We have loved Next Level Homeschool! My son has been a student of Mary's now for about a year and a half and he begged me to sign him up for classes through the summer and into the following school year. He loves the way her classes are paced and we love that she seems to really get to know the students understanding of the subject through the assignments. We have tried a lot of other online homeschooling classes and this has been our family's favorite.

I loved that the work each week was easy to follow, and the slides were always interesting, and the pictures were awesome. I also liked that there was a variety of assignments to choose from, and you could use your creativity in how you completed them. The instructor Ms. Middlebrook kept it interesting, fun, and I learned a lot. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone needing Marine Biology.

My son recently finished his final portion of the Marine Biology and Marine Zoology courses, and he started bawling at the end of the final lesson because he didn't want it to be over! He has LOVED every class he has taken with Next Level Homeschool. As a mom, I appreciate the opportunity for him to develop skills for taking quizzes, for critical thinking via the assignments, and having the structured learning these courses offer - but with the flexibility to choose assignments that work best for his learning style. He has learned so much through these courses.

My 12yo daughter loved the Marine Zoology course! I was worried about it being asynchronous, but the lectures were so great that her 8yo brother often enjoyed watching them with her! Mary makes college-level content accessible to younger students. This course even impressed my highly critical, scientist husband - a first for any homeschool science curriculum we’ve tried! We also loved the project-based format which was engaging and perfect for my creative 2e (gifted & adhd) kiddo!

My daughter loved her experience in Marine Biology with NLH. She had learned so much information. The lessons were challenging and enjoyable.

This teacher is amazing. She made learning Biology bite-sized and easy to digest. It was challenging to keep up with the work at times, but it was very rewarding and I learned so much.

This class was amazing the labs were awesome, the lessons were informative, and the assignments were fun. I think that this class was amazing and that you should definitely take this class.

The teacher made the content fun. The gifs were a bit distracting for me, but the descriptions of the content were helpful and interesting. I enjoyed the fact that there was audio of her reading the slides so you didn't have to read up to 75 slides straight.

My 13 y.o. daughter learned a ton in Physical Science : Chemistry. The class was hard for her, and quite a bit of work, which required her to stretch a bit, but it was a good challenge for her to stretch her wings a bit, and she did great! Class was a good length and pacing for our needs, and Mary was a very good teacher!

I love Next Level Homeseschool! It's been such agreat experience for me and my teacher Mary Middlebrook made me love Marine Biology!

Daughter has taken multiple courses with Next Level. We appreciate the high quality science content, the flexible schedule and the creative options for activities. There is always clear communication and the set up is easy for student to do it independently.

We found NLH after looking at multiple science resources online and I went with them after seeing they had a Marine Biologist teaching the marine biology classes, since that's my daughter's passion right now. It's been a wonderful experience and has really increased her knowledge, passion, and independence. I plan on continuing to use them for other classes as well because it's been such a positive experience.

The classes are not only engaging and fun, they are also very educational and has added value into my homeschooling journey. Everything is presented clear and easily understood.

The class was well designed, and the subject matter was covered very well. My student enjoyed the videos and projects. It was a very fun, but informative class. The deadlines and grading helped my student to practice time management and work ethic.

Marine Biology

Thank you Mary for your wonderful Marine Biology course! Our daughter has never really been engaged by science in the past. You have instilled a deep interest in nature and the oceans in her and, more importantly, you have shown her that science is worth studying. It can even be fun!

My daughter took the Earth Science class (24 weeks), learned so much and loved it! Mary Middlebrook was the instructor and she makes learning interesting, fun and challenging. I also appreciate Mary's responsiveness, organization, and the assignment options provided in each lesson.

My 12 year old daughter took the Edgar Allen Poe class and Marine Biology. Both classes were amazing. The classes are fun and engaging. The teachers feedback was thoughtful and encouraging.
She really enjoyed them both. I even had to buy the complete works of Poe for her after she completed the class. I know some people hesitate because of the cost, but the classes are well worth the investment. My older children have also taken classes with Mary and Dylan. We have been pleased with the content and instruction for all of them.

We took Marine Biology this year and have taken Biology and Oceanography in the past. All the science classes have been fantastic. The material is rigorous without being boring, there are a variety of assignment types to choose from, and Mary is always quick to respond to questions. We're already signed up for two more of her classes, Vertebrate Zoology and Chemistry, for next year.
