Items arrived quicker than I expected. I absolutely love the natural deodorant bars and they work really well! I work in a hot, sweaty, smelly warehouse and it lasted the entire day (we're in the middle of a heatwave btw).

The shaving soap could keep it's lather a little longer but it works just well as my old soap and it smells better.

Overall very happy and will buy the deodorant bars again.

This was my first (and last) purchase from Peace With the Wild. I bought a 120ml Rose Geranium & Lavender Body Butter and a face cream as a gift. When it arrived, it wasn’t simply sitting at a significantly low level in the jar. It was scraped around the sides, looked messy and depleted, like a jar of body butter that was coming to the end and needed replacing. I bought it as a special gift, for a dear friend, but it arrived in a condition so terrible that I can't give it as a gift.

I contacted the company with photographs taken right after opening. From their very first response they were on the defensive. Rather than addressing the condition in which the product had arrived or my concern about the quantity, they repeatedly explained that the whipped texture can collapse and that:

“the volume occupied by the product can reduce considerably because the air incorporated into the whipped texture is lost.”

I understand that. My question was whether the stated 120ml had actually been supplied. A question which in our email exchanges they repeatedly ignored with the skill of a politician questioned by the opposition. A photograph of another jar from the same batch, stored under different conditions, doesn’t answer that.

I was also reminded that their website says:

“We will not refund this product for separation, or a change in consistency.”

But my complaint wasn’t simply about consistency.

What has really disappointed me is the lack of care about what it is like to be on the receiving end of both their product and their customer service. There was no flexibility, no real attempt to address my concern and no sense at all that they cared about how their product had arrived, particularly as it was bought as a gift. I'm shocked PWTW tried to convince me the product was acceptable.

I only wish I could share a photograph of the jar here. I think you would be as shocked as I was that a company would send something out looking like this - looking as though someone in their warehouse had lazily dolloped a spoonful of cream into a jar and screwed on a lid - a dented lid, I should add. Or as if a child was pretending they had a Face Cream Shop and had got an old jam jar, taken their parent's body cream in their little hand tried to smear it into the jar.

It is a real shame. The product may be lovely when it leaves the warehouse, but should it arrive and not be what you expected and you want to exchange or return, they are very tricky. Chat GPT friendly emails, but a dogmatic no from the get go. Disappointing and time consuming.

I appreciate companies that DON’T ask you to review their products.
Have been looking for a genuinely UK-based retailer where I can buy all my plastic-free, ‘eco’ products. Very impressed with Peace with the Wild - not like other so-called UK-based companies (that take 5 days to deliver??). Very quick delivery; no plastic packaging. When something’s this good, you need to let everyone know!

Customer service awful. Refused to refund a faulty item and simply stopped responding to emails.

Absolutely impeccable packaging, came very quickly and I am so impressed with just how sustainable and high quality the packaging and groceries were. I ordered a large bag of organic dried mango and it is the best quality mango I have had in quite some time. I highly highly recommend this company for groceries!

Really great service! They forgot an item in my order but as soon as it was clarified that the item wasn't there they swiftly sent me the missing item!

I've regretted every single thing I've bought from them as the quality has been so disappointing. But worst has been a Neon Kactus glass bottle. Even though I barely used it, and always washed the bamboo lid gently by hand, the lid cracked after a couple of months of use. When I contacted Peace With The Wild asking for a replacement and told them I had always washed it by hand, they wasted my time over repeated emails, asking me if it had been through the dishwasher (it never had, and I'd already told them this), saying they could only send me a synthetic lid in pink or grey to replace it, and that I would have to pay postage because they're a 'small family business'. Their tone was really rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful, all while sending me lots of annoying smiley emojis :) :) :) :) They had zero awareness of their legal obligations under the Consumer Rights Act, which clearly states that if a product develops a fault within six months, the fault is presumed to have existed at the time of sale and the trader is required to offer a full refund, repair, or replacement. The retailer must pay the costs of repairing or replacing a faulty item and they must also pay to deliver it back to the customer. Peace With The Wild being too tight to pay a few pounds of postage to replace a faulty lid, and wasting their own company time writing long emails to me about why they didn't want to do this, when (as a low earner myself) I'd already paid £17.99 + £4.95 for a bottle I expected to last for years, was unbelievably petty and embarrassing for them. A reputable business would have refunded the entire bottle. They seem to think that as a small company, they are entitled to customers' money, as though they are a charitable cause. Alienating your customer base is such an own goal as you end up with lots of one-star reviews and turn potential loyal customers into people who will never buy from you again. In the end, out of the blue, I was sent a replacement bamboo lid, and it hasn't broken yet. But this morning after putting the bottle in the freezer (only half full with water) the bottom fell out of the entire bottle and left shards of glass and water all over my carpet. Given that I regularly freeze food and liquids like soup in glass containers, and have never had anything break before, I think the Neon Kactus brand they stock is really poor quality. Peace With The Wild claims on their website that the bottle is made of 'high quality thick borosilicate glass' but that's clearly not the case. (Also, looking at other glass bottle brands on the market such as Black + Blum, the brands say you absolutely can freeze them because they're made of strong borosilicate glass.) I've also bought laundry liquid from Peace With The Wild (impossible to open and smelt foul) and a few other things from them in the past, but I'd absolutely never order from them again. It seems to me that they exploit the goodwill and good intentions of eco-conscious customers trying to shop responsibly.

