Ordered a Kala Revelator Night Owl and it was dispatched within 2 days. Excellent.
SUS photograph their ukuleles seperately as the colour and wood pattern can vary considerably. What you see is what you get. I chose a darker, heavily patterned mango top. Love it.
Really pleased with the appearance, as shown on the SUS site and the sound from the Revalator is great.
However a couple of small quality issues from Kala could be better.
Appears to be missing satin stain on the base of the neck and the binding running under the mango at one point.
Like it overall so will not return it.

Excellent website (and store) with lots of information and soundclips/reviews; clear, unambiguous pricing, and surprisingly fast delivery. I now have a perfect baritone uke that suits me and sounds just as expected. I don't normally get instruments I haven't tried in person, so I was hesitant to buy online - but I needn't have worried. I've bought a few ukes online from this company and the service has always been great; with excellent service and very quick delivery, dealing with them has always been a pleasure. A couple of days ago I drove 100 miles to visit for an in-store event with workshops and concerts; even on what was obviously a very busy day the guys still found time to make me a coffee and restring an instrument for me. My previous excellent impression has grown still further - it won't be the last time I visit SUS. Keep on doing what you're doing, guys - you're getting it exactly right!

These people really care about ukuleles and offer honest reviews and advice with love and humour as well as setting them up with skill and delivering with care. After sales has been just as good for me. Highly recommended.

I previously had only bought strings from this shop.Anyways after long time i came across the flight iris bk tenor and I have had more expensive ukes.Anyways I thought I would try a shop bought instead of factory as I wanted it set up by a shop this time .So I bought it from the southern ukelele shop and to my surprise they must of checked my previous orders as it came fitted with a low g string and to me they went above and beyond t make this order right for me and it came with a good set up so was well worth purchasing it from them instead of a factory ukulele that isn't set up .I'm more than happy with my new uke so thank you t team at the southern ukulelestore for my order

I have just taken delivery of a Flight Nighthawk Baritone. The delivery was delayed by one day, but I did not mind because someone called me to explain why. The ukulele came very well packaged and played beautifully out of the box.

I can highly recommend Southern Ukulele Store for their amazing service. Even if you find the ukulele a little bit cheaper elsewhere, it is worth paying to know you, and your ukulele, are in safe hands.

I have recently purchased my second Ukulele from Southern Ukes and both experiences were excellent. I placed my order over the phone as I wished to discuss a few points with both purchases and to discuss set up.
It is so nice to actually talk to someone when you need to about the goods you are purchasing.
Both orders were fulfilled as discussed and the set up as agreed.
Unfortunately due to the very extreme heat we have been experiencing my "A" String snapped on my latest Uke before it had even settled down.
I contacted Southern Ukes again to double check that the Set of Strings I was about to order were the same as those that the Uke came with.
I spoke to Romeo who I initially placed my order with and he offered to send me FOC a replacement "A"
This arrived within less than 24hrs of my phone call.
That is what I call Excellent customer service and in fact going above and beyond expectations.

I regularly buy from SUS because of the quality of both instruments and accessories. Their own reviews are a reliable guide to what you’re considering getting. Based on a review, I bought the new Uke Logic/Ukes With Alex Crow strings for my U.S. Revelator baritone. The tone is a step up from the standard strings. As the SUS review says, the top strings (which are further away from the sound hole) are more prominent. After just a couple of days’ use, my impression is that there is more sustain across the whole set. Throughly recommended for thin-body Ukes.

I was recomended Southern Ukulele Store by a fellow uke player having played Baritone for some years felt I was due an upgrade so decided on Solid Mangowood flight fireball. I cannot thank them enough I have never bought on line before but the whole process was quick and easy .I ordered one day and received my lovely new uke next day amazing service it was even still intune. I can't put it down. Pictures on internet and video recordings are very good I must have watched hundreds over last week or so. Well done Southern Ukulele and DPD delivery will definatley shop with them again.

Web site is easy to use and very informative, as is buying and ordering. Bought an excellent ‘Ole L2 and shipped to Singapore (well packed) within 10 days. Excellent service.

Recently visited this store. It’s absolutely amazing, just like Denmark street used to be . Incredible stock of instruments, staff know their stuff and can certainly play if you want to hear one from the front. I bought a lovely baritone uke after sitting on a very comfortable leather settee playing different models. If you can get there take a day and do it, well worth it and they have coffee 👍👍

I have just received my new bass ukulele from this company. This is the third instrument I have purchased from them in the last year.
As usual the service has been excellent.

I have recently purchased a baritone from SUS I thought I had done a good amount of research and knew what I wanted, however on receiving my choice I soon realised it wasn’t for me. The guys at the store were very understanding and accepted my return and helped me make a more suitable choice.

I wanted to upgrade from my beginners uke and buy one with a pickup.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff were more than happy to help me and gave me plenty of time to make my choice.
