Avoid at all costs! Despite now offering a 100% corona refund for new bookings, they refused to refund us a single penny for our trip in March 2020 which was cancelled due to C19, or to make any other reasonable engagement (partial refund, voucher, ...). Powder White has not even been reasonable enough to refund us costs not incurred (tourist tax paid up front, costs for all inclusive food and wine for 15 people, ...). We feel unfortunate to have dealt with such a callous and unreasonable company, and hope to warn any others to avoid similar future experiences.

I am so unimpressed with the complete disregard for customer service from Powder White!
They have refused point blank to give us a single penny of our money back on a trip to St. Anton which was cancelled due to covid, not even the tourist tax or money for food and drink which was included too. We even suggested postponing the trip to next year which they also refused.
Clearly all of the 5 star reviews are fake.

We have had the worst experience with PW during the coronavirus pandemic. After cancelling our holiday they have refused to return any of the £15,000 we paid for a chalet in St Anton; not even the tourist tax that was paid upfront (we never even left the UK!) I know that the company is also putting up fake 5* reviews Here on UK Trust Pilot so watch out for that. Avoid at all costs.

Always had a great experience with Powder White. I have just booked my next ski holiday with them for 2021 as they now offer a full refund due to the current events.
I couldn't recommend them enough!

As is the case in the countless negative reviews, Power White have been fraudulently refusing to refund or vouchers for our cancelled April Ski trip.

Please do not be conned by the deceitful self-promoting positive reviews on this platform.

The similarity of the themes and language used in each of the recent 5-Star reviews makes Powder White’s attempt at papering over the tirade of negative reviews blindingly obvious.

That aside, i’m not sure why anyone would return some six months after a holiday to leave a review commenting on the insurance position of others?! The blatant mimicking of a happy customer, the existence of which I am doubtful of, is disgusting and idiocy of the company is truest staggering.

We will be taking action against Powder White, please refer to other recent reviews for information on this.

We've used Powder White a number of times and have always had a fantastic experience so we were shocked to see the barrage of 1* negative reviews in recent weeks.

They all seem to relate to cancellations in response to covid-19.

What all the complaints we've seen don't seem to mention is why they haven't claimed on their travel insurance.

We take out comprehensive annual travel insurance (including winter sports) cover each year and this covered the covid-19 related cancellation of our April holiday.

You cannot rely on credit card cover which is not intended as comprehensive insurance to cover totally unforeseeable events.

We certainly hope Powder White survives the impact of covid-19. You only have

Don't normally write reviews, in fact this is my first but i was aghast to see that Powder White had any positive reviews, not least a 5 star one at the top and felt compelled to warn my fellow holiday goers of the perils of trusting Powder White.

Powder White will attempt to steal your money if anything goes wrong relying on clauses in their contract which the CMA say are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They clearly hope it will scare enough of their customers off so they can abscond with their money.

In summary, do yourselves a favour and use anyone but Powder White.

As an aside, I couldn't help but agree with Ryan's comments below. Who on earth writes 5 star reviews in the middle of the summer, 6 months out from your last holiday if not the shady company themselves.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Anton last year. Great snow, great chalet, great company.

Absolutely crying that there could be recent positive reviews! Never have I witnessed such blatant self promotion and flattery from a company. One more nail in the coffin for why you should never trust Powder White.

Given Powder White's dire reputation, in my view not a single one of the recent 5 star reviews appears legitimate and looks akin to a shameful attempt to boost a disgraced companies ratings.

Like many i have been affected by Powder White's despicable trading standards and will continue to encourage everyone I come into contact with not to travel with them in the future.

Do yourselves a favour and do not get sucked into what appears to be a Powder White advertising campaign posing as legitimate reviews.

Having read the reviews below I feel compelled to stick up for Powder White. We've had numerous holidays with them and they have looked after us and our friends superbly throughout each time. Sadly we too had our holiday cancelled this year but as we were sufficiently insured we had no problem getting our money back. I can only assume the complainers on here were not. I hope Powder White can get through this difficult time so that we can enjoy staying with them next year and beyond.

I would suggest the company will have to reinvent its self as the Powder White brand now tarnished.

Make sure you do not book, effectively with the same company under a new name!

We have always returned to Powderwhite for both catered chalets and self-catered apartments, all without fail absolutely superb holidays – lovely accommodation, amazing food and staff couldn’t do more to keep us happy. We sincerely hope Powderwhite can ride-out these challenging times so that we can get booking again as soon as we can.

Do not use Powder white. They cancelled our ski holiday and have offered nothing by way of refund. We were simply issued our invoice and told to follow with the insurance.

To then further rub salt in the wounds, powder white offered a 10% discount on the cost of a holiday next year, when in reality the price of a chalet has increased on this years price by almost 15%. Complete Joke.

In addition to the above, we had just arrived at the resort and stayed 1 night at the accommodation before finding out that the resort must close. Powder white offered zero communications and even cancelled our transfers, telling us there vehicles must remain on the resort for emergencies. We were left to arrange our own with zero help. If this was not an emergency i would be interested to know what is?

Would advise that anyone who has not received a refund and booked the ski holiday as a package reads the package travel regulations 2018 and follows this up with a county court order. Powder white as per the regulations are obliged to refund you the full amount as the holiday has not been fulfilled.

Never use this company. Paid £8k for a weeks Ski chalet holiday. Cancelled by powder white due to covid. Could not have been handled any worse. No apology, no refund, not responding to emails asking for a refund, no offer of credit note etc. Someone somewhere is making lots of money out of the crisis

Do Not use Powder White - Pretty much the same as every other person who has written bad reviews. We paid over 4K for Skiing holiday that was cancelled due to Covid. Absolutely no refund, or even part of the saving they would have made as not staff on site etc.
Or even movement of the date until 2021 which would be possible.
They have walked off with so much money if you calculate all the people on here who have not had anything back - I did a quick calculate and its over 120K
I will never use this company again.

Refused to refund any of a group chalet booking that we were not allowed to attend due to Covid. We’re talking over £10k and they refund zero despite the chalet not having to pay variable staff or food costs.
Difficult situation but that’s when you see the true ethics and principles of a company - no offer to defer, or provide vouchers - will never ever use again - recommend to AVOID.

Terrible experience of Powder White, had booked a chalet in Meribel for March 2020 and the booking needed to be cancelled due to Covid-19 and ski resorts being shut. I have had the same experience of everyone else who has reviewed, a very off-hand email with a cancellation invoice, saying the trip couldn't go ahead and we would need to claim the £10,000+ through our insurance - when challenged, they responded with this: "As per our terms and conditions we cannot offer a refund in this type of unprecedented situation. The components of your holiday have already been paid for, none of which can be recovered and refund would result in a double hit to Powder White. I hope this goes some way in explaining why we have such terms in place."

Safe to say I will not be putting my money in the hands of this company again and advise others to steer clear!

Terrible. I would never again book a vacation with Powder White. No refund although cancelling the trip and no refund for catering charges while no costs for food etc. were incurred by PowderWhite. Poor responses, not meeting promises.

Do not book with this company. We had a chalet and ski passes booked through a broker in St Anton for March which were cancelled due to COVID-19. Powderwhite have refused to refund anything, even the lift passes and have not responded to any emails since the country went into lockdown. Most reputable companies are offering either credit notes or alternative weeks for the 2021 season, but not powderwhite. They are quite happy to take your money, but do not care about their customers or any good will they may have generated. I would not recommend booking with them in the future.
