Stompa were excellent. Sadly we’d been let down by a third party company so I contacted Stompa directly and a lovely man called Mike advised me to order direct and that he’d get our chosen mattress to us the following day - and he did exactly that! He also gave me some advice about the mattress and made sure we could track the delivery so we knew exactly when it would arrive. My 10 year old daughter loves the mattress too so it was a very positive experience. We were extremely impressed by their service and product.
I ordered a Stompa bed via John Lewis which included assembly. Arrived with cracked headboard, leg holes not drilled and no instructions. They left the parts at my house, refused a send a new bed and it took 10 days to get replacement parts to finish the job. Very poor service and overpriced for the quality.
We decided to convert our bunk beds into two singles and damaged one of the large screws in the process. I rang up, expecting the usual long waiting times and being passed round various departments. Instead a nice helpful guy answered the phone straight away, knew immediately what I was talking about, and said they would send the screw out free of charge. It arrived the next day. If only all my dealings with customer service departments were like this!
Poor quality.
I am really disappointed by the quality of the product, in particular the chest of drawers that goes under the mid sleeper.
There are holes everywhere that are not needed for the product. The fittings and fixtures are of inferior quality, resulting in the drawers not tightening/ clasping sufficiently and no securing fastenings for bottom front of the drawers. After wiping the unit with a wet wipe some of the paint started rubbing off. Instructions were appalling. I think its a matter of months before it falls apart.
Regarding the mid-sleeper bed frame, this seemed ok at first, however i am noticing within a few days that the paint is starting to flake and bubble where its applied to a knot in the wood. Definitely poor quality and quite expensive for what you get.
I bought a mid sleeper bed with cupboard and desk for my daughter during lockdown. Fantastic quality item - the most impressive thing though is I lost some screws in a house move - they replied immediately and sent replacements in the post. I then damaged a piece of the bed when rebuilding - once again an immediate response and they are sending out a replacement to me. Absolutely first class service - so grateful to the team. Highly recommended
I purchased a Stompa s flex airflow pocket mattress for my daughter as I read great reviews about it. Bizarrely the mattress is 10cm shorter than advertised and there is a dangerous gap at the end of my daughter's wooden bed that she has stood in and fallen over and hurt her legs. It's also very low and soft, so her pillow keeps falling down under her headboard and it's not comfortable for me to sit on to read her a story. Got an extremely unsatisfactory response from stompa when I contacted them. Seriously regret buying this mattress.
Ordered a Stompa day bed with mattress last week after receiving terrible service with another childrens furniture company, my order was passed to the delivery company straight away and they phoned to organise delivery within a week. The order was delivered as promised within the time slot and we paid extra to have the bed assembled. It's sturdy and good quality, my daughter is pleased and says it's very comfy. Excellent service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Company. Thank you!
Dangerous!! Do not buy Stompa mid-sleeper bed frame, bed is falling apart and likely to collapse. We purchase two of these beds for our children, both beds have the same fault, literally falling apart at the top and will collapse. Our boys now have to sleep on the mattresses on the floor. Customer service said its not a problem. The design of the beds is at fault and this will always happen until the design and materials are changed. Stompa are fully aware of this issue and it would seem that have known for some time.
Brilliant customer service. Purchased a mattress a while ago and needed to zip off cover to wash. Unfortunately it tore underneath upon putting it back on. I contacted stompa and they answered quickly and are sending me a replacement. Brilliant after sales and brilliant customer service. Would definitely be confident to purchase from this company again.

Tonight after 11 months my daughter fell through the ladder. A bed that cost over £1,000 where the ladder is made from rubbish MDF.

Bought the Stompa Classic bunk bed and mattresses through an online retail store; Rainbow Wood. Service and delivery were great, with follow up phone calls and delivery information. Delivery was customised to our needs with a phone call confirming exact delivery time on the day. Assembly was straight forward with easy to follow instructions. Where Stompa really came into their own was in replacing a damaged part, which arrived within three days. No quibble, just great service.
Ordered 2 mattresses from them last week, both delivered within days. Good email communication and a very helpful lady on the end of the phone. Very happy with the mattresses so far.
I ordered a mid-sleeper with an estimated 6-8 weeks delivery, got a phone call a couple of weeks later to arrange a date, well within the window I'd been told. The bed itself is great, surprisingly intuitive to build and feels very sturdy, my daughter loves it! There was an issue with the mattress, the wrong size was sent. I contacted customer services and had a replacement the next day! It has to be the best example of customer service I've ever experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stompa to anyone looking for a bed.

