Poor unprofessional service at Quality Part X in Dunstable!

Normally, when you buy a car from a dealership, you are given all the relevant documents, such as previous MOT records, full service history, and a battery health report. When I went to complete the purchase and collect the car, I asked the salesperson several times to send me these documents if they were not available in the car. Each time I was told they would be emailed to me, but I never received anything.

During the handover, the salesperson seemed much more interested in selling me an expensive extended warranty (with a third-party company). When I said I needed time to think about it, I was told that if I didn’t want it, I could simply reject it later via the email link. In reality, cancelling it was not straightforward at all. I spent an entire day on the phone trying to reach the right department, as the automated phone system was very unclear.

When I collected the car, I was given the green new keeper slip and told to use it to pay the road tax. When I tried to do this online, I kept getting a generic error. I contacted DVLA and was told to go to a Post Office and pay there, which I did.

After about a week, I called the dealership again to request the service history and battery report. The person who answered said someone would call me back, but I never received any call. A few days later I called again and was told to email the service department. They were helpful and, after a few days, sent me the documents I had been asking for from the beginning.

After a month of owning the car, I was still waiting for the V5C logbook. Normally, the dealer applies for this either online or by post so it is sent to the new owner. Since I hadn’t received anything, I contacted DVLA and gave them the reference number from the green slip I was given. They told me the number was not valid and that there were two possible reasons: either it was an old slip or it had already been used. They also confirmed that, since the date I bought the car (10 February), no application for a new V5C had been made at all.

I then called the dealership to ask for an explanation. Again, I was told someone would call me back, but no one did. I called again a few days later and was told to contact the aftersales department. I tried calling them four times in one day with no answer and no callback. The following day I called again the dealership and was told to send a message on WhatsApp and that someone would respond. I received no reply.

Only after I sent another message clearly stating that the service I received was very poor and that it felt like the only priority was selling the car, did I finally get a response with apologies.

By that point, I had already had enough and decided to deal with DVLA myself. I applied for a new V5C through the Post Office and had to pay £25 plus additional fees. The issue for me is not the cost, but the amount of time wasted and the lack of proper follow-up.

After one and a half months of owning the car, I still do not have the V5C. I only discovered the issue because I actively checked. In a different situation, this could easily have been missed and caused problems later on.

Overall, this experience has been very disappointing. The communication has been poor, promises were not kept, and basic processes were not handled properly.

Good customer service, sales team that aren’t pushy. Seamless process.

Horrible customer support. I had been charged for my part exchange vehicle and contacted customer support and provided all my details. Only to be told I will be contacted "soon" I reached out every week for 4 weeks with the same question and met with the same answer, that I will be contacted "soon". And when pressing further that "soon" isn't good enough anymore and asking when am I being contacted regarding the matter the customer support was closed. Don't waste time with this you'll get nowhere, unless "soon" means never

Came in Jan to buy my car and returned in Feb with my mum to buy her car. Indikar helped us again and provided great service as usual. Definitely recommend him hes super helpful.

QUALITY PART X STEVENAGE IS THE WORST AND ARE A BUNCH OF CON ARTIST AFTER SELLING MY MOTHER A CAR WITH RUSTY BREAKS THAT COULD HAVE KILLED HER NOW THEY REFUSE TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. QUALITY PART X AND MONEYBARN SHOULD BE COMPLETELY SCAPPED AS COMPANIES AS MONEYBARN HAS BEEN FINED £2.77 MILLION FOR THE WAY IN WHICH THEY TREAT CLIENTS AND SO HAS QUALITY PART X. TRUST PIOLET DELETED MY POST LAST TIME BUT I WILL STILL KEEP POSTING AND IF TRUST PIOLET ERASES MY REVIEWS AGAIN I WILL PUT THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA TOO AND TELL EVERYONE HOW THEY CANT BE TRUSTED EITHER.

Great experience from start to end,
From the moment I entered the premises I was treated and direct where to park, as it’s a busy place it could get confusing where to park so having someone direct me was a great start,
We were then shown to the waiting area where the salesman came and greeted us and took us to show the car inside a showroom as it was raining.
Went on a test drive and came back to sit in an office to discuss the purchase.
The salesman was not pushy and understood all our questions and answered them all very well.
This is our 1st big purchase so we’re quite nervous but the salesman made us feel quite comfortable.
Once we agreed on everything we paid for the car then got taken to do the paper work and we drove home happy.
