I don’t understand how this company can still be running, they try and give you charges even after you’ve returned the van. Think they can bully you in to paying them not surprised at all these bad reviews. They also don’t answer the phone and say everything has to be done over email where they take days to reply. Stay away

If you hire the van from them they always trying too fine a reason to make more money on you, any small scratch they will ask you to pay at least 10x as a normal , so just try to fix it on your own at your preferred garage, and when you pay the weekly rent do not let them book for the service while the van is under your payment because they will make it sure the van too stay in the garage one day before your next weekly payment so you have to make the payments for upcoming week or they will ask you to return the van , also it’s the same if you pay today and tomorrow something happens with the van engine issue or any mechanical issues that it’s not your fault they will take the van too the garage and when you collect the van you need to pay the van straight away, they don’t let you use that lost day or no credit on your account that’s really not legal way.

They will never return your £500 deposit and will rob you blind with extra charges go to a decent dealer

The one star reviews on here are correct. Birmingham Driver Agent and One Stop Van Hire should be avoided at all costs.My son has lost a lot of money and exhausted himself trying to make a decent living from delivery work. Promises of good weekly earnings come to nothing and when you leave they chase you for extra money you don’t owe.

Worked for this company back in 2024 and from reading these reviews thy haven’t changed how they work..Disgusting fraudulent company , charging excessive fees of 200 pounds a week out of weekly wages. When I quit and gave the van back they tried to state I had to pay the reminder of the van “lease” which supposedly amounted to just over £7000. They tried to hand this supposed debt to a collection agency. I lawyered up and th legal aid provided stated to this company they were acting illegally and fraudulently and I never heard from them again after we threatened lawsuit. Please do not let this company bully you into paying anything you don’t want to pay, and please seek legal advise. The bank on you believing you’ve done something wrong and will scam you out of as much money as they can! Shocked to see they are still operating !! This combined with unsafe working conditions , overworked and exhausted drivers , one of which almost lost his life after crashing his van from falling asleep behind the wheel. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY !!!!

Absolute scam of a company had the van for two months decided enough was enough told them I’ll be returning it before the hire renewal ends for me it would have ended on the 7th of December 2025. They told me to drop it off over email on the 6th December before 12pm so I’ve gone ahead and done that because whenever you try do an off hire on their site it doesn’t work when you try press save. Emailed them numerous times to tell them and confirm with them that I was returning the van and have returned the van and they have started another term for another month of hire even though they have the van with them. Every driver I’ve talked to has said these guys are the worst going, they don’t answer the phone and if it rings it goes to voicemail you can’t even leave a voicemail because they inbox is full and so the only way you can contact them is through email and right now they’re supposed to be giving me my £500 deposit back I’m on their case for it but judging from other reviews and other drivers doesn’t look like I’ll be getting that back. Avoid this place at all costs they’re a bunch of con artists.

Leased van for amazon delivery driving. Within 2 weeks the van developed faults and was off road for two weeks. Not fit for purpose. I lost nearly two thousand pounds in earnings for those two weeks and they still wanted me to pay the rental.

No courtesy van was offered for the period the van was off road.

After a lengthy period of arguing One Stop charged for one week the van was off road. Still not good enough.

I ended my agreement and took the van back only to be presented with a bill for £768 after a month had passed stating that the rental agreement was monthly. Even though I was paying weekly. Make sense to you?

I have kept records of all communication with this company and will be taking legal action if they continue to pursue this issue.

This company should not be allowed to operate. Their customer service is non existent. I would truly urge anyone to avoid at all costs. You will have nothing but problems with these guys. Truly unprofessional and lacking in integrity.

Avoid. There are so many other good rental companies out there that will serve you so much better.

I would give these lot 0 star if u could flipping using Pakistani call centre agents who don’t even understand English and on top of that scamming the life out of me twice first asking for £457 for a minor damage and then I got another van like an idiot off them and they are asking for another 450 when I said from day 1 I don’t want that van and it has issues

Guys please respond to be ASAP. I have to pay £930 after using the van for one day and returning it the next day without knowing that there was a rental period agreement through the contract as my english is not good do i still have to pay it because they are saying that they will put an extra £250 on top and get court involved as well as contacting 3rd debt recoveries. This is from 1 stop van hire!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I worked at Amazon DB12, I had to pay £275 A WEEK for the van. I sent it back after just 3 weeks, then I (literally just this second) got a parking ticket saying I was driving the van a MONTH after I gave it back, and I also now owe them £275 for an extra week and £50 for 'cleaning' the van. DISGUSTING COMOPANY

SCAM! Absolute scum. DO NOT HIRE A VAN THROUGH THESE GUYS!!! They are also in cahoots with the scum bags at UKED/Driver Agent . Avoid both like the plague!!!! They will charge you £276 PER WEEK! They took my van back because I was 3 days late on the rent and would not negotiate a better payment date. Now they are trying to squeeze an extra £500 out of me having handed it back which is not going to happen as I have had to claim Universal Credit UTTER SCUM! Both companies are very badly managed and only after your money.

Please avoid it’s literally a scam company which is scrapping their customers pockets….l worked for amazon in Birmingham and the van got a few stratches on the side back door now im charged £2026 to only fix that which is riddiculous…I havent made that much money while i was using the van …so my advice to yall stay awayyyyyyyyyyy

Please stay away!!!! You’ll make the worst mistake of your life taking one of these vans. They harass you for money at every opportunity charging extra for anything they can and when you return the van they’ll leave you with a huge bill and threaten with legal action if you don’t pay. This was my worst mistake ever taking this van and many other people I know please stay away!!!

I paid £288 to One Stop Van Hire Ltd (also trading as 1 Stop Van) for a weekly van rental from 7–13 April 2025. However, I did not receive any vehicle during that time.

My original van (DL73SXP) was returned to service on 4 April due to a mechanical fault that was not my fault. I immediately informed the company and asked for a replacement van. They responded once, saying a replacement would be arranged. I confirmed I was happy to accept it — and then they stopped replying completely.

Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I received no vehicle, no refund, no credit, and no proper communication. I have now submitted a formal complaint through Citizens Advice and will escalate further if necessary.

This is a completely unprofessional and unacceptable service. I would strongly caution anyone who relies on a van for work to avoid this company.

Please avoid using this criminal company.Onestop vanhire work in association with Romanian amazon sub contractors and are a unscrupulous, lying outfit that scam you for money. The vans are of poor quality and upon return of the vans they make up false claims of damage or unpaid hire costs to try and get money from their customers. They are unprofessional and underhand in their tactics and are only about taking there customers for extra money which is not owed. Please avoid at all costs !!

I would give them 0 stars if possible absolute rip off, their business partner UKE Multidrop also known as Driver agent UK lost the Amazon contract for Swindon and gave me just over 7 days notice that I would be out of a job unless I switched it Newport or Birmingham amazon depot which I could not as they were too far away. I could only give one stop the same notice I was given and paid up for the time I used their van until 27/28 Jan 2025. They still tried to charge me for February saying I owe them 28 days notice and now referred matter to debt collector seeking £931.75 plus debt collectors fee even though I am unemployed now on UC. I am seeking legal remedies to resolve matter. No help from Driver Agent uk or amazon in fact 3 main guys at Driver Agent UK Ethan, Gary and Costel not answering or returning my calls and messages for nearly 2 months. I asked one stop for full break down of how they calculated £931.75 no answer received except a generic one. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
