Fuyez ce vendeur. J'ai commandé et payé deux filtres Rollei fin janvier et n'ai toujours rien reçu. Après de multiples mails de relance, j'ai demandé un remboursement de la commande. Et bien sûr aucune nouvelle. Ce site est une pure arnaque

I thought I'd give MW Classic Cameras the benefit of the doubt after reading the reviews, but MW Classic Cameras is just as awful as everyone says it is.

To be fair to David, he did answer the phone most of the 10-12 times I called, but always with the same tired excuse of it being on his to-do list, and he's just moved office and blah blah blah.

Buyer beware- you'll give up eventually and be calling your bank to dispute the transaction.

Despite the negative opinions, I decided to order books from this seller, but luckily, I chose the option of payment on delivery. There was no confirmation of purchase, the phone number did not answer, and there was no email contact. I highly don't recommend it!

First dealing I had with them was a decade ago, when I picked up a Linhof Technika III in very good condition (no
complaints about it there). I later obtained an International Back and a few accessories for it from various sources and
was quite happy with the camera.

A couple of years later I bought another item from them, but nothing arrived in the post and they didn't respond to emails or phone calls, so eventually flexed my card company and got a refund.

Another two years went by and I saw an very clean Mamiya 645 55-110 zoom at a decent price, so bought it, and the same happened. Had to invoke my card company again for a refund.

I can understand the trials and tribulations of a small company running around trying to keep track of stock and hoping they've still got the items that are still up for sale, but if they'd even said to me "Sorry, we sold that last week", that would have been fine.

I might roll the dice again, as I certainly don't believe they're scammers, just disorganised.

Turpin at least wore a mask. This company will take your money for online orders and send you nothing - rogue traders masquerading as an authentic business. My experience is similar to so many others: order placed, no confirmation email, no goods delivered, no correspondence from them, no reply to a refund request. Phone calls go straight to voicemail. If you are thinking of ordering from this dishonest vendor, DON'T. If you have had your trousers pulled down already, go through your bank or credit card company to arrange charge back of your money AND raise a complaint against these cowboys through Citizens Advice that will go to Trading Standards. This bunch of scammers should not be in business.

Placed an order online, no confirmation email, nothing received. Both website phone numbers not answered, no response to email query regarding outstanding order.
Ater reading the reviews of other customers who have paid for goods not delivered, avoid like the plague.

Bought online, a month later and after four phone calls he ‘refunded’ my payment but no money has been returned. Scammer.

Like all the other reviewers, I 'bought' a lens on the website, had no receipt or email back. So waited a few weeks and after no delivery and no response to two emails, called up the guy twice, and each time he gave me the run around:'sure, oh year, I'll post it now'. Never arrived. Claimed money back through bank successfully. Wish I'd read the reviews first. Gets the 2 stars for a nice looking website, which unfortunately lures you into the scam.

Terrible service - items did not arrive and no response to message on their website, WhatsApp or via EBay. Do not order from them

What a pointless company.
Never had any response from them.

I ordered camera equipment over a year ago, and it still has not arrived.
My emails requesting a tracking number or a refund have all been ignored. They were quick to take the payment though.
I look forward to explaining my displeasure in person the next time I am near the area.

If I could give 0 I would. Order placed on 18 Dec, and a month later still showing "processing". Zero indication of when or if it may be dispatched. Emails and voice messages just ignored. Cannot recommend sadly.

Order placed on1st Dec 2024, no response from them despite numerous emails and failed phone calls. Will go through the motions to get a refund via my card company. An absolutely useless company, DO NOT buy from them.

As a previous, highly satisfied customer of MW, since before Mo left, I cant relate to negativity I see.
Granted i always called in person, but had great deals and consider them both to be inherently honest straightforward people.
It was always "untidy" but a great source for unusual items.
I moved back to Scotland some time ago, so maybe things have changed.
If so, I can only put it down to being disorganized, and not any form of dishonesty.
Not much comfort to people who feel aggrieved, but can only speak of my, totally happy transactions.

What is the point of this guy having a web site if he does not deliver orders, really quite useless, probably fraudulent, or is he just lazy, three orders made weeks ago and nothing arrived so off to credit card fraud to recover money, should have his credit card ability revoked so he cannot take money under false pretenses.
Web site says they provide good service, to who? After reading the reviews almost every review is diabolical…
If Trustpilot had the option I would give them -10, zero is too good..

Update got the three orders refunded by credit card fraud people, this guy has no intention of delivering the goods, pity as he was so cheap and scarce equipment, still not sure if the web page is a scam ?would have preferred to have the order filled but he’s not interested, complete scammers and waste of time.please don’t order from here, if you do use a credit card so you can recover the money when he doesn’t send the kit.

Also the gear is still listed on website, what’s that about ????

3 months later and the gear he has not got is STILL listed on his website....obviously a con artist trying to extort money from people.

I would like to know why trustpilot does not have a zero in their review scores, this guy is giving bad companies a bad name.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Like so many others here, my experience with MWC has been abysmal. On Nov 10th I ordered two vintage lenses at a total cost of nearly £340. I'd created a profile on the website and it all looked very professional and well-stocked, with fair prices. Payment was taken right away. Then nothing. No answers to multiple emails, no answer to the land line. I ended up ringing the number listed for WhatsApp messages and it was answered by a flustered man (presumably David Woodford) who said to ring back in half an hour as he was on his way to his office. I rang back - no answer. Rang again: "Oh, I answered by mistake" (WTF?!) Fluster, fluster, "Oh yes, this is on my to-do list for today." Nothing. More emails - nothing. So I eventually got refunded via my bank. Hilariously, the status of my order on the website still says "Processing"! This guy should be shut down. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible, avoid this outfit. MW Cameras have given me nothing but excuses for the lack of delivery. My camera still hasn't arrived after over 2 weeks and at least 5 calls from me. Each time some hapless guy says, 'oh I'll check'......do not buy your cameras here!!!!

Received my Nikon camera case today. Condition is even better than description. I bought this from the shop website, delivery was prompt

Ordered several cameras on the web site.
After a couple days the order was set to ‘completed’. No goods, no tracking number, no response to enquiries. Had to get my money back via Visa. He can no longer accept paypal on the website, that is telling...
