We bought 2 armchairs and a sofa from this company 6 years ago.The frame on one of the chairs is broken and so the chair is un usable.I contacted the company and the attitude is one of..its out of guarantee now so nothing to do with us.
I am sure no one expects to have to buy another suite after 6 years .They claim their furniture is " Robust".I think anyone would agree that the frame on a robust chair should last far longer than 6 years.
Don`t waste your money.In my own experience the furniture is poorly made,and the company dismisive.

I have always wanted a reclining armchair, but they’re too big and ‘old man’, the long johns and string vest of the furniture world. But whenever I was in a department store, I would try one out, luxuriate in the unaccustomed comfort and marvel that there really were chairs that didn’t contort one’s spine and supported one’s head. I would recline and have a little kip while my dear wife bustled about on important matters and the passing public gave me dirty looks. But I have retired now and have a huge pile of delightful books to read and time to read them, so I bit the bullet and procured, online, a 1832 Roma Royale Dual Motor Lift & Rise Recliner. I’ve been in seventh heaven ever since.

KEEP AWAY from this company in case you have a problem. Unfortunately I didn't think to check here before searching for furniture. They are supposedly reputable and make high quality goods. Untrue. I waited over 5mths for my order and saw faults at delivery, more in the following days. They could not all be rectified on site so I was told via my supplier that they would take it back and refund me.
I emailed them with photos of all the problems, how it passed any quality control I can only guess! I received no acknowledement of my mail and was told on the phone to deal with my supplier. What good company doesn't respond to customers? I'm asking for some compensation as I now have another long search and months with no furniture. I await the outcome through my supplier. I'd never recommend these people on principle despite some of their furniture being ideal for smaller rooms.
I also learnt when my suite was collected that there was a missing part which should have locked the chair back in place! That makes 7 faults in total.
I have now had my refund but despite my supplier arguing my case Sherborne refused any compensation. Disgusting.

We purchased this suite 2/3 years ago and at the time of this review the suite has lost a great deal of the colour, the leather used in the construction is very poor quality, having looked at a few review sites on the internet it is clear to me that this is a common complaint amongst their other customers. I for one will never use this company again.

Received Sherborne settee and chair in July this year. Settee comes in 3 parts. One side has never fitted correctly since day of delivery and this was pointed out. An independent company have sent 2 fitters and today we have had Sherborne rep, but are still unhappy. We have plastic sticky caps on which fall off, and a loose screw, and there is no alignment on the back

There is something seriously wrong with this company. Their sofas come in two sizes, which is brilliant. I rang to ask whether there was any guidance on which size would be suit me as a client. They couldn’t tell me – I should ask the retailer. How would the retailer know unless someone at Sherborne told them? Somebody in the company’s design team must have had particular human body sizes in mind when they designed the different sizes – so why can their customer relations team not tell me?

I contacted Sherborne recently regarding a spare part I required for my riser recliner chair which my parents bought over 20 years ago, as the chair was so old I had little hope that the part would be available and I would have to buy a new one, as the pair of chairs belonged to my late parents they had great sentimental value to me, therefore it was with great joy when the part arrived unexpectedly through my letterbox free of charge, what great service this is, I only wish other companies were so loyal to their customers, thank you to all those involved in making me a very happy bunny 😃

I purchased a leather recliner settee, & 2 chairs from this company. Had bought their furniture before with no problems. However, after 6 years & much care taken with it, was disappointed to find that the seat at one end of the settee was getting very "floppy". I contacted the company, who really didn't want to know, & said that it was caused by sitting too close to the corner!!
As it is a 2 seater settee, I can't imagine how you would sit any other way when sharing with another person.
Neither of us are overweight so dread to think what would have happened if we had been!

Purchased a 3 seater sofa, armchair and a recliner rocker, lovely furniture comes with a 5 year guarantee - that is not worth the paper it is written on. We have had the furniture for 3 years and the middle seat of the sofa offers no support at all, when you sit on it you almost sink to the floor, not what you expect from expensive items. Have contacted Sherborne twice by email and snail mail and they have not even responded to my complaint. Lovely glossy brochures but do not touch them with a barge pole!
