Excellent product excellent service
Went on line looking for Oak corner TV Unit never heard of Oakea before but found just what I wanted and I could pay on delivery. Which is good as you never know these days! Got a phone call few days later saying arrival date it arrived on time paid by card at the door. The Unit is perfect, looks good goes with my other oak furniture. Will certainly buy from Oakea again. Utah extended table and Cambridge Chairs
I'm extremely happy with the quality of the table and chairs. Communications were excellent as was the delivery. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is that I found the unpacking of the leaves within the table rather difficult - and I'm DIY savvy.

Well made cupboards
We ordered 2 cupboards from Oakea hoping that they would be fine and relying a bit, I suppose, from other peoples reviews and also the fact that if we were not satisfied we could send them back. We need not have worried as to start with we were kept informed when these would be delivered and the time in a 2 hr slot. The delivery man was very pleasant and despite being on his own did not want any help getting the heavy cupboards into place. It was a very good experience. It took quite a while to unpack each of them as they were so well protected and wrapped and are now all filled and looking lovely in our dining room and certainly well worth the money. Thank you so much.

Rang to order my furniture was told it would take 2 weeks for delivery , not a problem then 1 hour later got a call to say that they could deliver within 2 days. Very pleased with what I purchased exactly as was shown on line. Would use them again.

Snail delivery - Lost confidence with the company so cancelled.
I cancelled at the 13 day point when I had not received either a phone call to arrange delivery or an explanation of when it was likely to turn up.
I was also told that the delay in my delivery was down to "logistics" when I cancelled. I don't live the back of beyond - I'm 30 miles from London. I had a very large email stating why they did not deliver. It's a pity they did not use a courier!
In the end I ordered my furniture from a rival company. Ordered late in the evening and it turned up the next day. Plus it was £20.00 cheaper. Many of these companies seem to be using the same generic photos and very, very similar descriptions. (Exactly the same measurements)
I had a good result elsewhere. I felt nothing but frustration with OAKEA.

Thank you for leaving this feedback.
We are really sorry that you were disappointed and decided to cancel by email received at 10PM on the 21st November, and that we couldn't be of help on this occasion. Your full refund was processed in the morning of the 22nd November and I trust you received it within a few days.
We completely understand your disappointment, that delivery of the bookcase would have gone a few days beyond the 2 weeks we quote. We do, however feel that you were kept informed through telephone conversations and through email correspondence relating to your delivery instructions.
As was indicated to you in the email of the 22nd November, which you refer to in your review, we are actually delivering to your area today, which is less than 3 weeks (admittedly a little too long) from your order being received by us, and the bookcase would have been on this delivery run, had you not cancelled. On Saturday the 26th November you would have received a phone call to arrange delivery for today. We call customers the same moment we know which day and which time of the day we will be there. Calling sooner would most likely mean change of plans, as more orders are added to the delivery run, as they are received.
Nevertheless, going beyond the usual two weeks in your case is highly regrettable, and we do apologise.
To your comments about using a courier, which is a good point, we could engage third party couriers which in many cases could potentially speed up the deliveries. However, as we are distributing furniture, we avoid couriers whenever possible, and deliver with our own vehicles and drivers. That way we avoid transport damages which are virtually non existent for us. Furthermore, we are in total control of the delivery experience, and things like communication, care, timing, courteousness, advice etc. In addition, a delivery of the bookcase you ordered at £147 + £20 for delivery would cost £50-60 to send with a suitable courier - and still risk transport damages.
Regarding 'logistics' - although you live in the London area, please bear in mind that we do need to consolidate the stock for dispatch from our Hereford Warehouse, which is some 3-4 hours from you.
I am glad that, in the end, you found an alternative solution and that you finally had your bookcase with no further frustration. Someone living in Hereford, ordering from the stock we hold in this warehouse, would also usually be offered delivery on the same day, or the day after.
To other customers reading this review, we would urge you to let us know if you have a special urgency, and if you need the ordered furniture before a certain date. As you can imagine, we get all sorts of requests for delivery times - such as 'not needed for 6 weeks' or 'must be before X Date', or 'Don't deliver on Mondays' to mention a few. If you have any such requests we will usually honor it, and if we can't we will let you know immediately.
Once again we are sorry for the frustration caused and if there is anything else we can do for you, please call again.

Excellent quality,excellent price.
Had a few reservations about ordering without seeing the furniture first but needn't have worried. We received a phone call to arrange delivery as promised and a further call from the driver on the day. We are delighted with our corner unit and the service from Oakea and have just placed a second order.

Exceptional
The furniture I ordered was delivered on time and the driver phoned me to let me know when he'd be arriving. He was very efficient and polite. He handled the boxes carefully and placed them where I needed them.
This was the first time in my 66 years that I've been able to afford good furniture and I am not disappointed. It is truly wonderful and I love it. Well done to all at Oakea - keep up the good work

The furniture is excellent, delivery was good. The website says minimal self assembly required for the wardrobe. This is misleading. It comes flat packed and you have to bolt it all together.
