have proven 100% accurate and likewise I am gladly adding another 5 star rating to the list.

There were a few plot twists, and although I didn't get quite as much money back as I would've liked (emphasis on "quite"), Kelly's report made a bigger dent than I could have, if at all, without his backing. Probably wiped out Stoneacre’s net profits on my entire car service too. Upon seeing Kelly’s report, Stoneacre merely “refuted it” according to my case officer, rather than giving any actual defence. It was then that I was certain I was going to win.

I’ve made sure to highlight Tim’s help in my review of the Stoneacre Stafford branch who serviced my car, so that hopefully anyone else in a similar situation with them will see and know who to go to.

I recently had to take legal action in relation to defective works on my Time Attack Race car. Being a very specialist piece of equipment and there being a need to understand datalogging and telematics software on the vehicle, finding an expert witness engineer with the requisite knowledge to cover everything is not easy.

After having my 'Short Term Rejection (Under CRA) refused by a main franchised dealer, and under instruction by the court for a single joint expert; i got in touch with Tim. My research into 5 separate experts showed me that Tim had the background, experience and knowledge to fairly and meticulously investigate my concerns. The fact that the dealers solicitors tried numerous times to avoid Tim being called upon told me all i needed to know! Tim interrogated the car and even included another specialist to support his findings, it really was a belt and braces job. The final report absolutely eviscerated the defence, highlighting where they had given 'factually incorrect' information both to me and (later) in their witness statements; and how their supposed 128 point mechanical and cosmetic inspection was ever competently undertaken as the car had extensive evidence of crash repairs done (to a poor standard). Tim's expertise and eagle eye was absolutely critical to my success; i can't thank him enough and would not hesitate to recommend him in any similar situation.

I was recommended Tim Kelly from Motorclaimguru by a friend after my insurance company attempted to write my car off using an under‑market repair cost and apply proportionality to my claim. This followed a hit‑and‑run incident that unfortunately resulted in an at‑fault claim for myself.

From the very first phone call with my insurer, I began experiencing issues. I was asked questions that had never been raised when my policy was incepted, including staying at my girlfriend’s house a few times a month. This is clearly permitted under the social use section of my policy, as it is not a permanent or fixed address. However, an overzealous member of staff interpreted this as a change of address and attempted to apply proportionality to my claim.

After countless emails and phone calls with both my insurer and broker, I made absolutely no progress. At that point, I began discussions with Tim—and that’s when everything changed.

Tim immediately asked for all relevant information relating to my case, allowing him to fully understand the situation and take control. His communication throughout was exceptionally clear, structured, and professional. He handled all correspondence with the insurer, only forwarding emails when the information was genuinely relevant or required my input, which removed a huge amount of stress.

Using his extensive knowledge and experience, Tim firmly reminded the insurance company of their legal position. As a result, what should have been considered reasonably minor damage did not turn into a total loss. He also successfully challenged and removed the incorrectly applied proportionality after seeing through the “games” being played by the insurer.

After three months of complete stagnation, Tim’s attentiveness and determination finally got the claim moving and ultimately settled. Thanks to him, I’m now on track to get back on the road and return to living a normal life.

I appointed him to help with a rediculous car parking charge. Long story about how I ended up with it.

But the car park owner persued me for £1.50 over a period of 18 months.

Tim knew from the offset they would drop the charge but he also knew it was going to take a long time.

At every step of the way he assured me and course corrected me to take the right next step.

After 18 months, lots of intimidation and bullying from all the companies involved, they wrote to me last night confirming they are closing the case. Court date was set for November at my local court!! What a win that is for us!!!

I would recommend Tim Kelly whenever there is any claim involving motor insurance. He is a poacher turned gamekeeper as he used to work for a number of insurers. He knows their tricks and efforts to delay claims and reduce the outcomes. He is like a terrier with these guys and well worth his fee. In short he never gives up. Tim helped me with the theft of my vehicle. He also knows his way around the Ombudsman service and can help with submissions. Highly recommended.