Waiting for a refund on a packet of peas which were damaged in the post. Currently they are not responding to emails. There is no EU number of Organic certification on the product either

Although, the order arrived promptly I received clear communication via email which I greatly appreciated. And peace with the wild were great. The mascara from Zao was terrible . A black inky mess my mum’s art watercolours could of done a better job for a fraction of the price. £16.60. The wand was massive big enough to use for laying edges. And the mascara clumped easily and got into the eyes. I would rate the mascara minus infinity if I could. On a more positive note the liquid eyeliner from Zao was good although it transferred a bit on the bottom. It was on par with bare minerals maximalist liquid eyeliner. But it’s long tip and short wand made of hard to apply. I have been wearing eyeliner for close to 3 years now. The products would run and run but in fairness I have watery eyes. I did love the beautiful bamboo packaging it was so lovely. Loved the concept of refillable makeup. But unfortunately due to the high price. The performance of the products didn’t justify the price. Zoeva pencil gel eyeliner performed much better. I will get soulgazer mascara mini from kosas next time.

Just had my first order from Peace with the Wild but it most certainly will not be my last! It's an excellent company and their products are amazing. I'm 78 and, because of various health problems for many years, I've been unable to use products from supermarkets to clean my house or on my body. I've always found it difficult to believe the hype of various eco companies, but I trust Peace with the Wild, they care!
I would definitely recommend then for all products both around the house and personal care. So glad I found them!

The company claims to promote social justice and progressive values, yet uses sexist implications (has a section on the website named "mama and baby" instead of "parent and baby", for example, as if fathers don't take care of their own children), and also promotes toxic beauty standards (for example, it sells tanning oil, which promotes the idea that pale skin is ugly, and also encourages people to risk cancer in the name of beauty). Pathetic hypocrites! Plus, their products overall suck and are of low quality (for example, their razor blades are downright dangerous to use!).

Peppermint toothpaste tablets with fluoride were disgusting. Totally unusable. Like putting a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda in your mouth

Made an order to try a few things with a view to subscribing….there is no edit order option…

Will likely cancel as a result, being caught in unmanageable subscriptions, usually with too frequent deliveries leading to overstock, isn’t particularly ethical.

Think before you order from this company. I have had a reaction to the organic hair conditioner. This company will not arrange a collection and refund the item. I am going to report this issue to the ombudsman. Pig headed owner who is awful. Avoid this company

Peace with the Wild is one of my go-to online stores. Usually cleaning, beauty and skincare. I love the ethics and the variety.

This time, I also ordered a range of food - lentils, nuts etc. All great, but the dates are standout. Absolutely delicious

I've bought quite a lot from this good company. Arrived on time and as described, I'm really happy to support a local UK company that actually cares about people, health, and the environment. Some of the profit (on some items) will go to help good causes (e.g. Pad For Pad Programme).

I really like the scented candles, they have a subtle aroma that is lovely and the candles are vegan so kind to the environment as well.

Delivery is always within a couple of days of ordering and I love that they use Royal Mail which, in my opinion, is by far the best delivery service.

Very happy with this company and look forward to ordering with them again.

I ordered some paper pens and when these arrived 3 were not working and I didn't break the seal on the fourth because I was not impressed with the quality of any of them. I had to send a few emails and a video of the broken pen not working before I was issued with a returns label. I posted the return and, a week after the tracking showed they had arrived back at Peace With the Wild, I followed up to press for the refund. The customer service person did respond to emails and help as best she could. The refund paid, despite the fact that the pens were broken and my return was not because I simply didn't want them anymore, did not include refunding the postage I originally paid when ordered. This seems unfair considering the items were faulty. This company can do better.

I have used this company for several years and I really like their products, which are truly environmentally friendly. The delivery is fast, customer service effficient and there is wide range of products. The points system helps too!

So I purchased some unpaper kitchen towels some cosmetic round pads some reusable sanitary pads some in between tooth brush’s and toothpaste tablets and I haven’t tried the sanity pads and the I between brushes and also got some Tin toppers the un paper towels and round pads are good I’m sure the pads ands and in between brushes would be ok I just don’t like the toothpaste tablets the taste of them is a bit off but that’s just my personal taste
