Sash Window Preservation Reviews

We have nothing but the highest praise for this firm and their service, from our very first contact to the installation. We were shown round the works and were able to discuss our precise requirements before confirming and placing our order. We were given a delivery window which accurate and we were kept appraised of progress as the job went into production.
The product is absolutely first class and extremely competitively priced. The two fitters Alex and Daryl arrived promptly, worked very hard all day, were quiet, polite very efficient and tidied up at the end of each session. They were a pleasure to have in the house.
We have no hesitation in recommending Sash window preservation to anyone contemplating replacing / double glazing their existing sliding sash windows. We are thrilled with the result. Thank you!

Great efficiency shown from our first contact through to the completed work.
Your two operatives Matthew and Richard are clearly skilled craftsmen and their work superb.

The guys were efficient, cheerful, respectful of our property and did a great job in 4 days. They were responsive and helpful with a small issue that was resolved well. They cleared up well after themselves.

I’ve used The sash window company twice now. They do a great job at a reasonable price . The only down side is it can be a messy process and I would recommend putting your own dust sheets down in advance of work starting .

We had two big bay windows repaired and reglazed with super thin DG. We are very happy with the service provided by SWP. The original quote was very clear and comprehensive. Scott and Che worked in very wet conditions and were unfailingly polite and uncomplaining. They tidied up each day and left the house neat and clean. Various repairs were carried out very well. A highly professional job has given us two much less draughty rooms, which are also much quieter, which we hadn't really expected.

Great job again making good two sash windows which were basically stuck fast at jaunty angles. Very pleased and wonderful customer service as ever. Would highly recommend.

Very pleasant to deal with and the finished product looks great. We just had a sash reglazed and draft proofed by Paul (who was very polite and just got on with it).

We can't recommend Sash Window Preservation highly enough. The service was excellent from start to finish: from the initial visit, to the correspondence that followed and through to the work itself. The team was courteous, considerate - and perhaps more than anything else, committed to the work itself. They're obviously highly skilled, but they also care about the craft. That care showed in all aspects of the time they spent in our home.

We had an existing bay window (about 40 panes) double-glazed plus a small bedroom window. Scott and Richard, who did the work over three days were great people to work with and we are very pleased with the results. Especially happy that they managed to save a couple of the original bullseye window panes. They were on time and the level of craftsmanship was excellent. Would use them again.

After considering upvc windows we opted to renew our sliding sash windows-3 including a large ‘Venetian’ sash and also to have the single glazing in our large bay window replaced with double glazed units.
As a result we have retained the appearance and character of the house when viewed externally and internally and upgraded the windows and glazing in the process.
Too early to tell if heat loss and condensation issues have been resolved but We’re hopeful.
The work commenced within 1 day of the original start date and completed on time -4 days. All work carried out by Nick and Harry our fitters to a high standard leaving the house clean and tidy each day.
We are very pleased that we went with SWP and happy to recommend them, also glad we supported a local company

I was recommended SWP by a family member who had used them an thought they were great. Totally different job at our house but brilliant work. Friendly team who turned up on time and worked full, busy days to get all the work done on time, were tidy and excellent at explaining everything. And the quality of work is superb. A fantastic experience all round, I'll be getting them back again.

I saw the team working on another job nearby and asked for a business card. Instead one of the team walked across the road with me, assessed to work in resashing and releasing a window and offered to complete the job later in the day! Being a little old-fashioned I said that I would prefer a quote, which I accepted and the work was completed within a few days. The technician knew exactly what to do and completed the job exactly to spec, time and to a very high standard. Well done

We spoke to a few companies looking for someone to double glaze our sash windows. SWP were the only ones who could find a way to do it and keep the original windows, and they were willing to come all the way from Norfolk to fit the job.

The quote process was thorough and easy to follow, with a record kept online of all conversations.

The team of fitters arrived on a Monday morning and worked flat out to double glaze 17 sash windows in a week. They were respectful of the property tidying up as they went along.

We had one accident where a lamp was broken, when someone slipped on a dust sheet. But we were reimbursed for the cost and everyone was very apologetic - accidents happen.

I would recommend SWP, and probably the best compliment I can give is you can hardly tell the windows are double glazed, and it's great to have sashes opening again

Sah Window Preservation have been a very professional company. At each step they have kept me well informed and everyone has been very pleasant and respectful. The work carried out was of a very high standard. I can highly recommend them and will certainly use the company again if the need arises.

An excellent experience from beginning to end what a great Company and special thanks to our installers Jack and Shay who made it all so easy for us. An unhesitating approval.

A hidden gem! Much better than the other window companies that quoted me.

I'm hard to please, but I give Sash Window Preservation Ltd 5 Stars!

I was impressed by the customer service throughout; first a video call, then a quote in person, then I received regular updates before the installation.

The installation was great! The windows are really good quality and we felt the difference the double glazing made immediately. The fitters were really friendly and cleaned up after themselves really well.

Don't look any further, hire Sash Window Preservation Ltd!

Very happy with the work done by Sash Window Preservation. They kept us well-informed throughout the process of ordering and scheduling the work. On the day they turned up on time, completed the job with a minimum of fuss and cleaned up thoroughly. The quality of the work is excellent, and we are extremely pleased with the result.

We are extremely pleased with the result after having two Victorian sash windows renovated with conversion from single to double glazing and new draught proofing. In addition the rotten sill of one window was replaced. I took before and after photos and the new sashes are indistinguishable the originals when viewed from outside.
The work was executed efficiently in under a day with a very neat finish and leaving the area clean.
I took off one star because the job had to be rescheduled by SWP more than once for various reasons. The work itself however was five star.

We have now had 5 windows refurbished and repaired to different degrees from replaced cords and weights to new cills and lower casements. All have had the draft excluder fitted and much to my surprise that made a big difference in terms of noise so guess it has also reduced the heat loss - hard to tell with costs of heating going up! All in all very pleased with work and the professional people that did the work, would definitely recommend them.

We had three sash windows replaced and the workmanship was of an excellent standard. I received a phone call in the morning with an ETA. This guys we on time efficient. They kept the area clean whilst working and did a thorough clean at the end. The completed the work quicker than expected. The windows look amazing.
