I received my Levisham 3.5 inch ebonised chess men three days after ordering them, which is very prompt service. The Regency Chess Company kept me fully informed at every stage of my order. The pieces were delivered well wrapped and in good condition.
I am glad I chose to place an order with The Regency Chess Company and receive first class service and a beautiful set of chess pieces.
Would definitely order from them again.

I have purchased a luxury Monarch Series chess set from The Regency Chess Company. I cannot express how happy I am with the service this company provides. It is really exquisite! I was unlucky enough some of my chessmen to be delivered with small defects and I have immediately informed Paula Hillier about that, enclosing pictures of the problematic pieces. Her response was prompt and 100% adequate and on the next day, my replacement pieces were already travelling to me. In addition I had a personal request to her (unrelated to the defects), which she also granted promptly (big "Thank you" for that, Paula!). All in all, I highly recommend the Regency Chess Company to anyone thinking of buying a high end chess set (or other similar thing). These people are not just sellers and they really value their customer satisfaction (unlike many others). You can safely spend your money there and will have no regrets after!

I have purchased various items from Regency Chess in the past few years and will continue to buy with confidence from them in the future. Any problems that have arisen due to the nature of the purchases have been immediately rectified and I can’t praise Paula Hillier enough in this regard. A great quality product and a great service adds up to a great company. Top tip - email rather than ‘phone for speedy response.

I ordered a Staunton chess set before Christmas and upon arrival I found that one black pawn was missing. I emailed the company, and Paula responded quickly, asking me not to worry, and assured me they would make it right, which she did. I received a replacement set that was to my satisfaction really quickly. Absolutely brilliant customer service!

Its when things go a bit wrong that you know whether a company will stand by its service and product, and happy to report Regency Chess did so, and I will happily buy again without hesitation.

I bought the Luxury Olive Wood Burl Backgammon set by Manopoulos as a Christmas present for my husband. It arrived promptly and I have just opened the package to wrap it for Christmas Day. I was genuinely taken aback - it is so stunningly beautiful! The video of it being made sold this choice of set to me and the service from the Regency Chess Company from start to finish was absolutely superb. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Bought the Frankfurt Grand Black Chess Set, 7.5" travel chess set & checkers pieces in a presentation box too.... The Frankfurt, what a set up straight out of the box, it looks and feels quality... The pieces glide across the board and the size / weight are perfect..... The 21" board and 4" pieces are perfectly balanced and are visually appealing.... The delivery packaging was all well boxed and protected so postage was painless and delivery quick... The website is easy to navigate and gives excellent / accurate descriptions of the sets so as to make an informed decision...... I also received a bonus Isle of Lewis Queen which was a nice Suprise (Thank you Regency!!) .... Thank you Regency for a pleasant purchase that I will enjoy for years to come..... Cannot praise the company highly enough...

I have just received my Root Wood Burl luxury compartment chess piece case. It looks exactly as on the website and is solid and well made. Overall it is lovely

But... it is enormous. Checking back I now see the dimensions I overlooked. It's also truly heavy, again as listed.

I may return it, not because there is anything wrong with it but because I was silly enough to buy after just looking at the picture and not checking the dimensions.

Or I could build a house extension to store it.

If I decide to keep it, I will add a suitable handle as its size and weight make it cumbersome to carry around. If I do return it, I will buy one of their smaller boxes. But either way, it's a lovely item.

Excellent website offering wide choice and very useful range of filters. Couldn't get through on the phone but response to contact form is very prompt. High standard customer service. Great company to use.

I ordered a 23.6 inch Dark Walnut chess board which arrived within two days. I am writing this review because I was blown away by the quality of this board, it is MAGNIFICENT and, the picture on the RC website does not do it any justice at all. I originally wanted the lighter Elm Burl and briarwood board but this was out of stock and i'm so glad now that it was (and still is) because, in my view, the board I have now has no equal.

Recently purchased the Manopoulos Grey and Beige Ostrich Backgammon Set and it arrived today. The board is wonderful and I could not be happier with my purchase.The board and pieces are well crafted. The grey is a little darker than in the pictures and looks fantastic. Great price and fast shipping. Thank you.

Ordered a Staunton Style tournament 16inch board. On site on £130 discounted to £75, so thought must be of decent quality for that kind of money. Arrived this morning, and very well packaged., but upon opening, was very dissapointed in quality. I should have paid £20 of amazon, as that is all it is worth. Had 2 black kings, no white kings.The whole set Looks and felt cheap (certainly not worth £75, let alone the £130 price as per website). No probs in returning for full refund so nothing lost apart from dissapointment, so once i get refund , i will buy similar quality for a fraction of price. Regards Mark

I am the proud owner of the Isle of Lewis chess set and I couldn't be more happier! I ordered this set on a Monday afternoon, (normal dispatch) and it was with me by the Wednesday!! That's fast! It was beautifully packaged with lots of bubble wrap and a thick cardboard box outer. This alone tells you that this company is absolutely proud of their products and quite rightly so! This chess set is stunning! I mean it is REALLY STUNNING! It has tons of quality, the pieces are amazing, the weight and feel of them are worth EVERY penny. You will not be disappointed. Even their presentation box is well crafted and houses the chess pieces beautifully. I am so glad I purchased from The Regency Chess Company and will be looking at using them again, to purchase a new chess board.

The 16.75 in. Folding Walnut Chess Board arrived well-packaged, with bubble-wrap and styrofoam peanuts. It was undamaged and a well-made board.

I ordered the Fierce Knight Black Tournament Chess Set on 16 January and it arrived safely today as planned. Both the board and set are of really excellent quality with a 2 year warranty. Excellent customer service as I found today. One of the rooks had a minor chip - called the company who are immediately sending a replacement piece- no quibble s at all - don't normally bother with reviews but Regency Chess are the best on-line chess set company I have found - think others should know!

Shipment to Japan was incredibly quick, wonderful board and pieces excellent quality and packed very well. I would give 5 stars but the analogue clock we ordered was damaged (one of the red dropper things), I don't know whether in transit or not. Anyway the quality of the set meant I was happy.
