Suntrust has/had a modern and multi-functional app that was easy to navigate and included all the programs that Suntrust offered. Now overnight we are forced to convert to Truist app and we are back to the archaic app ages, a dark app with a mess of boxes to just use for banking, no Bill Payment, mortgage, auto, credit cards, etc.Walking away from this disorganization, and now that my my scheduled bill payments are gone I closing my accounts asap!

Suntrust used to be a decent bank, but no longer. The recent migration to the Truist App is a joke. I can't even get signed onto it and their user support closes at 8:00pm. One of the reasons people use the app is it's 24 hour, 7 days a week access. How in the crap can you not have extended support during a huge migration like this? Basically, they don't care about you as a customer. I won't go into details on other problems like charging you to get change, the exorbitant amount of fees they try to charge, or the endless loop you get in on their automated phone routing. I have 3 different accounts with them, but will cancel them all. DO NOT become a customer!! They don't care about you.

Downloaded the Truist mobil ap today as Suntrust is evolving into Truist….. it’s just horrible….. how can a business have such a dysfunctional banking ap….. in this day and age…..truly not acceptable!! I’ll be taking my banking elsewhere!

I wish I could give zero stars :(. I've been with Suntrust 25 years and am changing banks just get away from the mobile experience with Truist. What kindergarten class designed this giant purple monstrosity? I mean it gives me a headache just to try and use it. I can't even deal with this.
Update 12/13/21 - After several weeks and many complaints I see that Truist does not intend to fix the kindergarten version of their app. Bank shopping it is.....anyone have a suggestion on a better bank?

Been with Suntrust for well over 20+ years but this new TRUIST sucks. The Online banking is AWFUL! When trying to do bill pay you can't see how much you have in your account! It's awful and total crap!
I opened an acct
I opened an acct. 10/21/21 and will close immediately! Never have I had such extremely negative experiences (Plural) in such a short amount of time, that I have with Suntrust, Truist, BB&T, or whatever they're calling themselves:-( I just reported my experience to: CFPB (Consumer Finance Protection Bureau)...I don't have the strength to go over what happened, but as the other's have said in their reviews, "STAY AWAY!"
*Update- I read a few more reviews after posting, and saw someone else was told about the, "Backoffice". I think "Backoffice" needs to give the "Front" office more authority to make decisions. Refer to/reach out, contacting backoffice, just sounds like an excuse service reps use to try and dignify the, we're helpless to do anything, response.

Worst company ever
Worst company ever. Be my guest and use them. All the negative comments here are legit. I don't know because if they merge into this company but they need to get their stuff together. Not organized at all and not to mention CS sucks put me hold for 90 min and transfer me another 40 min hold and never got the clear answer. I regret using them for the loan. I need to refinance using different bank and get out of this bank service ASAP.

2 hours on hold
It’s 3:00 pm and I started calling around 1:00 roughly 2 hours on hold And all I need is to get zelle linked to my online app.

The Truist app crashes
The Truist app crashes, can't scroll down and buttons hidden under popup keypad, slow when it functions at all, takes many extra steps to deposit checks than old SunTrust app took. Today it's not functioning at all either in app, or online using pc.
This is the worst bank ever
This is the worst bank ever. I had fraudulent activity on my checking account, my opinion based on certain facts, the fraud came from within. The amount was significant to me and would be to someone else who is on SS. They never called me and said money was stolen out of my account I found out the hard way. Immediately went to the bank, froze my account and opened a new one, mainly because my SS check was going to be deposited in a few, not enough time to change the account. The rep called and they said no problem with the check, once in the old account can be moved to the new account, I just have to go into the bank. Well once there, they said they could not transfer the SS check from the old account to the new, they did not know how, like I believe that. This happened beginning of October, they know its fraud, I have been there a long time, but they to this day refuse to give me back my money. Other banks with good customer service will give you back your money during the investigation, not Suntrust, customer service is horrible and they will not work with you at all. So now I am struggling to pay bills and to live, Suntrust has taken my livilhood.
These people cannot do anything right
These people cannot do anything right. They have too many websites and apps to manage properly. They cannot do password resets without you calling their call center in India. Terrible business practice to boot. Do not open an account with SunTrust or Truist.
SunTrust/Truist has the WORST customer…
SunTrust/Truist has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They cannot help, refuse to do something, say they “can’t”, and end up saying that you need to go to a bank. I am closing my account and moving all of my money to NavyFederal Credit Union. TRUIST IS THE WORST.
Horrible Customer Service--Beware!
Of all the banks that I have ever dealt with, this bank has the WORST customer service ever. Their wait times are 1-2 hours long, they operate on EST, which for someone in CA is pointless, and their customer service agents hang up on customers. They bought over 17,000 new mortgages and then sent out threatening letters and emails saying that we were delinquent in our accounts and threatening to send us to collections in violation of state and federal laws! They weren't even sorry about that and just said that the letter went out "in mistake"! This company should be investigated and punished for that gross violation and abuse of customers. When I asked them to sell off my mortgage and transfer it to another bank they laughed and said that they wouldn't do that because I have great credit and that they didn't want to do that. This is by far my worst experience with a bank, especially with a mortgage by far. Do NOT do business with this bank and pray that they never buy your mortgage.

I closed my account after much difficulty trying to resolve an online issue , where my deposit not accepted.
Then they decided to block my access so I couldn’t fix it online . During that time they keep charging me fees for paper statement not enough funds etc
After 4 phone calls and being told I was responsible for these charges .
I finally had to go to complaint center to resolve and low and behold “ oh sorry you should have not been charged”
Before that I was being forced to pay
Not to mention it’s at least a 20 minute hold to talk to someone and those people always have to check to see what to do.
