I have read many of the comments about…

I have read many of the comments about T Brown’s services and workmanship, and honestly, my own experience does not seem very different from the stories shared by so many unhappy people. What I cannot understand is why these same problems keep being raised again and again, yet no real action ever seems to be taken against companies like T Brown or others who operate similarly.

Sometimes it feels as though the people making decisions are highly educated on paper, but when it comes to treating ordinary people with NO respect, kindness, and understanding, something is missing. Too many residents living in council or housing association homes are spoken to as if their problems do not matter, as if they should simply accept poor treatment and keep quiet. But every person deserves dignity, no matter where they live or how much money they have.

I often wonder how some of these staff members would feel if their own mother, father, brother, sister, an elderly relative, or a single parent in their family were treated in the same cold and disrespectful way. Would they still think it was acceptable? Would they still hide behind company policies and scripted replies?

One thing that stands out to me is how many responses to complaints feel robotic, almost like speaking to an AI chat box instead of a real human being. People write long messages explaining stress, frustration, leaks, repairs, safety worries, and months of waiting, only to receive replies that feel copied and pasted with no real care behind them.

I even read a complaint about one of the T Brown vehicles being driven dangerously in traffic. The person reporting it included the vehicle registration number, expecting the matter to be taken seriously. Yet the response was another standard message asking them to send more information by email, “so the matter could be looked into.” Reading that honestly made me laugh in disbelief. Not because it was funny, but because it felt like the complaint would disappear into another inbox, never to be properly dealt with.

The saddest part is that many people no longer believe their voices matter. They leave comments online not because they expect change, but because they need somewhere to release their frustration, even if only for a moment. I understand that feeling very well myself. Writing this may not solve my own situation, just as many others are still waiting for help too, but at least for a short moment, it feels like some of the weight has been lifted from my chest.

Maybe one day things will return to how they should be, where companies remember that behind every complaint is a real human being, often tired, stressed, worried, or struggling. People are not just job numbers, property numbers, or tickets on a computer screen. They are mothers, fathers, children, pensioners, and hardworking families who want to be treated fairly and with respect.

To everyone else going through similar experiences, I truly wish you good luck, patience, and better days ahead.

Report to Trading Standards ASAP

On 7 May, contractors from T Brown Group (on behalf of Peabody) disconnected my gas without leaving any card, notice, or warning. I spent five hours trying to work out what happened, contacting British Gas, Peabody and attempting to fix the boiler myself. Peabody then promised a 4‑hour emergency call-out from 8am. It’s now nearly 10.30pm, over 20 calls made, and no engineer has attended. Just been told by a night staff that no one is coming so 72 hours me and my child have been left without gas, heating, hot water or cooking. This is unacceptable. I have escalated this to senior management at Peabody and will now report to trading standards and taking it further, including to the local press.

Terrible company please report to trading standards and get them shut down, an absolute danger to our homes.

Today was the second appointment I had…

Today was the second appointment I had made for a repair to my boiler as T Brown failed to show up for tea previous appointment. The appointment was to replace a part in the boiler. When the engineer arrived and looked at the boiler he had the wrong part and had to leave to go and get the right part!
Previously have had similar experiences with this contractor when they carried out a gas safety inspection on a Monday and provided me with an annual gas safety certificate. I called them back two days later to fix a leaky radiator and their operative on that day condemned the boiler for not having a bracket in place. It then took months for them to fix a bracket. Awful awful service. I'm stuck using them as am a tenant and they are the landlords chosen contractor☹️

If I could I would give them 0 star, the worst company ever , I had to cancel my job waiting for them to come and fix my hot water , no one turn up , the staff seem like they are so lazy and don't know how to speak to customers appropriately.

