We had a wonderful stay at the villa.
So close to the airport and easy to find. The house had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The pool was a much appreciated respite from the heat and at times it was hard to leave and venture out and about. That said, the villa is ideally positioned to visit the whole island. We did both the east and west coasts, the mountains and everywhere in between. There are some lovely villages to visit, plenty of beaches and amazing restaurants.
Thank you to Barbara for her excellent recommendations for our two weeks… we ticked off all but one so we’ll save that for next time!

After a terrible experience with a disgusting house in France I would never use this website again. The owners lied about our honest review and called us liars. Simply Owners have done nothing to help us and the owners are still on the site. We lost 1200 pounds as we left the disgusting accommodation and booked somewhere else as we couldn't stay and ruin our holiday. Following on from the reply by Simply Owner I understand they have to remain impartial but feel there should be able to look at evidence, which we have tons of, and decide whether it is fair. Previous reviews were unbelievable in that I don't believe anyone would be happy to stay there. However they should also take into consideration that we're not given the chance to respond to the owners response on the site so it looks like we are lying. And the attitude of the owners was not taken into consideration. If anyone books that horrible house in the future I wish them the best of luck. Or it will be okay if they have no standards!

We are very sorry that you were unhappy with your experience at this property.
We have looked carefully into the circumstances surrounding your complaint and have spoken with the property owner. Unfortunately, there are strongly conflicting accounts of what occurred, and we are not in a position to determine through conflicting statements alone which version of events is correct.
The owner concerned has advertised with Simply Owners for more than three years, has received over 20 five-star reviews from previous guests and, prior to this matter, we have had no reason to question the standard of the property or their conduct. We therefore do not believe it would be fair or proportionate to remove an established owner from our website solely on the basis of one disputed complaint.
It is also important to clarify that Simply Owners is an advertising platform. Holidaymakers contact and book directly with property owners, and Simply Owners does not receive or hold the holiday payment. We will, however, always take complaints seriously and investigate concerns raised with us, as we have done in this case.
We appreciate that you are disappointed with the outcome and respect your right to describe your experience. Equally, where two parties provide very different accounts, we have a responsibility to remain impartial and consider the owner's previous record and all the information available to us rather than simply accepting either account as fact.

The website was easy to use, the property information was clear and accurate, and contacting the owner directly made the booking process simple and reassuring. Everything went smoothly, and we found the perfect holiday home for our group. I would definitely use SimplyOwners again and highly recommend them!

I hadn’t heard of simply owners before using it for our holiday this year. I was a little nervous but I didn’t need to be. The set up is really secure and dealing directly with the owners makes for a great experience.

Extensively tasteful family holiday home in perfect location.
The whole process of dealing directly with the owners made it more personal.
We stayed in a beautiful home on the Lyn peninsula called Haul a Gwynt in Morfa Nefyn.
Susanna was the perfect host with excellent communication with helpful recommendations and ideas to make our holiday perfect for our needs.
The maintenance and cleanliness of the spacious and beautiful home was second to none.
The outdoor facilities, lovely outdoor eating, pizza oven, barbecue and table tennis were a pleasure in the evenings after a long day exploring the beautiful coastal walks and beaches.
We would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

We had a great holiday in a Simply Owners property - there were a couple of alarm bells with the booking (which all turned out to be false) and that showed that although the Simply Owners site provides some reassurances, there are limitations.

You can be charged booking fees
The website states “Book direct with owners and pay no booking fees”
Be aware that the site allows companies etc that have portfolios of many properties to “advertise” their houses on the site, which can result in having to pay booking fees.
I found this out when I tried to contact the owner of a specific property, only to receive an email response from another well known property advertising website company. They said I had to book through them, and they would charge a booking fee, and a compulsory, non returnable damage waiver fee. Surely this goes totally against the principal of the simplyowners website, and I for one feel slightly cheated that the simply owners website permits this.

Simply Owners doesn't charge any booking fees or add anything to the owner's price. We have saved holidaymakers millions of pounds in booking fees over the ten years we have been trading. If you booked one of our properties on Airbnb, booking,com, Sykes Cottages, Hoseasons, etc you would pay around 20% more in added booking fees. You simply pay the owner's price with Simply Owners. That price will include the owner's costs for maintenance, advertising, administration and management of bookings, property management costs etc. These costs will vary from owner to owner as some owners undertake all of these activities themselves, whereas others, who have, say, a property overseas or some way from where they live they will appoint a property manager to look after things. These are the owners' costs, which you obviously have to pay for. Unlike the giant online platforms that add around 20% to these owner costs, you do not pay a penny to Simply Owners. Hopefully this puts this review in context with the 98% excellent reviews we have.
Really great selection of villas
Really great selection of villas. The site is clear on what they do and what is up to the owners themselves I felt well protected by their cover and understood exactly how everything would work. I booked a villa through them and had a brilliant time with a very supportive owner and would do so again.

An excellent choice of company for organising our family holiday
I was very impressed with booking a holiday to Greece with this company. I hadn't heard of them previously so checked reviews etc which were excellent and my review of our recent holiday to Kefalonia is excellent. Great communication and a great service. Will definitely use this company again
