My Emails always get answered , dad has been ill on two of our trips and staff on the phone and via email are always helpful changing ferry time making sure we are next to a lift , also extra space for him to get out of the car . Even arranged wheelchair as dad was very weak .
I find the customer service excellent which is very rare these days .

I recently travelled on thr ferry from cowes to Southampton. Arrived 30 min before boarding with a disabled badge. Displayed the yellow ticket as asked and left my hazard lights on. They boarded me last next to a hdv trailer with no way for me to get round. I raised a complaint and they blamed for being late!!! The late trip was the return trip. On the return trip I had plenty of space. My complaint was regards the outbound trip. They did not take the time to read my complaint properly before claiming it on me. They also said I had plenty of room to navigate the trip to the lifts. I included photos. I walk with a frame. There was no way possible to get to the lift with my frame. There reply was negative. I asked to raise an official complaint with a complaint reference number. I have not received a response. The customer service is terrible, which is a shame because I am a frequent traveller. To blame me and brush me off is very un professional. It saddens me why they take this attitude.

Unbelievably expensive. Overcrowded and dirty ferries. Singularly unimpressed.

Ferry crossing was good, comfortable seats and good amenities.

Easy to book. The staff were friendly. The journey was stress free.

Slight delay because of a broken down car but they made the time up.
Our grandkids love travelling on the ferry. It gets them ready for their holiday.

Not wild about your new app though. I could not find out the service status for the ferries as we were in transit, only where they were in the solent/sound.

I Travel on Red Funnel to visit family. I used to go to the Isle of Wight 3/4 times a year but now I only go maybe twice a year as it has got expensive. The discount codes help sometimes depending on when you are travelling but it is cheaper than Wightlink.

Broken lift to the dog area, my old dog fell down the stairs. Very disappointing and dangerous.

Amazing staff, amazing experience. My fault booked the wrong itinerary. Called customer services who changed and without any penalties. One the way back, wanted to get the earlier ferry, again called the customer service centre who changes it under 5 mins. Onboard experience was good. Clean and comfortable.

Experience was good, managed to get a seat at the front. Being disabled, it was nice to have extra leg room. Prices are quite high though, I always book my ferry in November on Black Friday, if I can’t get a reduction I wouldn’t be able to afford it, and we have been travelling by Red Funnel for the last 20 years.
