Bought a Janome 6 months ago and discovered yesterday when I went to create a button hole that the button hole foot was not included in the accessories. This bag has not been touched since initial set up so no chance of it being mislaid. Called the company and the manager was very unpleasant in his response comparing the purchase of this machine to a bag of groceries that I wouldn't question 6 mths later 😂😂😂😂😂. This wasn't about wanting a freebie-I would have been happy to pay but I thought I would see if the company would offer GREAT customer service first by acknowledging that they had failed to include an accessory. He also talked over me.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service, so I am sorry that you felt aggrieved by our inability to send a replacement foot, free of charge, some six months after your original purchase.
As I explained during our telephone conversation, we have procedures and policies that must be followed. We cannot simply dispatch what is claimed to be a missing part half a year after an order has been received and used.
During our conversation, you expressed your dissatisfaction by stating that "no wonder the country is in the state it is in" I assume because I was unable to authorise a free replacement. At no point did you indicate that you wished to purchase the part. Had you done so, we would have been happy to discuss the available options.
While we appreciate all customer feedback, we believe it is important that reviews accurately reflect the circumstances surrounding the issue and the reasonable procedures that businesses must follow

I didn't know what part I needed so after asking this company & providing photos as asked I proceeded to buy the part they advised. It didn't fit but when I asked for a return they told me I had to pay myself. I wouldn't have bought the part had I known they didn't actually know what they were talking about. Waste of money & time and customer service is a joke.
AND THEIR REPLY TO THIS REVIEW IS COMPLETELY UNTRUE. I Supplied 4 OR 5 PHOTOS, & I DID NOT ASK FOR A REPLACEMENT TO BE SENT. I ASKED FOE THEN TO ARRANGE COLLECTION OF THE PART THEY HAD MISLEADINGLY SOLD ME.

You contacted us through our helpdesk and supplied a photograph, requesting a "bobbin case stopper rear", which is not a standard stock item. Based on the information you provided and images you sent, we supplied the part that matched your description and requirements.
Following receipt of the part, you sent several messages stating that it was incorrect and demanded that we arrange collection. Whilst we were more than willing to investigate further and identify the exact part you required, we explained that the original item would need to be returned for exchange or refund before an alternative could be supplied. It is simply not reasonable to expect a business to send out multiple parts, whilst a customer determines which one they require.
We have many years of specialist experience in this industry, repair and service over 1,600 machines every year, and are recognised experts in our field. In fact, for some parts, we are the only supplier worldwide. We go to extraordinary lengths to help customers, often sourcing or identifying components that are no longer readily available. Our commitment to customer service is demonstrated daily through the support we provide to customers around the world.
Like any professional business, we must operate within established procedures. Returning an unwanted, non-stock item, before an exchange or refund is processed, is a standard and entirely reasonable requirement. We remain willing to assist customers in finding the correct solution, but we cannot disregard our procedures and send out multiple parts without first receiving the original item back.
We believe our actions in this matter were both fair and reasonable, and we are disappointed that our efforts to assist have been misrepresented

Great communication
The deal I wanted was out of stock, so I messaged them to find out if the machine was coming back in and if so would the deal still apply. They answered quickly and offered me a very similar deal ! Was very easy to pay for the special offer and now I just need to wait for delivery.

Sewing Machine Sales using DPD so far Brilliant
SMS firstly made it easy to order their service.
SMS answered their o800 number straight away.
SMS then sent me a text and Email to say my ScanNcut repair was booked for uplift & return for £20.
DPD & SMS then sent me emails telling me how to package Item & my next day uplift time slot.
DPD sent me 3 more emails reducing the time slot period till it was an hour and the van arrived spot on the time at 11.45 (how good was that)
