Stratstone - Mercedes-Benz of Southend Reviews 

Although the car is under warranty, i was charged £218 as apparently the work that was completed is not covered. The problem is still not sorted out. Regret doing business with Stratstone.

A customer for ten years, and have always found the people there to be friendly, efficient and professional. I do wish though that the site had not moved from Progress Road, as parking was easier, and there were always plenty of cars for sale to inspect whilst waiting for mine to be done. Always helpful polite and friendly

There was a comfortable and clean waiting area with refreshments. The staff were very friendly.

Gil & mo were really helpful. Found the exact car i wanted an Aqua Mint Cla with the white and black interior. The handover was very personalised and there was no pressure. I will always buy my cars through Mercedes - Benz of southend!

In September 2026, we drove a full 4 hours from the Midlands to buy a Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe for approximately £21,500 paid in full. Even though they assured us the car had been fully checked and was faultless, within just 40 minutes of driving it away, 4 major issues hit us—problems that clearly were never checked or fixed before the sale.

When we complained, they easily washed their hands of it and passed us off to their warranty company, Opteven; a useless company that doesn't even cover replacing a simple light bulb! They refused to cover the repair costs at the main Mercedes garage, leaving us to pay a significant amount out of our own pocket and go 8 full days without a car.

But the real disaster is this: the dealership completely abandoned us and ignored us. Even independent customer service and complaints teams contacted them to resolve the matter, but they still ignored us and after 2 months didn't even bother to give a dry response!

The choice is yours, but if you buy from them, you will seriously get yourself into deep trouble! As soon as they take your money, no one exists to answer your phone call or listen to your voice. If the car develops a problem, in the blink of an eye you'll have to shell out thousands and thousands of pounds from your own pocket, and no one will be accountable to you. Save yourself from this nightmare and do not deal with them!

I spoke to a top young man ‘ Yamin’ who was extremely helpful and professional. A real credit to the dealership.

They understand old fashioned service , nothing is ever a problem

⭐ Extremely disappointing customer service

I have been a loyal Mercedes-Benz customer, progressing from a GLB to a GLC and now a GLE, but my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz Southend (now Rayleigh) has seriously damaged my confidence in the brand.

My vehicle developed a recurring engine management fault despite recently being in the workshop for diagnostics and servicing. I received conflicting explanations about the problem, was initially asked to pay over £400 for repairs, and was later told that the initial diagnostic checks had not been as thorough as I had been led to believe. I was also left without a courtesy car, causing significant disruption to my work and family life.

To make matters worse, I experienced what I considered to be rude and unprofessional communication from a manager. Although the repair charges were eventually waived and I have now collected my car, the overall experience has been stressful and unacceptable.

I buy new Mercedes-Benz vehicles for peace of mind, quality and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen far below those expectations. I hope Mercedes-Benz UK investigates the matter seriously. Loyal customers deserve better.

Great customer service received at Mercedes Benz in Southend. Phone calls received prior and after service. Kept updated regards when the car was ready and stated time of collection.

Great customer service at Stratstone Southend. I took my car in yesterday and was served by Keith who went above and beyond to keep me informed throughout the process of my car being looked at while I waited. He also saw to it that I was able to wait while the vehicle was repaired as I had a long journey back. Really appreciated the great service. Thank you Keith.

The new southend mercedes site lacks any sort of convenient access. Lacking any pavement access, public transport, very limited parking with an ongoing leaseholder dispute and too dangerous for cycling.
The premises and the team are all great, its just the site location, access and parking.
