I used their service for 13yrs. My divorce decree expired and they automatically charged me for another year. I missed the cancellation by a day and tried to get a refund. I figured after 13yrs they would give me a break. They made it impossible. I couldn't ask for a refund through the app. Then when I called the next day during business hours after a 15min hold, the agent said he would email me a link to "request a refund" and then when I tried to complete the form answering their "are you a human question" it glitched and wouldn't let me continue. I understand "policy" but not being able to contact and be heard after being a client for 13 years is really a slap in the face. I would absolutely not recommend them for this reason.

I cannot recommend Our Family Wizard.

The biggest issue is that the base plan limits voice calls between co-parents to just **45 minutes per month**. The problem is that Our Family Wizard is **not providing phone service**. The calls use your existing cellular or Wi-Fi connection through your own carrier, yet the app artificially limits the amount of time you can talk unless you pay to upgrade your subscription.

In other words, your phone carrier is providing the network, your internet or cellular plan is carrying the call, and Our Family Wizard simply places a software restriction on how long you can communicate. Once you reach the monthly limit, your only option is to upgrade or purchase additional minutes. Unused minutes also do not roll over to the next month.

Customer support has also been disappointing. Responses are often slow, which is especially frustrating when many users are required by court order to use the platform and cannot simply switch to a competing product.

The software has useful documentation features, but the business model feels designed to upsell users rather than support families. When a platform is court-ordered for many customers, it should prioritize accessibility, responsive support, and fair pricing—not create artificial communication limits that appear intended to generate additional revenue.

If you have a choice, I recommend evaluating other co-parenting platforms before committing to Our Family Wizard.

I signed up for this app as it had a 30 day refund policy. My co parent refused to use the app, so I went to get my refund.
Because I got the subscription through Google Play Store, our family wizard will not give me a refund. Neither will Google.
Thanks for being a totally unhelpful expense at a Google time in my life.

Praying on parents - customer services doesn’t exist and you have to upgrade after a year if you use journal - disgrace

I love this app. It works great with Coparenting.

If you’re considering using OurFamilyWizard, read the fine print first, thoroughly. If you're in a FDV situation, tread carefully and seek legal & MH advice first.

Once your account is created, you do not have meaningful control over your own data. Even after subscription ends, the company refuses to delete personal data, relying on broad interpretations of “shared data” and legal exceptions to retain everything indefinitely.

Attempts to exercise basic privacy rights under GDPR result in circular responses, policy links, and refusal to provide clear, specific justification for data retention.

The platform positions itself as a neutral co-parenting tool, but in practice it can enable ongoing one-sided control and abuse with no transparency around delivery or account status.

If you’re comfortable with permanent data retention and limited control over your own information, it may suit. If not, think carefully before committing.

Calendar, Journal and expense sharing sections of the app are woeful, isolated and cumbersome. Expect to be double-triple handling information between parties. There are better solutions, much better (& far cheaper and functional!)

My review is not based on a couple of weeks usage, But over a several years.

Garbage app. Facilitates the other co parent to further alienation, all while costing $ to "communicate"

I wanted to cancel my subscription. Delete my account but was unable to because I needed the co parent to approve it. It is my account but I cannot cancel or delete my account. There response was AI driven and a standard response. I tried several times to get resolution and I'm still trying.

Less than 1, awful customer service… seriously find another app

This app is so messed up, payments are constantly screwed up. You search for help and it sends you to an email. Tells you it will get back to you then it use to be less then 100 dollars now it’s 140 and limits pay transfers it’s not worth the money when your constantly contacting there non existence support team. It’s nothing but taking money and I’m a veteran limited income in a wheel chair and my ex is married to an active duty soldier and they do nothing for me I’m sure my ex gets the free account while they destroy me on money I don’t have. Do not accept this app in a child custody agreement they will destroy you raw.

Awful app, feels like it was written in about 2005, not even text formatting!

And non-compliant with GDPR. Avoid.

The two people where were meant to be using this service stopped using it. Then an automatic subscription was taken from my credit card, I have asked for a refund but I gget this : Unfortunately, OurFamilyWizard does not offer refunds for renewed subscriptions, so we're unable to issue a refund at this time. Your account will remain active until the current subscription expires or renews automatically.
Just another way to take money off parents trying to help kids.

Considering OFW is setup to help co-parenting, when comminication breaks down and you need support (as is the other parent not signing up) they won't give you a refund as per terms and conditions, nice way to treat people, great way to take your money and run :(

Our Family Wizard offers has a30 day refund policy, I paid for my subscription via Google pay and because of this OFW claim they can't refund my subscription. Google pay will not refund either. This is false and misleading advertising by Our Family Wizard.
The subscription is of no use to me and I am within the 30 day period.
Please tefund my payment as per your 30 day refund policy.

app has ruined my relationship with my son. It keeps giving me and him notices that I'm being recorded every minute. These notices disrupt video and audio feed between my son and me, and cause him to give up.

I've complained multiple times, and all I get is instruction to delete and reinstall. Just stop the notices!

This is a court-ordered expense for fathers that makes family relations worse

My experience with OFW has been great. Specifically the customer service. As an attorney, I've had occasion to communicate and work directly with the OFW liaison for my area, Danielle Kestnbaum, she's always very helpful and quick to respond.

Just a money grab for these people. I can. I can only talk to my daughter about 10 min per week.

I am a family law practitioner and often advise my clients to use OFW. What I like most of all is that I can have my own account on there to monitor communications at my client's request. It makes things easier to quickly respond to my client's needs. For my client's needs, it has everything they could ever need to co-parent -- a calendar, exchange monitor, note, recorded phone/video calls, tonemeter, etc.

App malfunctioned and approved a request I did not approve. When contacted support, they accepted no accountability and blamed it all on me. Support takes a week to respond. They refuse to assist me when their app systematically failed. Please be cautious with this app!
To reply to their response: I have reached out again to support and have been ignored for a week. And the support person, Javier, was very condescending and rude, especially for someone who claims they are a supervisor. You can contact me at hollylegrand1@gmail
