I’m not sure if I’m reviewing the shoes or my overall experience with the shop — the title says shoes, but unfortunately my experience with the purchase completely overshadowed the product itself.

The whole process was extremely disappointing. The delivery company failed to deliver my order correctly twice, despite me paying extra for next-day delivery. I eventually received my shoes 7 days later, and at no point was I even offered a refund for the additional next-day delivery charge. It may only be a small amount, but it’s the principle that matters.

What disappointed me even more was the customer service experience. At one point, I genuinely felt as though the company thought I was trying to scam them rather than simply trying to locate an order I had paid for. When I asked the customer service representative, Finn, to consider how the situation felt from my point of view as a customer, the response was: “Well, how do you think we feel?”

That response really summed up the experience for me. As a paying customer who had already spent days chasing a missing order, I expected understanding and help rather than defensiveness.

Unfortunately, what should have been a simple purchase became a week of emails, phone calls and frustration. Very disappointing overall, and based on this experience, I would not recommend the company to friends or family.

Help was great in obtaining information about which brands had a particular size/width.

Deliveries were quick.

Shoes were sent out promptly. Bought because of good price but unfortunately the right shoe had hard glue where the big toe goes so I had to return them. I had to send photographs and another description of what was wrong. They apparently pay a certain amount of the postage for returns and only if the item is faulty. I didn’t have to pay anything at the post office when I dropped them off wrapped back up in all the original packaging. Apparently they deduct postage off the amount they refund. They have informed me the refund has been made although I need to check on the bank account how much.
I did find the return procedure a bit confusing but that was more because of Royal
mail than Start fitness.
Start Fitness do send a free pair of socks with the order. Obviously I returned these too.
Overall, not the best experience but quite good. The prices are good and the service was relatively quick both with postage, and refund. The customer services was very prompt.
I would use again.

I didn’t end up keeping the shoes due to sizing, but the customer service was great. Would order from them again in the future.

Found the size of Regatta shoes I wanted on the Start fitness website as Regatta didn't have stock. Delivery cost good and as a bonus they sent a free pair of socks with my order. Shoes delivered quickly. Excellent service from Start fitness.

I ordered my products through Amazon but were sent directly from start fitness.
The wrong colour was sent but they refused to pay my return postage.
I have sent lots of emails to start fitness(Tom from customer services) is now not responding.

They were on time for delivery and the trainers were good also helpful with payments
