This was the second occasion that I have used SYC2J. The staff were friendly and helpful and although I did not achieve the valuation I was hoping for, the overall experience was pleasant.
The only 'complaint' is that the initial valuation pre-inspection did not consider the likelihood that stone chips would be present on a 6-year old car. This resulted in a reduction in car valuation which I feel could have been anticipated at the initial valuation stage. There is nothing wrong with increasing the valuation following inspection!!!

I’ve gave you 3 star because Joe was a nice person. He was clear and wasn’t rude personally.
I was hugely disappointed with the price I was offered.
That’s why you only got 3 stars. Should be 2 at best. But Joe made it 3 because he was a nice bloke.
I was initially quoted 2530 for my car.
You had no information other than mileage.
I brought the car in with FSH and very good condition.
Apparently the air con needed re-gassing. And 2 front tyres were good but would need replacing in the future.
But the car also had so much history with low miles and extremely good condition, to only be offered 2000 I thought was an insult and a little rude.
But I respect the fact you need to make a profit. However to drop from 2530 to 2000 and you didn’t know anything about the car was a bit insulting.
I did say this to Joe.
Disappointed and won’t recommend you to a friend but I like Joe and hope he has a nice future.
Hope this is explained clearly.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the valuation. Our initial online quote is based on limited information, such as the registration and mileage, and is always subject to an in-person appraisal. Once we inspect the vehicle, we take into account its overall condition, tyres, service history, any mechanical or cosmetic work required, and the current market.
We completely understand that the revised offer felt like a significant reduction, and we appreciate how frustrating that can be. While we're never under any obligation to purchase a vehicle, we always aim to make fair offers based on what we can realistically pay while covering preparation costs and market values.
Thank you again for your honest feedback. Although we're disappointed we couldn't agree on a price this time, we genuinely appreciate you giving us the opportunity, and we wish you all the best with the sale of your car.

Punctual and professional. Valuation was low considering full tank of diesel and brand new battery. But we accepted it anyway. Would use again but would say the amount we wanted and if not offered would sell private. Just running out of time as going on holiday!

Happy with our initial appointment…
Happy with our initial appointment where we were given a fair evaluation of our car. We were not pressured to make decisions there and then with Stuart and came back a few days later after a couple of emails were sent and responded to quickly.
Tom was working the day we chose to come in to sell and he helped push all the paperwork through and did extra checks of the car. Other office staff were friendly and professional too and made the process easy. Would recommend over more well known competitors for both service received and the price we were given. Thank you!

I sold my car on Saturday with the help of Mike @ the Peterborough branch. If I could put more stars down I would, I found the whole process fantastic and seamless.
I had an outstanding balance on my car which we discussed as I was concerned as I’ve never sold a car myself. Mike explained the process thoroughly and I also sent me a confirmation of the payment to ease my worries.

I booked an appointment late week for a Saturday morning valuation - arrived and met with Steve D who was professional and polite.
Appointment went smoothly, car checked through system, price offered and accepted.
Money landed in account quicker than anticipated, hassle free!!!
Even had things to carry and needed to wait for a lift and Steve offered his office to look after the personal belongings going above and beyond to support.
