We’ve been members of Propertymark for many years and have always valued their support. However, we were particularly impressed by how insightful, helpful, and informative Darren’s recent visit and audit were.

He thoroughly reviewed all the areas we should be adhering to, offering clear, practical advice on the steps we could take. He even went above and beyond by helping to draft documents and posters.

The audit was very informative, supportive and a very helpful experience with the emphasis on achieving the shared aim of ensuring high standards.

Compliance Audit. Two words that probably fill most businesses with dread, if only because we're busy trying to make a living! Fear not though. It was actually very useful. Fortunately our business is very compliant and aware of its obligations, but Propertymark are not trying to catch you out here. There's a myriad of legislation and regulation to keep on top of. Not helped when the powers that be are all over the shop i.e. the material information debacle.
Darren is really friendly and helpful and just made useful suggestions on how we could tidy up a few things and just be even more bullet proof as a business should we ever be inspected. Definitely worth the time to have someone who really knows this stuff backwards to act as a fail safe and indeed a resource I'd happily go back to in future.

After over three decades of blemish-free support, today I have reached the conclusion that Propertymark has lost its core purpose and all sensible direction, so I have resigned my FNAEA and MARLA memberships.

I'm sure the founders would be horrified to learn that Propertymark has formed a separate limited company for the purpose of investing funds into venture capital. If that's not bad enough, £115k was lost in one venture alone in 2024. Whose money was lost?