Bed frame is of acceptable quality, being made of a softwood with a nice painted finish. It was also pretty easy to assemble.
Cons:-
Chest of Drawers & Desk does not have the same quality feel as the bed frame. It is made of vinyl wrapped MDF and the drawer runners are not even soft-close runners, they're the cheapest of the cheap and it means they don't have a positive close and rest in different positions. I have bought much higher quality furniture from a cheap and cheerful well known furniture outlet.
The pull-out desk does not have a rear floor support and instead rests on two runners that fix to the underneath of the bed, held on by a single screw on one side. This is a glaringly obvious weak point and I feel it's only a matter of time before a child tests their weight on the desk and it/they collapses to the floor. SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW.
The supplied shelf hangs on two metal brackets but as one end is directly adjacent to the ladder it's another design flaw in my opinion because children will instinctively put their weight on the shelf when climbing down and it doesn't seem like it's been built with this in mind. Time will tell.
Delivery. Although the delivery team were polite and professional, I was disappointed with the speed of delivery. I ordered in November for a guaranteed pre-christmas delivery but they couldn't follow through on that, and in the end (after a driver didn't arrive and their lack of dates to fit around my work schedule) we have only just taken delivery of this over 2 months later! We regret telling our daughter about her new bed given the time it took to finally arrive.
Ordered an s flex airflow mattress from them on Friday 15th jan. Got a bit worried after ordering it and seeing the negative reviews on here about delivery so I emailed them straight away. They came back to me within 30 minutes assuring me that the delivery issues they had last year were due to covid delays (so many businesses were affected last year!) and the mattresses were in stock. I’m pleased to say our mattress arrived today (20th jan) quality looks great and I cannot fault their customer service! Please don’t be put off by the recent bad reviews. Covid has made such an impact on so many supply chains. I’m really pleased with their service! Thank you stompa!
Bought the compact bunk beds. The worst beds I have ever purchased!
There were 10 dowels missing , so we had to purchase these ourselves. The holes for the top bunk and ladders were not aligned so we had to drill more holes into the wood so that the screws would actually go through!! One of the length of wood for the side of the bed was split.
These are not cheap bunk beds and the quality is horrendous, had them a week and there is a chip in the ladders already !Do not waste your money on these bunk beds!
Purchased our pocket sprung mattress for my eldest end of August and was told latest delivery would be was 21 working days. At the time every other mattress had a similar delay due to covid-19. We got to day 20 so I called to find that there were no mattresses made let alone being dispatched for delivery! They apologised for not keeping in touch and said another few weeks max..... fast forward to last week and there is nothing until after Christmas!!!!!! Each time I’ve got an update another excuse. Went to dreams got one the following week and they told me their excuses were ridiculous. Called today to cancel my order and despite me telling them we’ve lost out on transaction fee’s and exchange rates (gift from grandmother in NZ) they cant possibly give us anything other than the refund, no good will gestures etc etc. I know these are difficult times but no excuse for poor customer service.
My experience of Stompa is similar to many here. Nearly three months of waiting, constantly being told the order was ready when it wasn't, the never ending saga of mattresses that are there one minute and not the next. Today should have been the day we received bunk beds and the mattresses that had been 'set aside as a priority' but instead, the frames arrived with no mention of mattresses. We sent this back with the courier. Dozens of attempts to phone the company all day and finally had a call returned at 4pm and the manager had no knowledge of the failed delivery and couldn't believe that we'd expected the mattresses to come with it. Cancelled order and now waiting to see if the money will be returned. Rubbish, drawn-out experience of chasing an order. I understand there's a pandemic and things will take longer and may be more difficult, I don't think this excuses such terrible customer service.

Stompa should let people know that they are unable to supply any orders until well into next year (at the earliest) on their website.
I don’t recommend trying to purchase anything from this company.
I've been meaning to send this for a while now, to say that your bed is possible the worst purchase i have made to date. I was excited to get this bed for me son butt it had turned out to beer the worst. It creaks loudly at every movement. Even worse so even coming down the stairs. It shakes at every nicely. It wakes my son up with it creaking in the middle of the night. Just awful bed. A very expensive mistake.
