Stay away from this company, refused to pay for a claim after the sudden death of our dog , very happy to take your money but not willing to pay out . I would of given them less than 1 star if i could of . Additional information as requested. Perfect pet 542599
Cause of death seizures. Seizures began early hours Friday morning progressively got worse over the weekend and was sadly put to sleep early hours 2nd June. Previously very fit. One frustrating thing with perfect pet , I received a text 18th June saying they are dealing with our claim and would be intouch with any further information. This was not the case I,I had not received any further contact from them I contacted them myself and hearing the claim would not be being paid.

Emily made renewing our policy very quick and easy to do. She explained all that would happen along with dates for payments. Very happy.

Perfect Pet is a complete joke. My cat was diagnosed with FIP, which cost us thousands to save his life. Of course, we claimed on the insurance and were assured over and over again on the phone that the money would be sent to us once they had our cat’s vet records.

The veterinarian who assessed and diagnosed my cat sent their notes to Perfect Pet. In those notes, the vet had mentioned MONTHS and MONTHS earlier that our cat had been experiencing diarrhoea, most likely due to changes in his diet.

Perfect Pet used this to claim that our cat could technically have had FIP before we were insured with them. THIS IS COMPLETE RUBBISH, as FIP causes a cat to deteriorate extremely quickly and is a life-threatening disease.

The diarrhoea could not have been an early sign of FIP because our cat was diagnosed with the condition literal months and months later, after he deteriorated so quickly over the space of just 24 hours.

The veterinarians sent Perfect Pet multiple emails explaining why the upset stomach months earlier could not possibly have been connected to his FIP. This still did not work. Perfect Pet simply did not want to know. Even though they specifically asked the vets to provide evidence and proof (which they did), they completely ignored the veterinarians’ professional opinions and the facts surrounding his diagnosis.

We didn’t get a penny back and were simply told to take it to the complaints team.

DISGUSTING COMPANY. We paid for insurance to protect our cat and were left thousands of pounds out of pocket when we needed that protection most.

Very helpful and was genuinely conserned about my dog jasper

Had issues with logging on to site as I have multiple pets insured and somehow I’d managed to use the same email address but different passwords! Dropped the team a line out of hours and had a response within a hour of them opening. Tad frustrating that the two policies can be linked off of one portal but can’t complain about the service from Becky.

My policy was suspended due to a banking error (on my part) but I called and explained the situation and paid the due amount and my policy was immediately activated as it was prior to my error, fantastic service and understanding.

Do not use they apply excessive limits to any vets bills so in effect make the insurance useless as the excess and limits minimise the amount they pay to literally zero. Buy better insurance with another provider as once you have a claim is excluded from taking cover from another so bite the bullet pay a little more and get what you pay for - literally no cover for slightly lower premiums so you pay twice if pet falls ill.
