Shaws Kensington Reviews 

I purchased my flat in 1999 through Shaws and rented through them for many years. They have been thoroughly professional, extremely helpful and offered exceptional service throughout the years. I would highly recommend them. Their staff have been consistently solid and services strong.

We used Shaws as our letting agents for over 5 years. I think that they are better than most letting agents, but their screening of potential tenants did not always prove to be optimal. On 2 occasions we had difficult tenants who caused significant damage to our property. We found these situations tricky to resolve amicably and Shaws did not seem to act in our best interest. There are also several employees at the Shaws Kensington office that deal with different aspects of the letting process and it was difficult to know who to deal with when specific issues arose. Shaws were, however, very good at keeping us informed of maintenance and repairs that were necessary.

The most appalling estate agents I have ever dealt with
In relation to management of flats for their landlords they have no regard for others.
They refused to believe that THEIR tenants had caused water damage to the flat below and had the audacity to ask for evidence!
Most disreputable and dishonest.
Furthermore as an agent they have the nasty habit of charging 15per cent commission on any repairs or maintainance WITHOUT making this transparent.
In short a rather grubby outfit owned and run by someone with different morals and run in a dishonest and disengeuous manner....a West Kensington estate agency to be avoided at all costs.

Shaws is the Go-To estate agency in the Barons Court area. They have been finding tenants for me for five years now, and have always done a good, professional job.

As a landlord, I was disappointed with the quality, and the standard of service.

Shaws were great when letting and selling our house. They couldn't have been more supportive when our tenants turned out to be more than I little bit tricky. Thank you everyone at Shaws.

My only gripe is paying all agency fees upfront but I guess that’s standard.

It would be great if you’d collect post on behalf of owners when requested.

Seem to sometimes forget that they are being paid by the landlords not the tenants.

Overall the service received is what I would expect for the percentage charged - however, am always disappointed that there is never any 'post' service - eg: a simple email ensuring the tenants have moved in OK would suffice. Sort of feel that once the documents have been signed and the money is in the bank, I'm on my own.

Did a very poor job managing my rental property. Check in and check out reports and inventory lists were inaccurate.

Rent was late and unless I chased Shaw’s no one noticed or cared!

I made the mistake of letting them ‘manage’ my property whilst I lived out of London. I was alerted to the fact something was wrong by the plumber. When I went to investigate, my flat was in appalling condition requiring thousands of pounds of work. When confronted, they accepted no responsibility and insinuated I was lying. I was never reimbursed. Truly terrible service and an awful experience. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.
