Next Level Homeschool offers excellent, rigorous coursework in an interesting manner. The assignments promote critical thinking above wrote memorization, which gives both a deeper understanding and builds skills that have served me well. The courses I took at Next Level also prepared me well for college and AP/CLEP tests.

My daughter loved this course. The material was engaging, informative and well-presented. She was always excited to get to work and to tell us what she'd learned. We'd definitely do another course with Next Level.

My 14yo loved it! After pulling him out of a different program that was a painful grind, we tried a one-time class with Next Level to see if it would be a better fit. Watching him giggle through slides and diligently answer questions, then do extra reading at a link provided, I was thrilled & relieved. I didn't want his joy of learning to fizzle out because of high school graduation requirements and classes I couldn't sufficiently teach at home. Now he's really looking forward to his year-long Earth Science class!

Awesome class. You can tell all the time and effort that the teacher puts into these classes. She truly wants the students to learn.

This high school biology class exceeded our expectations. Mary made learning enjoyable and accessible while maintaining high academic standards. My son, a homeschooled 8th grader, recently completed the Physical Sciences course with Mary Middlebrook. This is our eighth year homeschooling and our eighth year taking Next Level Homeschool courses. Mary always provides comprehensive, fun and challenging courses! I also like that the student's assignment level and assignment options are offered to best fit the the student.

My son thoroughly enjoyed the Marine Biology/Zoology class! I really appreciate that we were able to try the class format out prior to committing to the first session of this class. The lessons are engaging and entertaining and the mix of visuals and Mary speaking with videos kept my son interested! She has the perfect amount of humor and I would often hear my son laughing and sharing the videos with his sister.
I had concerns around the class being challenging enough for him and it was a perfect fit! He loved being able to choose from a few different projects for each lessons. He is an eighth grader this year and he was able to do this class almost completely independently. He also learned important skills around time management, emailing a teacher, file management and organization. Just a bonus to everything else he learned from this class! We are already planning what classes our kids will be taking next year.

My 10-year-old studied Marine Zoology this year and is very sad the class has finished. She loved the lectures, projects, and assignments, and learned so much about the interconnections between what humans do and what happens to marine life. Excellent course and excellent teacher. This was my child’s absolute favorite class this year!

My son loved that he was able to learn new things from Mary's classes, not just the same info he's learned before from books/documentaries/homeschool curriculum. Mary goes in-depth and presents information in engaging ways, and the assignments have been great for adding a hands-on element to the class. As a parent, I loved that my child was able to learn so much more than what I could have compiled and taught him on my own.

My 4th grader took the Marine Biology class series and absolutely loved it! The class itself was very well put together and thorough. My child enjoyed the mix of slides and related videos, as well as getting to choose which project they wanted to do for each lesson. We were very happy with the class and will be signing up both of our children for the Earth Science series in the fall 🌎.

My son has just finished two semesters of High School Chemistry. It was a fascinating, rigorous, mind-expanding course! Much deeper than my Gen X high school chemistry. Highly recommend it!

Thank you Ms. Mary for building the foundational knowledge of marine science for my daughter Addison. Marine Zoology was her first official homeschool science class when we started homeschooling in 2019. Addie loved every minute of the course work even though most days, it was the only subject she could focus on due to the extensive content. The weekly projects truly challenged her and at times, her parents. I love that you allowed the students to present their projects in the modality that best suited them. The family was there to listen to her presentations and give feedback before she submitted them. She started Next Level Homeschool classes with a love for the big marine animals and by the fourth or fifth class, she was in love with marine invertebrates, specifically cephalopods. To this day, "phylum cnidaria" and "brackish water" roll off my tongue as if I were a marine science student. Thank you for affirming her and challenging her in your feedback. Thank you for being mindful that she was a young Black girl excited about marine biology. You eagerly shared information with us about Black shark scientist Carlee Jackson on Disney and the new Black in Marine Science Week that was happening in November 2020. She has since then spent a week with Carlee Jackson at a Minorities in Shark Science camp and she was the first youth member of Black in Marine Science. She continues to share her love for marine science with the young students in the surrounding community and she actively participates in Black in Marine Science activities. As Addison continues to grow and learn in the field of marine science, we remain grateful for the foundation she built with Ms. Mary and Next Level Homeschool. We highly recommend her classes.

My daughter took the class Chemistry the Whys Behind the Wows with Next Level Homeschool and my daughter absolutely thrived with this experience. Her teacher Mary Middlebrook was engaging and very thorough choosing excellent experiments to teach the points of chemistry in this class. This was an excellent online teaching course and it gives multiple levels of difficulty based on your child. It's perfect for families that want to have a full online or partial online education for their homeschooled child or in a hybrid situation which is what we had. Extremely happy with this online school and will be using again! Thank you so much Mary and Next Level Homeschool!

Both my children were enrolled in the Level 2 of the Etymology of Harry Potter class. Even though they have some Latin, they really enjoyed learning from the class lectures, and they both enjoyed writing the assignments (this says a lot, since one of my kiddos is a reluctant writer). The materials were well organized and the quizzes and guidelines for assignments clear. Even through an end-of-term change in LMS, Miss Hincapie was quick to respond, clear with instructions, and unflustered by the inevitable flurry of emails she must have received. I highly recommend this class for all Potterheads!

The details of the lessons and the depth of information that was provided was beyond our expectations. The teacher was responsive, in a timely manner, for questions and provided clarity when needed.

NLH is our go to for virtual education. Gave our children the structure for what is to come in the future.

It is a teacher who loves her subject and that is clear through her thoroughness on the topics. There was way more in a high school course here than I ever learned in school. The assignments having options help students to connect more and think comprehensively on each week's topic.

My student took Biology Series 2 Level 2. I watch along with my student as he does the lessons. We enjoyed the slides and videos that are included, though many slides include unnecessary rants about pet peeves and cheesy quips that take away from the main topic. I do wish that the parent could have access to the course so we could watch the vidoes or get an idea of what the upcoming assignments will entail on our own time. We learned about cells, genetics, and evolution. The evolution was especially interesting to me, as I have never had much schooling in it. The due dates are very strict, which causes us anxiety and frankly makes my student prone to rushing through the assignment when I know he would love to take his time on it and thereby letting the lesson sink in and learning more. My student did have several assignments which were selected to be promoted on the Next Level socials, which made him proud. But even with that, he still had points taken off for late submissions. I wish that this class was truely more of an "on your own time/schedule" kind of class instead of the strict schedule it follows. One of the perks of being a homeschooler is that we can take vacations when others are in school, but we got so far behind in this class when we took a vacation. The class is quite expensive and we most likely will not take additonal classes in the future.
