Was looking for 2 new tyers
Was looking for 2 new tyers, contacted this location was booked in quickly, tyer prices were very competitive, arrived and fitted in under an hour, all done no drama.
Following on after this my car failed it's MOT at a main dealership not Protyre and this concerned the tyres just fitted, after a quick call to Protyre it appears the main dealership had got it wrong, so my car passed the MOT so thank you Protyre your advice saved me a tidy sum
Will be back next time for a service and MOT

Mistake using Protyre
17th September 2026 made the mistake off going to Protyre Alcester for two replacement tyres, arrived for appointment at 11:00 and at 12:05 was told they had changed one tyre but then broke the locking wheel nut socket.
So, I had to go to Wythall to see John at "lockingwheelnut-removal" who were brilliant. Three of the locking wheel studs came off in 15 minutes, then they moved to the locking wheel nut on the wheel Protyre HAD JUST CHANGES that should have been the easiest.
30 minutes later, the standard removal method failing, John resorting to grinding the wheel stud off and eventually succeeded removing this last wheel stud. The expert opinion was the locking wheel nut socket had broken when Protyre excessively tightened the wheel nut on the wheel they did replace, nothing else made sense. The wheel stud Protyre had just replaced should have been the easiest to remove, not the hardest.
£ 114.00 out of pocket I had to go back to protyre to have the tyre fitted and of course they pleaded innocence had no explanation why the wheel stud they had just fitted was so difficult to remove.

Checked the wheels and tyres, explained why we needed a new tyre. Ordered the tyre and gave us a booking the next day, to suit our arrangements.
When we arrived next day at the appointed time everything was in place as promised. The staff we dealt with were professional and friendly.

Poor quality products
Put my car in for suspension and 2 shock absorber replacements at Protyre Alcester as well as 2 tyres and full service. Obviously cost a lot. First shock absorber didn’t last four months had to be replaced again which in fairness they did. Second shock absorber failed and was replaced again by Protyre. The shock absorber didn’t even last a month and completely blew and we’ve now had to go to another garage to get that fixed.
In all fairness protyre staff and customer service were nice enough and refunded us for the shock absorber cost, but as this garage are one of the most expensive around for repairs, we weren’t impressed by the quality of workmanship or the poor quality products they use.
