Romans - Tilehurst Reviews 

The team at Romans Tilehurst were very helpful during in my recent move to my new rented property. Nathan, Charlotte and Lorraine from move management were especially helpful in making the move as smooth as possible.

If I could give them a minus rating I would. I have been renting for a decade and without a doubt they are the WORST estate agent's I've ever dealt with. I was under the impression that they would be managing the property but after moving in we were told this would be managed by the landlord and as you can imagine the landlord was beyond unhelpful. They (Nathan) falsely advertised a parking space with my property and when I would complain I was unable to use it due to the neighbors constantly parking in it I was fobbed off and told there was nothing that could be done. The neighbors would also dump their rubbish in our front garden and smoke cannabis outside the property and we're racist towards myself and my housemates. When this was reported we were told we would need to contact the council and there was nothing we could do. As soon as you sign on the dotted line they're completely useless (Mark). Upon moving out, i was left with expense charges for 'damages' and when I queried this they then doubled the charges as a tactic to bully me into paying because I queried some of the charges they gave me. It was all so stressful I ended up agreeing to the initial charges because I wanted to be done with it. They have since then continuously sent me multiple emails demanding payment even though I have stuck to the payment plan and have now had to correct them on 3 occasions. I genuinely wish I never got a property with them. After a year of hell from my neighbors and being subjected to racist abuse they're still continuing to stress me out. Run for the hills if you're a renter. You will get no support whatsoever once you have signed a contract with them. RUN FOR THE HILLS.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Roman's Tilehurst team who helped us find our first flat in the Reading after moving from New Zealand. Nathan was fantastic at helping us find our home showing us 3 different properties of interest and working closely with us on our tenancy approval. Mark and Lorraine were also excellent answering our tenancy questions and helping us navigate our tenancy application. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for your first flat in Reading.

I bought the property through Romans Sales then used the Lettings team to find me a tenant. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were kept updated every step of the way. Steve, Mark & Nathan from the Lettings team were very helpful & professional and provided great customer service. I would highly recommend Romans and will certainly use them again in the future.

bad service, I booked a visit to a property and the agent called me this morning to cancel as they have accepted an offer. surely you should allow the "booked " viewings to view and not take further bookings.... then make the decision when all viewings have completed and all offers on tiger table . VERY BAD service ! I iwll try to avoid using this agency in the future - Location Romand Tilehurst/Reading.

Mark and Steve at Tilehurst Lettings were great with helping us find a new home. Really attentive and through and can’t thank them enough.

Sarah at Romans recently sold our house and the process was very easy start to finish.
Starting with valuation we received a realistic list price and expected sale price in line with the market. Beware of estate agents inflating value to win business!
Multiple viewings then took place within a week and offers started coming in. Sarah and team coached us through the offers and we agreed on one that worked.
There were a couple of hiccups along the way with the buyer but all sorted quickly and easily despite us being many miles away and hard to contact. The trust we had meant that often Sarah would know our response and explain it to the buyer so conversations went more quickly.
The house was completed in three months which is incredibly fast.

Really great team at Romans Lettings Tilehurst branch. Steve and Mark were fantastic in finding us a property to rent. Super friendly and attentive. They went the extra mile and the whole process was easy. Lorraine also ensured the move was smooth.
