My partner recently attended the OriGym Practical Assessment at the Bristol training centre, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. He was failed on the very first exercise, and the assessor refused to even continue with the rest of the session.
Because this is a repeatable exam, it is common sense that the assessor should run through the entire assessment. This would allow the student to receive complete feedback on all components, ensuring they know exactly what to fix for their retake. Stopping the exam after just 3 minutes is completely useless.
The assessment slots take months to book, and we had to travel specifically for this day. To fail someone 3 minutes into an hour-long slot and send them away with zero comprehensive feedback is insulting and a massive waste of time and travel expenses.
It honestly feels like once OriGym has your money for the course, they completely stop caring about your progression or student experience. The Bristol centre needs to review how their trainers treat paying students.

Passing my Level 2 with OriGym
Today I passed my Level 2 Fitness Instructor assessment with Origym, and a big part of this was thanks to Morgan. She couldn’t have done more for me today, from greeting to good bye she was fantastic, hilarious and put all of my worries and anxiety to rest. I am incredibly thankful for her support. My student parter was also great. The three of us had lots of laughs. We both passed and the whole day’s experience was great. I hope my Level 3 experience is just as amazing.
