unprofessional and dangerous
It's been several times that my delivery has been left for me in front of the door of my building, and the driver doesn't take the trouble to come up and give me my food. I didn't eat the food or people could have touched it or something else. I find it dangerous and unprofessional so the food went in the trash. It's unacceptable
Yikes! Delivered wrong order and DID NOT CORRECT
Yikes! So bad. Requested a delivery order at about three in the afternoon for later that evening at 6:45 from a local pizza place. At about 6 o’clock got a text saying that the order was going to be late by about an hour. Called the pizza place and they said they didn’t know what I was talking about. Got another text that said the order was going to be delivered by 6:55. When the order arrived, it was wrong. I got half of somebody else’s order and they got mine. I was having guests over with strict dietary restrictions so it was important that I got the correct food. The restaurant said they couldn’t deliver the correct food and to call the delivery service. The Delivery service said all they could do was refund my money for the missing item and it could not be replaced. It was too late at this point to get a replacement of the food somewhere else.
The driver totally screwed up as was my dinner party. Boo.
Random issues
Half the time im not being helped properly. Sometimes they mess up, and I am the one who suffers from it. If a restaurant cannot complete my order because they are closed or no longer have the food I want, I still get charged, and im the one that has to wait 5-7 days or more for a refund. Why not instantly refund me so I can order from someone else?
Today I placed an order of 2 dishes, but only received one. They're solution is for me to wait a week to get refunded. Great, so now I have to split the food with my wife (which is never an issue for me) only that there are 7 dumplings. The representative abruptly ended the chat when I was still typing. A few of them are rude. If only we could rate them after the chat has ended maybe their boss will take action
Professional Scam Artist
I tried to cancel due to the extended wait time and was denied. Then I never received the order. When I called Grub Hub the supervisor told me that they could not do anything about it. I feel that it's because of my race and will be filing a lawsuit.
Refused to issue refund
Called a restaurant that I ordered from that was pickup only to cancel my order. Was told to call the restaurant instead. In the two minutes it took me to connect to a customer service agent, the restaurant decided to start making my food in a clear money grab that made me in eligible for a refund. The agent was able to offer me a maximum of a $10 refund on a $30 charge, only after I said that the five dollars and seven dollars she originally offered were not acceptable. There were also no supervisors available, so she opened a ticket for me, but I doubt that anyone will call me back. After that she abruptly ended the chat. Poor customer service and I am out $30.

I accidentally went through Seamless to order pizza from Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut didn't know anything about the special offer that Seamless offered. Also, it was a lot more expensive than if I would have just went through Pizza Hut. I didn't have the food delivered, I picked it up. I won't make this mistake again.

They will rip you off by adding a tremendous amount of fees and suggested tip and you'll never have an opportunity to stop the transaction. If you cancel, they'll insist they can't give you a refund and will only give you a credit towards a future transaction. The customer support is horrible. Total ripoff.

Seamless is anything but seamless
This was the first time we used Seamless. The experience has been anything but seamless. I have 2 emails and a text message from Seamless confirming the order. The Pizza store did not receive the order and I didn't have time to wait for them to start preparing several pizzas. The store said they would refund my $87. Multiple times I contacted the store over the past 12 days because a refund has not appeared on my credit card. They tell me they can't figure out why a refund isn't coming through. I contacted Seamless by chat, the only way they make available to get "Customer Care." Even though I have been working with the store within minutes and again within 24 hours, and again over the past 12 days, Seamless says they won't refund because it has been over 48 hours. I asked for a supervisor, who only continued to repeat their policy. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

This company charged me 25% more for pickup, as if it was delivery. That is ridiculous and when you ask to speak to customer service to cancel before you receive your order, they are rude and hang up. Then they take 30%+ commission from the restaurant.

Refused to fix issue until 3 agents in
The driver misdelivered my food and instead of fixing the issue, Seamless accused me of putting in a wrong address (even though I had proof it was correct). I had to speak to 3 people before I got help. No excuse for such poor customer care.
Severely overpriced
Severely overpriced. I wanted to place an order of food worth $32.40 which wasn't bad. But when I went to the full checkout page, it defaulted to $52.39 which is $20 more than the original order total due to "fees". The fees are almost half the cost of the food itself and IMO, not worth it. I ended up going to the supermarket and spending about an hour cooking with $40 worth of groceries that made 3 days worth of food. It seems people like myself who are considered "poor" won't be able to enjoy the heavily inflated prices of these food delivery service apps. I used Seamless back in 2013-2014 and the fees weren't this high back then. Now, I'm sure they're ripping off restaurants which in return, the restaurants have to rip off customers. At the end, you the customer pays everything. I won't be surprised at some point, they will add a payment processing charge telling you they'll charge a fee if you use a credit card too. Never again.
There is a discriminatory practice that warrant an investigation
I hosted a party for a six-year-old and placed a pizza order at 5 pm. Unfortunately, the order was canceled at 6:15 pm after receiving a text at 5:39 pm that the order would be delivered between 6 pm and 6:10 pm. While I was waiting outside for the pizza scheduled to be delivered, a Seamless representative called to inform me of the cancellation, and I was advised to order from Gruphub instead.
My order was clearly canceled because my neighbor is not in a privileged neighborhood. Seamless should not tolerate discrimination and take action to prevent it. It is unacceptable for Seamless to allow themselves to be powerless in this matter. Businesses must address any unfair practices. Restaurants that are unwilling to serve customers outside their neighborhood should refrain from accepting orders from such customers.
As 7 o'clock was when the young children were scheduled to be picked up, I had to make sandwiches hastily. Seamless is misleading customers by falsely claiming to be seamless. Although I received a verbal apology for my negative experience, it failed to address the root of the problem. Providing services to customers of different neighborhoods by another company could offer equal opportunities to those in less privileged areas, which would be a great initiative. Although it may seem like it is just pizza, it holds greater significance for those who frequently are exposed to this behavior.
Delivered but not delivered. I had a team of 9 professional waiting......
I had a team of 9 professional waiting on their food. My instructions to the driver were to deliver inside the office to a specific person. I received a message that the food was delivered but it was not. The person that was on-site waiting for the order never saw anyone pull up. Checked all the doors to the building and other suites and it was nowhere to be found. This is embarrassing and frustrating that you can't connect with the driver (Carrie) and find out where she put the food and have her fix it. She not only has my entire order but also the tip I had to put on the order before receiving it. Won't be using this service again.
Seamless has seems
After 5 years of giving this company my money I've finally had enough. Uber eats here I come. Deliveries went terribly and customer service could care less. If u dont appreciate my business, I'll go elsewhere.
