No item or refund, avoid
Item ordered 7 December 2025, not yet received and no replies to emails or phone call. Unfortunately I paid from my debit card so have probably lost my money. Will chase it up but advise not to use this shop.
Mw classic cameras - avoid at all costs
Mw classic cameras have a great website with some great items on it. However it appears that they have no intention of fulfilling orders. I had to chase multiple times and was provided with misleading information on multiple occasions. I have reported them to trading standards and I advise people not to use this company. I still await my refund from an order placed on 12/11/25.
Avoid this Dodgy Outfit
About the worst experience I have had shopping online. Order and payment taken but lens purchased was never sent. No response to multiple emal communications and telephone messages until I demanded a refund and indicated I would contact trading standards. Then David Woodford responded almost immediately promising to sort everything out the next day. He then did absolutely nothing. Managed to retrieve the money by raising a dispute with my credit card company but what a waste of time. I would advise you give this dodgy gentleman a miss and I urge the many who have had a similar experience to raise the issue with trading standards. It is extraordinary that a business can be allowed to continue operating when it consistently takes payment for orders with no intention of supplying anything. Ultimately this is just a form of theft.
Took payment, no lens after 3 weeks.
TLDR: Think very carefully before giving MW Classic Cameras your business - no matter how tempting the price.
I stupidly decided to give MW another go (after a less than stellar experience in about 2019), because they had a lens I wanted for a very good price.
I paid £160 for a 50mm Leitz Elmar screwmount lens, but the first inkling of trouble was that no confirmation email was received (I had 'screenshot' the browser confirmation message, just in case).
After there was no sign of the lens a week later, I phoned MW, to be told that the owner had been away on holiday, and was catching up with workload - my lens would be dispatched the next day. I then phoned two more times over the next couple of weeks, each time being promised that it would be dispatched immediately. I finally got fed up, and phoned today to request a full refund. I was told that the refund was being initiated as we spoke - but obviously I have no way of verifying that.
UPDATE 3/10/2025: I eventually received my refund in full, but it took a couple of days to arrive in my bank account - I don't know whether the delay was due to MW, or the way the banks handled the refund.
As others have said, I don't think that there's any deliberate intent to defraud, but they're just spectacularly badly run. I've lost nothing financially, but it was a very frustrating experience altogether.

I ordered and paid for the goods last June, to this day I have nothing, neither the goods nor the money, he only promises and he is a fuc... thief. I sent him emails with proof of payment for the goods, still only promises.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I paid for a Pentax LX prism finder and heard precisely nothing, with no responses to emails. A month later, I am pursuing through my bank. I will avoid this outfit like the plague in future. Based on my experience, I would not recommend.
No item, No Refund
Same issues as everyone else. Been scammed out of £169. Should have checked TrustPilot before purchasing. Item never arrived. Contacted MW Classics via the WhatsApp number. He actually answers the phone MW Classics! He informed me that he had not located my item on the shelves yet. Phoned a week later & he still hadn’t located it. On my next phone call to him I was informed it couldn’t be found and that he had already processed a refund. Needless to say the refund has never arrived. I have now taken it up with my credit card company who are investigating. I don’t understand how his website is still allowed to be active & that this is still able to happen given the number of issues.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Paid £57 for a lens and delivery. Received an auto acknowledgement and then nothing. I emailed twice - no answer. Spoke to the man on the mobile phone (landline never answered) and always got a "Sorry - not found it yet." After four weeks I spoke on the phone again and gave him til the end of the week to refund or send proof of posting. He agreed and 7 days later - nothing. Ended up reporting to my bank who have reimbursed me whilst they investigate. DO NOT USE!

Like many other people I paid for items that were never delivered. Luckily in my case they were reasonably cheap accessories. Do not buy anything from this store

Ordered an item. A couple of weeks go by, not item, no contact from the company. Emails not replied to, telephone calls unanswered.
Just started a chargeback through the bank. I'll also be contacting trading standards / Action Fraud to report them.
A con artist?
I ordered 4 items and when nothing appeared and I could not get a response from his shop I managed to get a refund through visa. A few days ago two of the items were still being advertised and I think he sells items that don't exist and hopes that the buyer (you and me) will give up on £20 or similar and he keeps the money. By all accounts he's a con artist probably trading within a whisker of the law and suggest his shop / site is avoided.

Hopeless
After waiting three months for the camera to arrive I have inevitably resorted to trying to get my money back through my bank. Unfortunately I paid by debit card not credit, so there is a disputed transaction procedure which might or might not work.
David seemed perfectly reasonable on the phone but after a while he just stopped answering my calls and has never responded to emails.
I’m reluctant to say this is a scam, maybe it’s just an incredibly badly managed business, but after three months of waiting and poor communication I’ve given up. I won’t buy from the website again.
