Deceitful, dishonest and callous company
Deceitful, dishonest and callous company. Was declined for a personal loan for moving expenses as they claimed they would not cover a rental bond. Nowhere on their website or during the application process did they claim this. They had multiple opportunities to discuss this during the application process but failed to do so. Am attempting to move location due to moving my dying wife closer to medical facilities. When I informed Now Finance of this after the application process, they claimed I "changed my story". No "I'm sorry to hear that" from Now Finance, which is the normal thing to say when hearing someone share this kind of information, just an insinuation that I had lied. I didn't know your application form has a field to explain the detailed circumstances of why you need a loan. What a callous way to treat a potential client. I have the audio recording of this call from Now Finance themselves to prove this. I'll be sure to give Now Finance a shout out at my wifes funeral, which is undoubtedly sooner due to Now Finance preventing my wife from getting the medical treatment she requires.

NOW Finance applies strict adherence to our credit policy and the responsible lending guidelines of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (NCCP Act) when conducting an application assessment. NOW Finance do not intend to mislead customers and aim to be clear and transparent in our processes.
I can see you received your interest rate, accepted all declarations then submitted your application for assessment. The approved loan purpose is clearly noted on the website for customers to choose from. Our primary obligation is to ensure the consumer can meet the obligations of the contract without any undue hardship.
During the assessment, the application works through several areas and can be declined at any stage if the application fails to meet with our policy. All advertising and marketing are designed as per ASIC regulatory guideline RG 234 and approved by our legal team in every instance.
