Mr Tyre Ltd - Derby (Mansfield Road) Reviews 

I have used these guys for a number of years and previously have had no hesitation in recommending them to others.
Sadly, after today's encounter, I have to re-evaluate that opinion.
Today I was served by a gentleman whom I have not seen before. Previously been served by another man, who was fitting another vehicle today. Today's staff member needs to take some lessons from his colleague!
I had booked my car in for 2x tyres and an oil and filter change. On arrival, no parts had been ordered. I only needed an oil filter ordering, the rest was in stock.
This gentleman wanted me to leave my car for "at least two hours". I hadn't expected such a lengthy wait. When asked why so long, he replied that parts needed to be ordered (the filter) and they liked that amount of time "in case anything breaks and we need to order more parts".
What are you anticipating breaking on an oil change???
This gentleman's response was for me to rebook my car in when I've got a day off and leave it with them.
Throughout this exchange, this gentleman's attitude was appalling and can only be described as 'not giving a ...'
My purpose in leaving this feedback is not to gain anything, but in hope that senior management at Mr Tyre will see this review and offer this staff member some further training.
Luckily, there are plenty of places folk can go for tyres.

I always use Mr Tyre on Alfreton Road in Derby to replace my tyres on my 25 year old VW Golf and they always do an excellent job. The tyres are reasonably priced but the service is first class. The attention to detail and professionalism is great to see. Highly recommended.

Received an early call to confirm delayed delivery of ordered tyre from supplier. Agreed to attend to see if the existing tyre could be repaired after temporary fix by Mini support. Arrived early due to unexpected appointment in town. Great response and delighted they could fit me in. Tyre repaired and saved me a few quid. Great service.

Great service for tyres. I needed a new tyre due to a blowout. Staff inspected the rim and found a damaged rim so gave me good recommendations about where to go to get it fixed, then were very flexible to book me back in for fitting the new tyre. Very helpful, including switching the spare over very quickly and checking the spare for airtight sealing. Good choice of tyres from budget to premium with no hard sell. Easy to book on by phone or online and you can even pre order the tyres you want in advance to save time. Nice waiting room with good selection of quality motorsport magazines. Would recommend
