We had Dean do the removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining room whilst also refurbishing, reflooring throughout and installing a new Howdens kitchen and appliances plumbing and radiators and solar controlled Velux windows /blinds. He also built us a media wall from scratch along with acoustic panels with hidden lighting and an LED fireplace and knocking out the old chimney breast. He also arranged for the steels to be installed for the enlarged kitchen doorway and the removed chimney breast.

The whole job took 8 weeks from start to finish with a weeks break in between due to a slight overrun as a result of us asking for addition works. Whilst Dean (assisted by Mark) did the majority of work he does have a team of other professionals to call on to do electrical works, flooring, specialized plumbing, data cables and structural works etc.

In a job of this size whilst things ran relatively smoothly there were unexpected challenges that came up. In these situations Dean would always come up with different options/solutions and let you know what your options were and if you needed it his own recommendations but never pushed you in to anything just because it was the easy option.

Nothing ever phased him and he always does exactly what he says he'll do with great attention to detail. He works on one job at a time and doesn't disappear to do other customers jobs in between times. He project managed the job so other trades turned up when needed without any loss of time.

Both Dean and Mark are tidy workers and as much as is possible tidied up at the end of each day with a minimum of disruption.

I would highly recommend Dean (and his team) so much so that we will be having them back to do the final phase of our ground floor renovations.

We recently hired Southend Extensions to demolish our old bathroom, extend our kitchen, and install new French doors — and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and incredibly efficient. They arrived exactly when they said they would each day and worked consistently to keep the project on schedule. The demolition of our old bathroom was handled quickly and cleanly, with minimal disruption to the rest of the house.

We had a downstairs Utility room converted into a downstairs toilet.
Dean was prompt and professional and did exactly what we asked to a very high standard.

Dean worked with us from start to finish to get what we wanted at the price we needed and really put the effort in. I can highly recommend Southend Extensions after they built me a Flat next door to my daughter’s house. From start to finish they Built & Projected managed my forever home after loosing my husband. Nothing was to much trouble, from sourcing the complete kitchen & bathroom including custom made splash backs which I love to built in storage & wider doorways should my mobility deplete. It started a piece of land and ended with a stunning 1 bedroom flat Thank you so much for building my forever home 4 years on it’s as good as they day it was built

Southend extensions were fantastic throughout our project. To start with we were provided with a really detailed quote that clearly stated the work to be completed and a clear idea on the cost. Communication was brilliant at all times, they attended every day and were very tidy, respectful and considerate to our property and that of our neighbours. The work completed was brilliant and we love the new space that has been created in our garden. They could clearly see our vision and supported us in making decisions that made our project even better.

From conception to completion, Southend Extensions were first class when I had my bathroom and kitchen fitted. They helped with any queries and gave me some suggestions to utilise their vast experience.
