Great staff and activities. Our Year 6 children loved it

The variety of activities, the experienced and friendly staff and excellent organisation made this easy and enjoyable for any teachers who are up for the PGL experience

Our class got sent back early

We went on a recent school residential to PGL Osmington Bay and it was amazing. Staff were well organised, friendly and polite and the whole trip was enjoyable for our children and easy to organise. Thank you for a wonderful trip team PGL Osmington!

Most staff were very friendly, professional and enthusiastic, which encouraged the children and adults as well.
Accommodation was acceptable, but the menu could be improved.
Daytime activities were awesome and the children loved the range - adults loved the fact that children were tired by bedtime and did not stay up too late.

Just back from another visit to PGL Dalguise. If you have any medical issues which you struggle to walk up hills, this place is not for you. Something needs done to help people ie provide a transport etc.

Cleanliness was a bit of an issue in our lodge too, for example sanitary bin had not been emptied in leaders room, lots of ants in children's rooms, bedding which had stains on it, walls with stains on it etc.

Food was ok apart from Friday evening - we were supposed to get Pork Sausages (along with the Chicken ones) but because a group who were there and who dont eat pork, the kitchen decided to remove them from the menu. While I appreciate that they dont eat pork, everyone else does - why should our views not be taken into account. After mentioning this, there was an internal discussion and then the staff apologised and said that it shouldnt have happened and they should have been served.

Our Groupie was excellent though. Very accommodating and good with the children.

Having stayed there about 14 times now, some of the activities are getting a little tired. Be good to get some new things especially for younger children - 7+ age.

Brownies. Action packed programme of not stop fun. Well run activities, will friendly staff. Catering is good, could be more child friendly (plainer food) but all allergies and dietary requirements deal with without issue.

Finn was an amazing group leader and always took time to interact with the children at every opportunity. If we had minor issues, such as swapping a room over, washing and drying a nose-bleed dirtied hoodie, he sorted it immediately. Activity instructors were also of a high calibre and we had a fantastic time.

An excellent trip to PGl Liddington. Wonderful facilities, excellent activities and staff were great and very friendly.

Great organisation at Winmarleigh Hall. Staff were very supportive and attentive and the activities were very well organised. The food was well-made and plenty of choice for the children.

Top tier for school visits. Fun activities, great staff and always safety first.

Once again, you have provided our students with an outstanding environment in which they can challenge themselves, overcome their fears, and, most importantly, have a great deal of fun. Both students and staff had a fantastic experience, and we are already looking forward to returning next year.

I am deeply disappointed and distressed by the experience my daughter had at PGL. What was supposed to be an enjoyable residential trip turned into an ordeal that I am now pursuing as a formal complaint.
On arrival, her bedding was soiled and contained dead insects. She raised this with five different members of staff including the group leader, and was ignored. She slept on a towel with no blanket or pillow for an entire night.
my daughter is neurodivergent. Despite this being known in advance, staff refused to let her sit out of activities, failed to provide alternative food options leaving her to go to bed hungry, and did not administer her medication for several hours when she needed ibuprofen.
She was subjected to direct racist abuse from other children, which staff witnessed and did nothing about.
There were also serious safeguarding concerns regarding the separation of boys' and girls' accommodation, and items found on site that should never be present in a children's environment.
As PGL is Ofsted regulated, I will be escalating my concerns accordingly if a satisfactory response is not received.
The only positives were a small number of staff — Leah, Beth, Tamzen, Harry and Claire — who were genuinely helpful.

Huge range of activities meant really busy days. Catering and the variety of food each day was great. Kids and adults all had a fantastic holiday.

The whole PGL staff are excellent. Nothing is too much for them and they accommodated our every request. The activities were very well run with enthusiastic leaders who encouraged and supported all children. The staff accommodation was very good compared to other residentials I have been on with coffee and tea making facilities in the room and towels. All rooms, including the children's were ensuite. The food was excellent with a good range and all allergies and preferences catered for. The location was very good and the whole site well maintained. I would highly recommend as a residential choice. Our children were Primary year 5/6 and all had a fantastic and memorable stay. Our group leader, Quinn, was exceptional and could not have been more 'present' and supportive of our needs.
