Excellent online chat service
Been using sidekick for several months and found their customer service to be excellent , had cause to contact online chat help today for a query regarding a deposit, I was very quickly answered by Sajni who resolved my query and reassured me the deposit was being processed and had been received.

Sidekick withdrawals SO SLOW!!!!!!
I am finding the sidekick experience very frustrating.
It’s very easy to get your money into their app but a nightmare to move out.
8 times out of 10 it takes longer than 24hours for money to be withdrawn!! :|
And, thats an internal withdrawal from my saving account to my wallet.
In the 21st century, even the big banks move your money quicker.
I shall be closing my account.

Withdrawals are normally completed within one business day. In some cases our payments partner may request an additional compliance check before releasing funds. It’s a required step, but we know it can add friction, and we’re working on significant upgrades to reduce how often this happens and make timings more consistent over the coming weeks.

Was having problems with the app so I messaged Sidekick help and within a matter of minutes help came by email. After a following the instructions given the app was up and running. Pity the big banks don't react as quick well done Sidekick.

Awful bank. Misleading promotions, they treat you like a criminal under investigation and do not stick to their own terms and conditions for deposits and withdrawals. Expect hassle, delays, and missing transactions with not traceability.

I put some money into sidekick after a sale of a house, I made three withdrawals and all was processed within 24hrs or slightly less so it was very easy to get access to my money. Make sure once you transfer your money into sidekick you put it into the correct place to start earning the best interest for your needs. Overall a great place to store money and it was nice seeing the amount go up as the interest was daily. Thank you sidekick for all your help.

Issues withdrawing cash
They market the account as "easy access" but it is anything but this. I need to withdraw money for buying our house and they warn it takes 24 hours (annoying compared to my other banks) but I plan accordingly. After the 24 though nothing has happened. No acknowledgement of the withdrawal request, nothing has left the account. Frankly its a bit ridiculous in today's age
Extra frustrating when its coupled with the fact they don't have a customer support line and their in-app service is rubbish (the agents go hours without replying). Also looking through the reviews on here (in hindsight) its clear this is a recurring issue. They either aren't able, or can't be bothered, to fix it
For your own sanity I would use another provider if you want anyway reliable access to your cash

To clarify, we do aim to process Easy Access withdrawals within the stated timeframe of 1 business day. In this instance, your request fell into an unexpected delay with our payments partner, Currency Cloud, which we communicated to you on Friday afternoon. This is however beyond our service standard and that’s not the experience we want you or anyone to have.
We also hear your feedback on support. We take response times seriously and we are actively reviewing both our withdrawal flow and in-app support to reduce friction and make updates clearer and faster. Your experience has been shared internally as part of that work.

Frustrating to say the least
The support I received from Sajni was second to none - genuinely empathetic. However, what infuriated me was I wanted to withdraw my money immediately (change of mind) but couldn’t access it for three days. I only wanted it returned to the account whence it came. But I had to prove to THEM that it had gone out of my account (how did they know they had my money??) and a screen shot showing it went to Sidekick is deemed unacceptable. So I had to reproduce a statement. The statement did not prove the money had gone to Sidekick, only to an account in my name…..so what was the point of that? It was only AFTER I had transferred the money into Sidekick that I was asked to provide proof of source of funds. They should make that clear before they take your money so you can decide whether or not to progress with the transfer. (Btw this is not an unprompted review as it seems to suggest).

I was being charged a fortune for investing and had very little visibility about products and performance with my wealth manager. I transferred a part to sidekick to see what would happen and not only is it MUCH cheaper but also much easier to see/ control how my investments are growing.

I had a terrible experience with Sidekick Money. They held my funds for over a month without my consent and never provided any compensation or interest for the time they had my money. Their customer support was unhelpful and unresponsive throughout the entire process.
I trusted them to handle my money responsibly, but that trust was completely broken. I strongly advise others to stay away from this service until they improve their transparency and respect for customers’ funds.

Very happy with the app. Opened a MultiShields savings account easily and have been moving my money into it from CHIP (via my HSBC) as my boost there had ended.
