Protyre Autocare - Wimborne Reviews 

I bought tyres off Protyre website to be fitted at the Wimborne branch near Ferndown. I chose an appointment at 11.00 and was there on time as requested in the receipt. My car was not even looked at for an hour (I was waiting) and was eventually ready after an hour and a half!! Several others waiting a long time too. This was very poor service.
When I eventually drove off to Wimborne the car was showing incorrect tyre pressure on a front wheel (the new tyres). On return home I used an accurate tyre pressure gauge and found the two new front tyres were different by 2.5lbs!! This should never happen - they should be pumped up to the SAME pressure (both new tyres on front).
I have been using this business for all my tyres (2 cars) for about 25 years. Standards have sadly deteriorated and it is likely I won’t be going there again. Very disappointed. I should note that the staff apologised but they need to improve their standards.

There’s not a lot between the Tyre companies that offer good prices for Motorcycle tyres but of those that do, I’ve always been pleased with the no fuss service at Ferndown/Wimborne branch. Give em a try, you won’t be let down with inflated prices! (sorry, couldn’t resist 😉)

I needed 2 new tyres for my Kia Niro. When I called to order and book a visit, it was explained that my version of Michelin tyre had been updated. These I ordered for a visit two days ahead. On the visit the tyres were changed quickly, I paid the bill and was on my way.

I booked my car in at 1 o'clock to have the air-conditioning regas. After waiting for an hour and a half I had my car returned and told air con didn't work because of a faulty compressor. I totally understand this is not the fault of the mechanics, but was asked to pay the full amount. I was, however offered for the gas to be taken out so I wouldn't have to pay, but would take an extra half hour. I didn't want to wait even longer and didn't have time to .Also a technician had put something hot on top of a plastic cover above the radiator and melted it so much it doesn't fit anymore so had to cable tie it on as it doesn't fit properly. That's what I got for £60.
I have used this garage before over the last couple of years without problem. This time though all of the employees had been changed and it wasnt as good.

Not ideal getting a puncture at 9:30pm on the night before you have to drive to Bristol to catch a holiday flight the next morning! So I ended up at Protyre for 8:30am the following day needing a quick fix or potentially losing the holiday. Jack on reception and Carl, who did the repair, were superb and I was on my way again within 20 minutes. No issues with the repair and we had a superb holiday. Thanks to Jack for his polite welcome and to Carl for a great job done. 5 stars for sure!!
