When we arrived. Did arrive earlier than lane booking and had to wait to check in- think they were short staffed - but everyone was doing their best and it did not affect us. Renovation works going on at present but it did feel roomier than before (glad to see the back of the Covid screens!).

The staff were nice and friendly and although there was major construction work going on at the venue it didn’t impede our play. The York Tenpin is amazingly priced and we got two bowling games for half the price of your Leeds venue.

Bowling & Clown Bash Game stood out to me:)
The place was newly renovated and had some great new features, such as a self-service machine that lets you get your own card to tap on the game machine and play. This is quite handy because you can easily top it up when you run out. However, it can be tempting to overspend, but if you are disciplined, it won't get the better of you. Overall, the space was clean and spacious, and we enjoyed our day. My 2 sons and I had a fantastic time! Bowling was great for coordination and getting active, and I liked the clown bash game was so much fun and really tested my reaction time, focus, and hand-eye coordination. A brilliant way to exercise both the body and the brain. Highly recommend! Thank you

A lot of works going on that wasn’t warned about prior to our visit and very loud which my toddler hated so ruined the visit slightly as it was her first time there

Very disappointing visit
Very disappointing visit. It was a treat for my son. We arrived to what can only be described as a building site, a narrow walkway taped off, not even sure the place was open.
Once we found our way to a reception no warm welcome or explanation/apology for the building site that was going on around us. I was looking forward to a large draught Pepsi max with ice but oh no, there was no explanation just told the draught drinks weren't available so had to settle for a warm bottle of Pepsi max, no cup, no ice.
The place shouldn't be open until.the refurbishments are done!

Good game of bowling but the…
Good game of bowling but the overpowering smell of paint was not good. I understand this is all part of the upgrade to tenpin and cant be helped so not a major issue. Disappointed that there are no gluten free options on the menu, this could easily be sorted by having a seperate fryer for the fries and offering something like cheesy chips rather than nothing

Son's birthday…made fun
We had a fun time for my Son's birthday treat after school. The atmosphere is always good here. Never feels overcrowded or busy. Toilets always clean, staff are always welcoming and on hand to help. The prices are really good too. The kids all enjoyed it and we will always come back here. Easy to book. Parking is great.

Good birthday party
Booking process could have been clearer with direct contact with the venue rather than a centralised phone centre but can't fault communication with the venue itself following the booking -- prompt and very responsive.
On the day, there was a small muddle with the food order but that was the only issue. Otherwise it was well-organised with some very nice thoughtful touches to the decorations. The kids had a great time. Food was decent and the kitchen very kindly helped out with the cake.
