Truist is horrible
Truist is horrible. Seems like they took all the negative aspects of the banks that merged and profiting off it. At least the tellers are polite. Never had a bank hold a cash deposit before. I will be withdrawing every penny and finding a new bank for all of my accounts.

I would give Suntrust/Truist minus 1 star if I could. The "transition" between the Suntrust and Truist had been horrible. I am currently locked out of my account for no reason and have been on hold for greater than a half hour to try to get it unlocked. When I go to the bank only a specific Suntrust teller can process my suntrust checks, causing major wait times. The whole thing is awful. Will probably switch banks due to the issues.

I have been having issues with my online banking and I need something fixed ASAP. I called a branch location and they would not help me. I called the customer service number and waited 45 minutes and they hung up on me. Called back and waited 45 minutes again they hung up. I have had enough with this bank.
I have been trying for days to use the app
I have been trying for days to use the Truist app and it keeps telling me it does not recognize my device. I can get on the website with my PC but I miss my app. After the app tells me it does not recognize me it freezes up and won't do anything. We have been a customer of Suntrust since August 1975 but if this keeps up we are going to another bank. Should have known when Truist bought Suntrust and they shut down two branches close to us it was not good news. For the last two years if we need to go to the bank we have to drive 40 miles one way to the closest branch.

This is a complete disaster the Suntrust app was certainly not state of the art but at least it was usable, consistent, and easy to navigate. This looks like a kindergartner designed and built. Will be switching banks if this is the best they can do after a 3 year merger effort
MISS MY SUNTRUST APP
I miss my SunTrust app so very much. I'm even to the point of switching banks to get away from it!! Navigating on it is cumbersome to say the least. Paying bills is pitiful. Why can't ALL transaction descriptions be like the PENDING descriptions so at a glance you can tell what/who they were paid to instead of having to click on each individual transaction. Model it after the SunTrust version that was so easy and efficient. Please.

I have never seen such a mess of an App. After going from the clean, well thought out, easy to use Suntrust App to this mess of an App with it’s dark background and a map salad to figure out how to access what and where, I’m seriously considering switching banks which is just a heartbeat away. And why put the Mortgage at the head of the page? Who goes into their banking App to check their mortgage everyday? Move that down and move important bank accounts with daily activity up to the top of the page. Also daily balance for EVERY SINGLE transaction is just a number-salad and distracting while trying to view Daily activity. Rethink it people and make it user friendly or I will find a better banking App!!

The Truist app is a bloody nightmare. If it’s not crashing when logging on, it’s freezing up. I tried for three days to use the mobile app to make a deposit without success. Apparently something was wrong with the way I signed the check. We’ve been Suntrust customers since 2001, had only minor challenges. This merger has been in the works long enough to have a functional app for customers to use. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer concern Truist has shown.

Truist is balls
Never had SunTrust, I did in have bb&t though. Just wanted to express on some platform how sh¡t truist is. I've never had a singular issue with bb&t. Now that truist has taken over, which remember hasn't been long, I've had two payments of $150 at some glass installation place I never bought, my checks took 5 weeks for someone to finally tell me that someone at the bank cancelled it and I now have to pay an $8 stop fee, my new card (ordered because of someone using my other card to buy glass) has a new, truist-made-up pin that wasn't shared with me. Fucc you.

The app is absolute garbage
The app is absolute garbage. Every time you use it there is a new problem. My credit card accounts which used to be displayed have totally disappeared. Last week it stopped accepting my password. After working with their tech staff for 45 minutes with no luck they put me on hold for 45 minutes and a new tech with no idea what was going on came on the call. Tried to use the chat function…surprise, it doesn’t work. TOTALLY USELESS. I may have to change banks because I need to be able to use a reliable app, like the one SunTrust had.

Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible, and trying to get a hold of someone it’s a nightmare. You wait over 1 hour on the phone, pretty much fighting for your rights. Worst decision!

Truist- no good so far
The SunTrust app was so user friendly, especially when paying bills. The Truist app is not useful in the same way. The SunTrust app would tell show the total of pending bills, easy to navigate tabs and functions, etc. Truist app is dysfunctional in its setup and display.
What genius….
What genius decided the best go forward platform between the SunTrust Online Banking App and Truist joke of an App was the Truist app with no functionality instead of rebranding the SunTrust App. I will give Truist a very small window to restore the functionality or like others will find a new bank. In today’s world we don’t need brick and mortar locations so changing banks is a decision to be made in a heartbeat.
Kind human beings
I am surprised at the negative ratings here, as I have only had very positive experiences with SunTrust. My mortgage was transferred from quicken to Suntrust and that process went very smoothly. The customer service people I have talked with in setting up biweekly payments have been so patient, understanding, and are just kind human beings. I really appreciate being able to do biweekly payments for free and not having to use a 3rd party to set this up.