Yet again T brown came out to fit parts…

Yet again T brown came out to fit parts to my dads boiler after several hours and to be told a new parts are required an engineer turned up today to fit the new part whilst he was investigating he told me it requires another part this as been going on for nearly 3 months now my dad hus a 74 year old and is vunerable after being on the phone T brown says they have to order another part but cant give an ETA this is very upsetting for my dad very disgusting customer service from them as they told us to go and buy electric heaters what an absolute joke im escalting this further

I had an AM appointment on 06/02/26. I received 2text messages from the brown group saying they would be late. An AM appointment was booked, not a PM appointment. People have lives to live. Then on the 20/02/26, a T Brown employee comes into my property to service heat interface system. The employee received a message from T Brown and cancelled the job and walked out the door. Then I received a letter from T Brown stating that they attempted to gain access on on the above dates, however you were not home to allow our inspector access.
This company is a joke. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I wrote emails and the response was another appointment on the 06/03/26. This T Brown company still gets paid by Lambeth council. What a joke of a company

They do not even deserve a star! This is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. This company is hiring very incompetent people and does not even have to exist anymore. Instead a solving a problem they cause other problems to your flat and even damage your property and the unprofessional employees are very rude with you when you try to ask them a questions and shouting at you very aggressively. Stay away at all costs.

Continues to be pisspoor

Continues to be pisspoor. Engineers do not come to appointments, one two occasions I have stayed at home from work for no one to arrive. Then someone called Kathryn or whatever will reply to this with some poxy response about please send your details. To do what? T Brown seem extremely incompetent. Just pocketing money from local authorities. Ealing, Hounslow it doesn’t matter where you call from they don’t do what they have been contracted to do. Will be filing a complaint to my local authority, if that doesn’t work will definitely be taking T Brown to the housing ombudsman. Sort your shit out.

I had a horrible experience with T Brown. I reported an issue on 05/01/2026, and as of today, 23/01/2026, the problem is still not resolved. I was given incorrect information multiple times. I was repeatedly told that the required part had arrived, only to later be told it was the wrong one.

I was also told on several occasions that an engineer was outside but could not gain access, which was not true. I have wasted a significant amount of time waiting and rearranging my schedule.

The lack of communication, honesty, and respect for my time has been completely unacceptable. My advice is: do not even think about dealing with this company. If it were possible, I would given zero rating

Horrendous service that has got worse…

Horrendous service that has got worse over the many many years they have held the contract for Ealing Council. They don't turn up for appoinments and do not communicate. They never call back when you select the call back service. 40 mins to get through on the phone. Engineers are bare faced liars claiming they knock and no answer when you have taken time off work to sit in all day

T Brown is the worst company I've ever…

T Brown is the worst company I've ever known. They don't care about the customer's welbeing and you can not trust their words, they never call back. I wonder how are they in business and on Trustpilot. Someone need to look into their business practice.
My friend is 85years old and live alone, they took out her radiators from her flat before Christmas and told her they will call her the next day. They never called to update her on what is going on up to this day. She sat and waited throughout the holiday but nothing came or call. One time they said they came and knock and no one answered, this was a lie which I disputed. I was at my friend's flat awaiting their arrival because I needed to speak to them and no one came.

The radiators were taken out of her flat over three weeks and no one bothered to contact her to let her know what is going on. No communication from them, I have been calling them on her behalf because she is unable to talk due to crying. I called on December 10th to December 31th and they told me some one will call me or my friend shortly. No one called back, I kept calling and was told the same thing, some one will call back and no one did. I called on January 5 and told them about the severity of the situation that my friend has been waiting in the cold flat from when they took out the radiators. I also told them if she dies of hyperthermia I will hold them personally responsible. I also stated the weather has gotten much colder and she is sounding very shivering. The next day they brought her a small portable heater. Which can only heat one place.

She has no heat in her bedroom, living room, hall way and kitchen. Heat only in the toilet.
She was told that they would come back the next day , they did not come or even call any one of us to update us on what is happing.

As a tenant of Peabody Trust

As a tenant of Peabody Trust, I am forced to depend on this crap company on our home heating service. They are very unreliable and very unconcerned on their duties in such important kind of job for people on home heatings problems. Contact them by phone is a premeditated “keep online” for at least 40 to 55 minutes waiting for service. This is a shame company.

