Tenpin - Bexleyheath Reviews 

I visit this venue regularly, purely because it's the nearest centre to me. The bowling itself was fine, what lets it down is the lack of maintenance in the arcade, cleanliness of the toilets and attitude of the staff/manager on trying to deal with issues when reported. Its in a great location and could do so much better with a decent management team

The bowling alleys are great busy overall the place is pretty bad. Smashed door quen yoy walk in and its very run down. Could do with an update as has been like this for the last 10 years I have been. Won't be back soon

They wouldn’t accept a physical student id… but they accepted UNiDAYS… as if I can’t just use someone else’s profile… lol

We do like the Tenpin in Bexleyheath but last couple of times we’ve visited there seems to be a string of issues which is partly due to it being so busy but mainly due to insufficient staff numbers. When you have a 25lane bowing alley at 100% capacity I think you can afford to pay more staff given the money it costs to go bowling these days.

Some of the issues.

Bowling booked for 2pm on a Sunday, arrived at 1.45 didn’t get on a lane until 2.20pm. Not ideal when you have excited young kids.

One person manning the bar. Overrun. Can’t keep up. Doing his best but what do you expect. Disgruntled customers waiting ages. Probs lots of people just give up and don’t bother. You’re losing revenue because you can’t be arsed to employ enough people during busy times.

Food was appalling. I’ve never seen such sad and dry, thin burgers in my life. They are a crime against humanity. The price of them vs the quality is a joke. Chips passable but dry and over cooked. Either do better or stop serving food as this is a total rip off.

Gents toilets were absolutely rank. The smell of urine coming from them was seeping out in to the pool table area. Seriously unpleasant.

The bowling itself was fine but the machine and scoreboard went out of sync on two occasions and we had to wait for this to be fixed.

Overall the experience has the potential to be a lot better. The staff are polite and doing their best but honestly they are overrun.

We will return and hope it’s improved but if not I think we’ll go elsewhere in the future as it seems based on current setup they are only interested in how much they can profit from your visit and couldn’t give a hoot about the customer experience.

This is a top tier management issue, not the poor staff on the ground that work there who are clearly trying their hardest.

The waiting time was far too long, especially considering we had pre-booked. When we arrived, the queue at reception was already very long. Once our name was finally called, we were sent to the wrong lane and had to return to reception to be redirected to the correct one.
After we started our game, a member of staff approached us halfway through to ask if we would move lanes because they had double-booked ours. There was no offer of a complimentary game or any form of compensation for the inconvenience.
They were clearly short-staffed, and the food we ordered took around 30–45 minutes to arrive. When it did, it was freezing cold, so I had to return it and request it to be remade.
After finishing our bowling game, we went to the arcade. The cost of the prizes was extremely high, and I spent over £50 on arcade games. When we redeemed our tickets, we discovered that the prizes were overpriced and poor quality. We were offered a toy that was broken, exchanged it for another, only to find that one was also broken. After leaving the arcade, my son removed the tag from the toy, and the head snapped off completely.

Took my daughter and a couple of her friends for her birthday.

Far too much money on the machines 😬 a couple of the machines broke while we was there taking our money then not providing the game so we asked for assistance, one team member was great but the other was quite stroppy like it was too much effort and how dare we’ ask her for help.
Overall though it was a good trip and my daughter and her friends had a great time.

Generally the experience was good. There seemed to be plenty of staff who were helpful and friendly. Everything went smoothly from check in, we played 2 games of bowling and then some arcade games.
A small niggle would be the way they allocate prizes from the arcade. Obviously my daughter wanted to play games for tickets. She won enough to get the prize she wanted and had already seen in the display cabinet at the reception desk. There were 4 styles to choose from but they only had 2 styles in the cupboard and she was told she couldn't have the one off display. To a child, this is devastating news! 😂What is the point of having something on display they can't give a child after they've spent half an hour choosing. Not to mention the parent who has to deal with the fallout and then has to wait another half an hour whilst they choose again! 🙄

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick checking in and getting lane. Drink order was quick.

Me and the whole family went, the experience was epic we could have fun and also listen to music had. A lovely birthday!

Took the grandchildren bowling booked in and was told they would call over the tannoy when the lane was ready - 20 mins later went to ask no one on the desk lots of people waiting. Told to go to our lane people still on it so waited another 10 mins for them to leave it was full of dirty food containers and cups etc asked for it to be cleaned but nobody came so had to clean ourselves. Disappointing visit.

I was extremely disappointed with our visit at Christmas. Following this complaint I have received an apology and a refund: Bowling is an expensive outing for our family, something we usually reserve for special occasions. I visited with my two sons and had booked two games.

While playing, we took a few cans of cola out of our bag, unaware that this was an issue. Without warning, the situation escalated dramatically. A security guard suddenly stood directly in front of me, with a member of staff behind him, shouting at me about the drinks. Their behaviour was aggressive, confrontational, and completely inappropriate.

The incident was shocking and ruined what should have been an enjoyable experience. My son, who is autistic, became very distressed, and understandably so. I was also extremely upset by how we were treated.

Had there been clear signage at the table, an announcement over the tannoy, or if a member of staff had approached us politely to explain the policy, we would of course have complied. Instead, the response was unnecessarily hostile and disproportionate to the situation.

This experience overshadowed the entire visit and left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Sadly, as a result, we will not be returning.

Amazing stuff and lots of fun. Quick service, reasonable prices.

Staff all polite & friendly, good value for money. Food is good too.
