We made an inpromptu visit to measure for a future purchase. We were welcomed into the store and all staff were friendly. Whilst measuring, Teri asked if she could help and her friendly manner and advice motivated us to purchase. We were grateful for the manager's discount. A slightly earlier purchase than planned, but a very pleasant buying experience!

The store was nice and clean and organised. The sale person was courteous, patient and efficient.
The dreaded day had come, furniture shopping. But it turned to be an enjoyable experience.

We organised delivery for a Saturday morning around 10am and explained the sofa was going to our elderly mum (90 years) to the salesman whilst mum was present and one of us would need to be there when it’s delivered. He spoke to the delivery driver twice to confirm that would be ok and distance from the store is literally 5minutes in a car or van. The delivery didn’t arrive and no call so I called the head office number to be told around 2pm now as they had made other deliveries. This never arrived so another call and a call back from the actual store to say another 30-45 minutes due to traffic. An hour later still no call or delivery so my sister went over to the store. The sofa was still in the show room and after speaking the sales person the driver was having a break out the back and couldn’t give a time for delivery and said he didn’t know about the arranged time. So my sister said don’t bother now as we had been waiting all day for the delivery. It feels like they say yes to get the sale and then customer service goes out of the window, plus the driver has to be paid £99 cash for delivery which is way to high for the distance and why cash!? You can’t speak to the branch directly and have to call a head office number which just makes the whole experience hard work.

Went into the Chelmsford branch after going to lots of different sofa shops all day.
Paul the salesman was a nice guy and not too pushy (some salesman made me walk out as they were that day)..
He was extremely helpful and I got an amazing deal ... Very happy with the whole experience.

I bought 2 sofa and received in early July. The quality for sofa is as good as expected, but on the logistics side it missed two time. One is totally forgot until I follow up with the CS, and another one shipped to us one day earlier than agreed. But what make us hesitate to recommend ScS is, we are quite surprised when the installers ask for 100 pounds for the transportation fee. At the store we were told both sofa add together we need to pay 40 only. We can see the logistic fee showing on the shop keepers ipad screen, but this doesn't found in the ScS invoice. In fact, 100 pounds are not big money while you are buying 2 sofa together, and I prepare the tips as well as these are the hard work for 2. We are just not happy for this surprise. There is no any invoice from ScS or the logistics company They may ask for what ever figure, say 200 or 300 as they like. What they do is dialed to the shop manager to "confirm" via phone 100 is right money as the industry practice. How this practice can protect customer interest? At the same week, i bought other furniture from varies vendors and all their service charge, no matter to vendor and the logistic company are crystal clear without any hidden traps. That's my first poor purchase experience in big company in UK. The contrast is really big.

They were very helpful and even stayed later to help us out. They made a very difficult decision as easy as possible for us.

the sales staff were helpful and knowledgeable, they helped me choose the chair i wanted. that could not happen with an online order.

We came in to look around and were not only impressed by the store but the young lady Teri who helped us was friendly and helpful without following us around the store like many sales teams do. When we found what we wanted she had all the answers to our questions and we completed the purchase with the minimum of fuss. Teri is a credit to Scs and they are clearly an excellent company.

Went into the store just to browse but bought a sofa. Jackie processed my order, she was polite and helpful and I got my sofa for a discounted price. I would recommend this store. Very happy with my purchase and the service I received.

Had a lovely lady called Teri at the Chelmsford branch help us, did not feel under any pressure to buy, answered all the questions we had and she was very knowledgeable on the products and it genuinely was a great shopping experience

I am happy with service from placing the order instore and to the actual delivery by Alex and Simon the delivery team.

The only issue was that the sales assistant at the Chelmsford store failed to add my daughters name to the "happy to discuss my account with family/friend member". This caused an issue when my daughter called to change the divery date on my behalf. I find it difficult to deal with matters by telephone. My daughter was even with me when i placed the order instore and she gave her mobile number and email address to the assistant. This important detail was overlooked and as i live on my own this information would have alleviated the stress my daughter experienced.

The staff in your Chelmsford branch were very helpfully and worked as a team.