Unreliable terrible service

Zero stars. They are by far the worst company we have ever had to deal with. My parents, two elderly tenants with disabilities, live in a Peabody property, and their repairs are handled by T Brown. My parents have now been without heating and hot water for almost two weeks because their boiler started to leak water. An engineer attended on 25 December and stated that a part needed to be ordered to fix the issue. He left without isolating the water supply to the boiler. His attitude was dismissive and impatient. Shortly after he left, the leak worsened, soaking the kitchen cabinets and flooring. The situation became unmanageable, and we had to shut off the water supply to the entire property using the stopcock. T Brown scheduled a part installation visit for 31 December, but no one attended. The engineer later claimed that we were not at home, which was completely untrue. We had been waiting all day in freezing temperatures. No alternative heating was offered. Only after we contacted Peabody, two small electric fan heaters delivered, which are entirely inadequate. During this time, my parents were left without hot water and heating, and initially without cold drinking water. We had to pay privately for a plumber to isolate the boiler from the water supply properly while waiting for the replacement. This way, we could at least have cold water. We were then told an engineer would attend on 2 January to install the part. When we called on the day, we were informed that the appointment had not even been scheduled by the parts department. A new appointment was arranged for 6 January (today) between 8am and 1pm. At 10 am, we called again to follow up and were assured the engineer was on the way and the repair would be completed that day. At 11:35am, an engineer called to say the part had not been received and the appointment would need to be rescheduled for the following day (tomorrow) - but they can't be certain the whatever the part might arrive tomorrow. This is utterly unacceptable. Two vulnerable elderly people, one of whom was recently discharged from hospital, have been left in freezing conditions for almost 2 weeks. There has been a complete lack of compassion and accountability throughout. This level of service is disgraceful.

Absolutely disgraceful service from T Brown.
My heating and hot water have been left unrepaired since 24 December, in the middle of winter. Since then, T Brown have repeatedly failed to attend appointments, turned up outside agreed time slots, arrived without parts, and provided conflicting and misleading explanations for why work was not carried out.
I was reassured multiple times that repairs would be completed, only for this to be untrue. The lack of honesty, organisation, and accountability shown is shocking. Essential services have been treated as optional, and my time and wellbeing have been completely disregarded.
This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a prolonged failure to provide basic heating and hot water, combined with unacceptable communication and broken promises. No company dealing with essential utilities should operate in this way.
I would strongly warn anyone against relying on T Brown for urgent or critical repairs. This experience has been stressful, exhausting, and entirely avoidable had they acted with even basic professionalism.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. Playing with people lives leaving families with no heating and hot water throughout winter. The whole company should be shut down as this goes totally against customer rights.

As ever a nice Christmas Christmas…

As ever a nice Christmas Christmas present from T Brown making an appointment on Christmas eve and not showing up. The staff member who we phoned said they had attended because the engineer said so. This morning found a calling card under a bush outside. Yes, we do have a letter box! We never expected them to attend on Christmas eve because we are used to their behaviour but the lengths these people go to in order not to do their job is preposterous.

I have been without Heating since the…

I have been without Heating since the 18th November called T Brown as they were the designated contractors, someone came out said the boiler was leaking hence it was the reason it kept tripping the electric board for the heating, Engineer managed to get the hot water but wasn't able to do the heating as he said part for the boiler was needed, I kept calling and was told the job wasn't registered and then finally spoke to someone from T Brown who informed me they are waiting for a part, since then no communication I have requested 7 calls backs, bren waiting on the phone for over 2/3 hours at a time no getting through saying all agents are busy.
Contacted my Housing Association Peabody who told me to contact T Brown still no success I have health issues Asthma/arthritis so having no heating is not good. The Engineer gave me fan heaters which are not go for people with respiratory issues no call back from T Brown.
I got through to them on the phone only to be told nobody can come out till the 29th December, I asked to speak to a manager was told nobody is available.
No response to my messages so I informed the guy I spoke to that I did a review of T Brown on Trust Pilot he responded that my choice

Everytime a book is made with time and…

Everytime a book is made with time and date i take time off work without pay, to either be told sorry we have to rebook.

Today appointment book between 1-5 o'clock

Got told drive has 5 more jobs to before coming to me not sure on the time but he will still attend
