Changes to investment total.
I invested £9000 but the total quickly went down to £8997 which I took to be the way the market worked. After a few days it's back to £9001 so things are OK.

Excellent support! I was trying to withdraw money and couldn’t. Turned out it was a simple technical matter of setting up biometrics. But what was most impressive was the immediacy of the response in the chat, by a knowledgable human being! Who took the initiative to call me and sort everything out! In this day and age of unhelpful bots, speaking and resolving immediately a problem is priceless! Thank you Zara!

Easy to use app and a good selection of savings and investment opportunities. The customer service is good too - the online customer service chat is a real person, who responds quickly. This contrasts to most ‘customer service chats’ on other apps, which are typically useless ‘AI’ chat bots.

If your nerve holds when it crashes…
I like the interest rate (main reason why I am using it) and I was offered a bonus rate for a year. Not sure I will continue once the interest rate drops though!
However, VERY annoyingly, the app crashes at least once a month and the ONLY solution is to delete the app from the phone and reload it. It doesn’t take long, but let’s be honest, if you know you’ve got money in an account that often prevents you having access, it certainly gives you the ‘heebie-jeebies’ until you regain access! It scares me every time it happens!!!

Excellent Company. First class customer support.
I found Sidekick through Moneyfacts Compare, which I always use to check the best savings rates, and Sidekick was right at the top. When rates drop, I simply move my money.
The app was very easy to set up, and the ID checks were completed quickly thanks to their smart technology.
I did have some issues with open banking at first, as my Co-operative Bank wasn’t listed, so I opened a Starling current account instead — that works perfectly with Sidekick.
I have to say, the customer support is absolutely first-class.
Sajni is a real credit to the company and clearly dedicated to her role. Her responses and follow-ups were incredibly quick. I couldn’t have asked for better service.
I would highly recommend Sidekick, and even if the rates drop and I move my money elsewhere, I’ll still keep the account open for future use.
